D.R.F. Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Did an Akira thing:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDNdeEB7ves Sick as hell
ArtistofLegacy Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Quick question. Is there Cross-Play between PS3 and Vita versions? I have the PS3 version but one of my friends has the Vita version.
Dreiko Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I believe there's only cross-save. It sucks for you guys but honestly, I don't wanna fight against a bunch of wifi-using vita players online so I'm not too saddened by this x.x.
S.D. Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 On another note, the jp wiki apparently has quite a lot of useful information concerning option selects for dealing with Guard Points. Can anyone with proficient jp skills please pull and translate this wiki for the English wiki to help spread this information? Brett posted some of these:  A few ways to option selects against Guard Points:  2A > 2A~B when timed right (gives you  2A > dl. 2A on block)  2A > 2A > 5A+B = 5A > 5B  I totally wrote a typo in that OS tweet - if you do 2A > 2A > 5AB in quick succession, you get 2A > 2A (obviously) not 5A > 5B. my bad lol  Also, from what he was testing on stream some guard point attacks require some change of timing and they're really strict, Kirino's 2AB and Kuroyukihime's 5AB seemed to me rather problematic.
chzchan Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Anyone know how long superflash on EX moves lasts or how long superflash lasts in general? Or is it different for each move/special/super? Trying to do some calculations. Â Been working on this, but it will take a bit more time to complete it. For Tomoka. Lacking a lot, but there's way more here than there is on the wiki. Trying as hard as I can to keep things accurate, but there are a few things that are pretty difficult to measure. How do you vets measure active frames? Â
Silvius Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Selvaria Throw/DP combo using Alicia : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ge1y36mxQLI&list=PLMdR9pWh4x3xmwsUVMlGRetpPB54xxXJR&index=6 Â Edit : 3 assist call combo (with different ender) for 6k3 6k5 damage : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6qqzNNwhw0&index=7&list=PLMdR9pWh4x3xmwsUVMlGRetpPB54xxXJR Â Edit 2 : After some thinking i found that version (6610damage) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R86soyImQz8&index=8&list=PLMdR9pWh4x3xmwsUVMlGRetpPB54xxXJR
Rhiya Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I think you normally get the active frames by ripping the hitboxes from the game >_>
susano Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Welp, someone just ragequitted against my Selvaria and I just got the character today. She's badass though.
chzchan Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I think you normally get the active frames by ripping the hitboxes from the game >_> Â Well then I am limited in what I can do because I have no idea how to do that. I'll provide what I can. Â Also the Selvaria army is becoming real very very fast and I am starting to hate it because she is actually good and pretty hard to fight against.
Coopa Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I straight up resurrected my dead dustloop account to ask for a favor. If you really want to help out your skills and the community, you should translate this page. Apparently it lists a lot of techniques universal option-selects. Anyone willing to give this a try? Tigre Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 "Cleaned up" the Akira wiki page. Do not revert these changes. For everyone editing the wiki- If I can remove a statement and still get the move description still holds true for this game, then the statement wasn't needed. I ran into a similar situation with the Eltnum wiki page for UNIEL. I have never played Akira in DOA or VF. Any reference to these moves in the DFC wiki does not help me learn the character in DFC. Please keep information on a character relevant to the current game/series. (Of course, if there's a DFC2 refering to changes from DFC1 makes). I appreciate all the help on the wiki, but let's keep it all on topic.Concerning the jp wiki, I just pinged Komidol on twitter to see if he could lend us some help with translating that information for us.
Senzaru Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 A more "advanced" and pretty detailed System/Mechanics video is out on nico. Lots of info on Blasts, Potentials, Supports etc... Â PM'd Fragarach about it and he said he'd immediately start to work on it, said it'll probably be ready tonight or tomorrow. Doesn't seem like an official guide though.
skd Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYxlRteU338&feature=youtu.be  made a quick and dirty video about how to exploit the crossup protection in this game. moves at a pretty fast clip, but yeah! its all there.
SoulGuitarist Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Hi everyone! Just wondering if the physical copy of the game has an install option?

Anyone willing to give this a try?  http://seesaawiki.jp/dengeki_fc/d/%a5%c6%a5%af%a5%cb%a5%c3%a5%af  I can take a look after work today (~8 hours), if no one else has taken it up by then.
Fatal Seabass Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Ryuuji throws out three different types of lunchboxes. One of them gives a full bar of meter. The other one gives a small amount of meter. And I have no idea what the other one does. Anyone figure it out yet?
Kyosuke Kagami Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Trying the following combinations: Â -Asuna + Horo -Miyuki + Koko -Tomoka + Dokuro (gawd, her IAAAAAAAA assist is silly) Â Any suggestions?
Angry Guy of DE Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 @ Fatal I think one of the lunches causes poison or something? One of them has a purple aura that should be avoided because it does not give meter. I also don't know how much meter you get from it, probably just 1/3 to 1/2 so you can't call assist > build 1+ bar from lunch. Also I think the Ryuuji Mop assist procs when hit by a projectile. He gets pissed off and gets a red aura and doesn't have to go off-screen to do the attack. Also once he goes off-screen Ryuuji seems to be guaranteed to do the attack on the way back even if you are hit. Seems to do 5-6 hits before disappearing so its easy to confirm into a combo, burst, or super. Also that dude has a very short cool-down for the mop assist version.
yobnomekop Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 So I have this game for the vita, and it doesnt have any sound and I cant seem to switch the colors of the characters. For the sound, it just plays some bgm every once in a while but the rest of the time there is no sound. For the colors, I have unlocked them and equiped them, but once I select the character it returns to the defult color. Maybe I am just really stupid but it would be nice to get some help.
VietGeek Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 So do any EU people play this? I believe @Rowanism (twitter) and his friends play it.
Kitsue Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 There's also some people on the UNIEL EU Skype group that play DFC, myself included. Actually, what was originaly an UNIEL skype group is now kind of an all fighter one, even tho UNIEL is still the main game played / discussed. Â About the game, man, that netcode is so strange, the bar have little to no meaning. But if you stay in your netplay zone, it's usually quite playable, even tho it'll be hard to react to clash moves nonetheless.
