Tae Seong Kim Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 Funny combo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VqKHhSbxks#t=57m50s So if I think I'm understanding correctly, CH 6H causes floor roll right? That's why the second one connected fully. I wonder if that Bullet is really guaranteed? That's super sick if so, like to see how much damage that whole combo would get you. That combo didn't connect. It dropped after the 2nd 6HS, the reflector whiffed, and Sol got hit by meaty Bullet as he woke up. Though from the looks of it. If Potemkin was closer to the corner, the combo might have worked.
Koozebanian Fazoob Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Yeah it wasn't a solid combo, that's the point. Damage reset due to the dizzy. I was wondering if it was possible to shake out in time or if it was gauranteed to get that Bullet. Getting a raw Bullet into full combo would be fucking nuts, probably guaranteed death from most any life.
TheGamingTool Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I know I am WAY late for this thread but I think this Potemkin is really similar to the GGXX#R version. This could be a good thing and a bad thing. All I know is that I want 2S vacuum effect back, best thing that ever happen to a grappler. I guess there are some tools for tick throws like "REJECTED" or the YRC. Edit: Oh yeah, the new shoulder move (not sure if it's a special or a command normal) causes a wall splat. I am sure that be useful for a burst bait or more damage.

Flick Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 ^6K loops, anyone? Yes, you can see FAB's done it many times in matches, but i never saw him doing it completely - the timing is very strict, FAB mentioned it on his twitter. But in some sparring of FAB's ft10 vs JT, i saw him once able to do the complete 6K loop from a 2D(RC), and it does about 55-60% first on Eddie

badgerfan20945 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Is it this sparring session? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2cQCVo1XAM#t=58 He can get 6K 5 times in a combo against Millia. I watched Konsome attempt this in the corner and he had trouble with 6K > hb > 6K > hb. Hell I'd be lucky just to got 6K > hb lol.

Wow, 6K can a lot of damage. I wonder if the loop is like a link. Edit: Now I can stop complaining about dustloops :D

TheGamingTool Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Dat combo consists both of links and hard chargehttps://twitter.com/gou4th_fab his twitter here Oh thanks! Edit: So are there any other tools that Potemkin have that can be use effectively. Like his new special, that rocket thing. I haven't tried the game out for myself but I seen it used as a air throw. Not only that, I haven't seen one person punish it.
Darlos9D Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Oh thanks! Edit: So are there any other tools that Potemkin have that can be use effectively. Like his new special, that rocket thing. I haven't tried the game out for myself but I seen it used as a air throw. Not only that, I haven't seen one person punish it. ICPM can be used as sort of a ghetto air dash if you YRC it right before you get to the enemy or ground. Not sure on its useful properties in air-to-air. I also dunno about his crouching fireburst attack. I feel like he relies super heavily on YRC to really flip out the opponent in close range. Also, this might be kinda hard to execute for a schlub like me, but one could do something like combine YRC with hammer fall to eat multiple hits. Like, do hammer fall, get hit once, YRC, and use hammer fall again to keep moving and eat another hit. Unfortunately his tools in general feel a tad lacking. Heat Knuckle doesn't drop opponents in front of you anymore if you don't extend, and pot buster does so little damage now They just made his actual throws less threatening and that's weird. Then again, at least he isn't Tager and he has actual fucking anti-airs.

Buster? Probably not since cause the opponent is in hit stun but I am just wondering.
Koozebanian Fazoob Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 You can't YRC it on grab no, but you can YRC it on wiff.
Flick Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 You can't YRC it on grab no, but you can YRC it on wiff. I think you can only PRC it on wiff, not YRC. But that's like a waste of meter because of 20frame startup Oh thanks! Edit: So are there any other tools that Potemkin have that can be use effectively. Like his new special, that rocket thing. I haven't tried the game out for myself but I seen it used as a air throw. Not only that, I haven't seen one person punish it. I've seen many Pot players used it as an aircombo ender after connecting a j.H from really high height. It can be used to get in form a far slidehead too, and of course a ghetto air dash like Darlos9D has said
Koozebanian Fazoob Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Nope, you can YRC it on wiff, it's just fairly tight.
Flick Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Nope, you can YRC it on wiff, it's just fairly tight. i think it can only be YRCed on startup, i saw FAB did it 2 or 3 times YRC it on wiff, even with tight timing will be too good, even broken
Koozebanian Fazoob Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 It's definitely after the active frame, you can see it pretty easy in a bunch of vids. There would be no point to using it if it were before the active frame. You can hear commentators mention it too, on occasion. It's definitely not broken or too good because it still has shitty range and mediocre damage, and it costs 25% meter. Also it's not like other characters can't do the same thing with their command grabs either, some of which do more damage than PB does.

Henaki Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 ICPM can be used after slidehead to get in and do a little extra damage, it also has a good hitbox above Pot, and I've seen him use it as a weird anti-air where heat knuckle, 2hsand 6p would whiff because the other person is high above him but not falling.
Henaki Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 depending on the situation yeah. ive seen it stop being used as such in videos but it at least seems to be a decent gambit and causes enemies to approach certain ways a little more cautiously i have seen it hit zato out of his pretty high jK at least twice.
TheGamingTool Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 After watching alot of FAB Xrd matches, is it safe to say that 6K is safe on block?
