oh i know. i'm not saying that it's a good move (read my previous posts in this thread where i talk about ex ky), just that it's a hilarious one.

If Eddie's Air 22S is FRCable it means Easy unblockables. The best EXes have always been Eddie, Ky, Potemkin and Sol. Sol's 236D is great, since if you space it right, you have easy infinite's.

It doesn't launch a billion light years into the air on CH and otherwise is the same move (ie. do it in combos, use meter to continue combo). Regular Michael Sword is pretty meh. FB Michael Sword is cool though, wish regular Dizzy had that instead of (or in addition to) FB bubble.

Sol's 236D is great, since if you space it right, you have easy infinite's.

EX Sol's 236D was changed to a FB in AC+, so no more of those shenanigans if you're playing that version.

Sooo i played with EX testament last night...Wow, he is a lamer. Auto warrant DPs to either side of your opponent = priceless. EDIT: FB BL+regular GD loops make your damage insane.

So does EX Anji actually do anything? That cross up fuujin is :psyduck: if aerial Kai works like Kai on air hit though, thats pretty sweet for things like corner aircombo -> Air Kai -> 5S On

EX Anji pwns a lot in AC+. 6H is multihit with autoguard at the start. 5H is autoguard. 3S is 3-hit. 623+K is a special now that doesn't need to be autoguarded to come out, i.e. FREE wallstick. 623+P is like a DP now, dunno how strong it is. 623+D Forcebreak is almost like Sol's DI Volcanic Viper. And there's a few other things he can do, plus guard cancel instead of autoguard cancel.

I forgot about bubble fish! Bubble fish is the funniest move ever. Necro's anger counter super is awesome!!!! Necro Install seems usefull I dont know if its broken. Yeah you can get knocked out of it by burst or throw (or super?) But if you bait burst/super and avoid throw you can build back enough meter to repeat so you have weird pressure options(Havent messed with it since reload so it may be different)

I suppose the Ex characters could be considered balanced to other Ex characters, but there aer some (Robo-ky, Testament, Dizzy, Jam, Order Sol, Slayer) that I noticed are too spammable (for those who don't know: it means you can almost guarentee victory by using just two or three moves over and over.) to be used against normal characters. (unless you are near perfect with your character of choice! or the Ex player is a noob.) There are some thought that I wold go as far as to say they are balanced against the rest of the cast.

I just unlocked EX Zappa which had me totally stoked. But upon inspecting his move list I am sorely disappointed. He doesn't summon from 236p consistently now so what feels like at best 1/5 of the time if I have no orbs it does nothing. What is with that? Do they want me to end up eating a CH just because by random chance they won't give me a ghost? Sure he can summon the ghost of his choice now ala the input for Eddie's drills but that takes orbs which for that you need a ghost from the 236p method. Then I summoned Roah. They changed his 6H so now I can't do 214S RC 6H cheese. The new one isn't bad it stikes me as a solid launcher. What really kills me is they took out Roahs high and low projectiles. It is like they don't want you to have loops with him anymore. Both of his best tools for putting the enemy in uber damaging combos are now gone. What does everyone else think about EX Zappa. Are there anymore changes about him that I missed that make him into a disgustingly broken monster? Or am I right that he is one of the more weaksauce EX's?

EX Zappa can combo in to his IK. If I remember correctly, the stipulation was that he had to be in IK-mode before he starts the combo.

Did they change his IK somehow? I looked at it and it came out the same as before. No change in input or animation. Still a throw. Still a Ring reference. I got EX Slayer. He is even more retardedly good than before.

Is Zappa's IK a throw, or is it an ublockable? I never confirmed it, but I always assumed EX Zappa could combo into his IK because it was unblockable. So when you stagger them, then lay the IK on them, when they are out of stagger, the can't block/jump away from the IK. I guess reversal backdash? I suppose an easy test would be: knockdown, then meaty IK. Can you jump out? EX+Slayer: CH PikeBunker, PileBunker>FRC x5

I will check when I have someone to play against. Apparently I just thought IKs were always guardable even in EXes. Can't you only do FRC x4 before you run out of tension? That one may be possible but only with shadow color or in practice.

What does everyone else think about EX Zappa. Are there anymore changes about him that I missed that make him into a disgustingly broken monster? Or am I right that he is one of the more weaksauce EX's?

Is this AC EX Zappa, or AC+ EX Zappa we're talking about here? 'Cause AC EX Zappa's pretty stupid. Raoh's j.H bounces on hit, AND can cancel into itself. Spam that move alone, and you got an easy mode infinite.

You can throw people when they're staggered. e.g., close range Slayer 5H xx bite

Seriously.... Zappa's IK is a throw. Always has been. EX Zappa is good. Because you always can use Centipedes. That means that you are 100% sure that you have an invincible move to wake up with or counter poke. Orbs be damned. Also unsummoning with it to blow up the ghost creates combo opportunities. Raoh still hurts people. No one uses EX characters but dropouts and communists.

It is AC version. J.h still seemed the same to me but I am going to check it out some more. I know it isn't a jump cancel or a FD cancel though.

I knew I read somewhere that his IK was a throw. Maybe it was from you Dangief. Thanks for the info on the centipedes. I always have full tension on in practice so I hadn't even noticed that. But don't mind me I am just tinkering around with Exes mainly just to see the extra animations. I don't intend to ever use them competetively. This is just for lulz.

EX Anji is arguably worse than his normal version. Venom and Axl having charge moves as 236 is a bit insane though.

wouldn't a person that follows communist ideals choose non ex characters to make it as fair as possible?id say dropouts would but not commies.golden zappa is hax btw.

nah, communists would all agree that all fighting games have 1 character, with 1 normal and zero moves and it would be +0 on block
