I would sugest trying kino or leafa. They don't depend on "chemistry" with your character to make your neutral much stronger.

Characters with long range attacks - Miyuki, Kuroyukihime, Yukina- use to have a good chemistry with setup assists - Ryuuji, Koko kaga, Kojou Akatsuki, Mashiro Shiina, etc.

This happen because they actually can protect the assists during activation, it's not "absolutly necessary" to score a knockdown to create setups for them. Maybe some of them can work for Misaka...

No idea of what can work for Taiga, it would be better to ask a taiga player...

A friend plays Misaka with Accelerator and his 6S works well with her, he uses the counter mostly as a way to get respect off a corner knockdown, but like caicoa said, lockdown assist are also a strong choice for her.

For Taiga, I saw this video that shows some combos with Dokuro, I use her with Shana and she's IMO one of the very best assists in the game, both her 5S and 6S are strong in neutral and as combo extenders, seems japanese player agree with me as she's played a lot since the 1.03 update.

Thanks, both your suggestions and that video helped a lot. Are there notable taiga/misaka players to watch for research or any here that can offer advice?

Akatsuki is a very reliable assist for Taiga as both 5S and 6S can be used reliably.

6S is very easy to use in ground confirms by calling 6S during the second hit of 5AB to allow 2AB to connect before the launching hit of 6S.

5S is also able to be called during strings to protect from a blocked 5AB done by mistakes and if they are blocking on the ground can allow empty jump low mixups.

Enju is also another good all-around assist with her 5S being able to be used with 5AB to allow power burst follow-up or super.

Enju's 6S is very good with trump gauge active since it functions as a DP in sorts.

The main thing to understand with Taiga is that she suffers from a crippling weakness of having no meterless option on air combos that lead into a KD.  Both Akatsuki and Enju can allow Taiga to use 5[C] to knock the opponent onto the ground and not allow them to tech in the air.  Learning how to do 5[C] so they don't pop out and air tech is vital as Taiga's anti-air ability is non-existent and some characters like Asuna can anti-air her with 2A easily so don't let the opponent get away and make you have to approach and risk getting past their normals.

I'm double-dipping with UNIB, but, I never got this to begin with. I contemplated it, but I really hate the character choices. I don't know that I will get this game even with its US release. Seemed really bad.

Western release confirmed! Coming Summer 2015

I definitely didn't see this coming...

I think my jaw just hit the floor. Day 1 buy for me!

Now, if I could just get the following PS3 games released over here, that would just make my day:

-Phantom Breaker: Extra

-Nurarihyon no Mago: Hyakki Ryouran Taisen

-Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Taisen * Sangokushi Engi

along with a console release of Daemon Bride: Additional Gain, MBAACC, and the latest Koihime Musou fighting game are the others on my wish list. If DBFC can be localized, who knows what we may get? ;)

I don't know what's so surprising about this, even J-Stars is going to be published in English, and it has more licensing issues and niche character choices than this game.

I disagree. J Stars has characters that are much more noticeable in the West because of their overall success. Many people are familiar with DBZ, One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, and other of the series involved in that game. Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax? Not so much. I consider myself a slightly above average manga/anime enthusiast and I was unfamiliar with everyone in that game except for Akira from Virtua Fighter.Heck, I didn't even know about SAO and it's characters. I think that is why it's so surprising to see this game getting localized considering how uncommon the series involved in that game may be.

You probably shouldn't judge things like this based on your personal experience.

Just because J-Stars characters are more popular than DFC ones doesn't mean that the latter are not popular at all. J-Stars has lots of characters no one even heard about outside of Japan (Kankichi? Yamada Tarou? Luckyman?), while DFC is full of characters from shows that aired not too long ago.

But anyways, my main point was that the biggest reason no one expects these games to be published in English is that they have way too many series in them, which means that you have to communicate with too many Enligh license holders. And since J-Stars did it, it was only a matter of time until DFC would do the same.

Oh yeah, true. In terms of licensing, it's normally a nightmare. In terms of relevancy/popularity, I'm surprised DFC is making it over here. J-Stars not so much, even with it's minor characters. I do hope it still sees success so that there will be more people to play against.

WELL SHIT

This game seemed to die an awful death after Xrd and NEC, but I'm hoping this will at least revitalize the community once it hits Western stores. I didn't like this game too much but it'll be neat to give it another try with more people to play with. All in all though I'm just happy that more weeaboo games are coming over here.

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised its coming overseas, and as I mentioned elsewhere, if Aquapazza can come over, so can this, anyways, I just hope the game also shares the same Network Mode region functionality like AP, Xrd, and the upcoming UNIEL, but if not and ends up pulling a Jojo:ASB or AH3:LM, then we weep.

Color me surprised considering the lot of franchises and Sega behind them. But overall that's some good news, the game is quite enjoyable.

I'm legit shocked. This is Sega we're talking about here, who needed help from Sony and the tears of thousands of fans to localize Yakuza. Well, I'm not gonna complain though, day 1!

I don;t know how to deal with rush down with yukina. her 5A to slow to poke with, trump card terrible slow, and A+B moves just don't seem to cut it.  Its really frustrating.

You might wanna use reflexion guard with Yukina, if you use it so that the opponent whiffs a move during pressure, Yukina's range will get you a punish pretty much every time, even if you have to use meter on it, when properly done, it's meter well spent. Also blocking isn't too bad in this game so you don't want to stress too much over it, it's not like someone in this game had Millia's mixups, and also pressure strings aren't that long either.

As for mashing/reversal out of pressure, her 2A isn't one of the fastest but it's not the slowest either, it's ok as a mash button IMO but like with every low, you have to beware of 4ABs that would avoid it, her 5A on the other hand is one of the slowest in the game but I guess that's the price to pay when you have more range than most characters on your normals.
2AB is indeed pretty bad as a reversal but I find 5AB to have its uses, as for the trump card I don't even think of it unless it would make me win the match if it hits, it's a such valuable ressource to use when you have her potential activated.

Was planning on importing a physical copy of this game sometime soon, until I heard the news. Wasn't expecting this game to be localized but glad I was proven wrong.
