All 3C combos involve negative edging D so they are going to get picked up by the staff on return after the first JC...

I can't really imagine the staff coming back in time to pick up after the first JC.

Thanks for the help!

The staff shouldn't actually be coming back to pick up after the first JC. When you negative edge D after a 3C, it'll go away from you which will hit them once and then it'll come back again. If anything, it should be coming back to pick them up after the second JC. I've seen you do some of the earlier 3C combos at SVGL yo, don't knock it until you've tried it!

what do you guys think of using mist stance (staff equiped 41236+D) to counter bursts attemps?

because you could just do a combo and when you see the burst animation, cancel it into mist stance and then free combo by using the A follow-up.

this is obviously when you start a combo while having staff equiped. I think that when you dont have it and its rather far you could do the 63214+A/B jump to escape and throw the staff at them

this is all suposition of course.

In theory it sounds fine. You'd just need to train yourself to see gold bursts.

Although, I wonder if while comboing someone that tries to burst out, is it possible to Tsubame under the burst?

I´ve seen some players do that, but sometimes the staff doesnt hit them either when rising or falling. So I guess mist stance + A should guarantee a combo after it.

Mantenbou´s 2B makes litchi go under Jin ice swords with the right timing (and hitting him when in a proper distance). Seems useful to a degree, though I´ve never seen Jin throwing ice swords without a reason is still good to know (guess if you´re close enough you can combo 2B into 6B 5C 3C and so on)

Help, I need some advice fighting Jin.

So there is this amazing Jin at the Arcade, OMG he's so badass!! But holy shit I suck at the game with Litchi!!!

His Jump B is so broken!! GUARRRRRR!!!

So I'm wondering, what are the best thing's Litchi can do against Jin when she no longer has the staff. And what are good things to use against Jin to prevent him from zoning me!

Also, what are her strongest combos, mid-screen and corner? I hear that when you do a combo next to her staff, you can do a lot more damage/hits. This true? If so, what combos?

j.B against most his moves (you win almost all the time with staff) in air, if he looks like he's going to set 3 icicles jump into the space between them or ground block. j.C if you see him setting up D. Stay in the area between the sword slash and far from the screen. It really depends on the style/kind of Jin you're up against.

Jin's sword slash has a certain radius (And holding invincibility). Gauge that radius, then when approaching jump in faultless for a basic bait and 5B into desired combination. When he's doing a heavy ice sword most 3C staff will reach him before setup. When you're staffless you should probably be focused on trying to get the knock down for the staff call-back rejuggle, or relaunch from the OTG with 2B 2C j.b JC j.b j.c into staff call-back.

Jin is a match up that can be really easy if you know what you're doing and what they're trying to go for; but can be a nightmare if you rush in without thinking.

against jin, instant blocks are the point of the game.

keep the 6B distance and be careful with airdash JB, whenever you see it, instant block.

his JC came out pretty late, you can go for dp. if they decided to not go with JB-Jc, you can just throw.

so yeah, instant block his JB. then it's a mind game which litchi has advantage.

if he run, then punish them with 6B or 5B. Free combo and carry him into corner, you can kill him in there.

but be careful with jins who can use there 5D well, there will be mind game again.

I personaly think it's 4.8 litchi. very much 50-50, just a bit on jin.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWJtX1SrGes combo starts 0:25

litchi noob here...i want to learn her since i am bored of noel.

could someone transcribe what happens after the 5C > 41236D? is that a J > 236C?

thanks!

Well what you've said so far is 5C hit into Stance.

Your video was also removed, so can't really help you there; your notation suggests something that I don't really hear about (Unless you're talking a basic aerial to OTG combination)

I assume you mean this combo:

xxx > 5C 41236D-C j > 236C 5B j.B j.C D air dash j.C D return 6C 623D 6C

This is standard B&B at mid screen.

Also works with 2C at the first 5B but not sure on the character specifics / # of hits it works at

As far as that combo Brent, you should be using 2C since it let's you do easy mode ground 236C on some characters.

I guess you use 5B after 236C when you have more hits or something? I've used 2C exclusively.
