What are we supposed to do for long range midscreen crouch confirms now? T.T

Oh and you say Comet Cannon is faster now. Do we recover from setting it more quickly, or does the projectile just travel faster when shot?

i think we might still have those. not being able to combo after stargazer doesn't sound right at all to me, so i'm praying that maybe they just made it harder to follow up the combo. 

also Comet Cannon, the break shot animation didn't look too much different than on BBCPEX but the projectile itself travels faster now when fired. the JP players say that "its about the same speed as Azrael's phalanx" . another thing i saw was that comet cannon is much bigger now. i think it either gets big from the start or gets bigger after a moment like Kagura's fireball.

soooo......i'm sad now. Shooting Star doesn't wallstick/wallsplat anymore. you can only get the wallstick on CH.. 

Stargazer can't be follow up anymore because of the popup effect on hit being removed. i think somebody said this earlier too. i see what he was talking about now.

 Stargazer and mars chopper now only come out after infinite rush occurs ie 2 hits. It's kind of wierd now since marschopper(overhead) doesn't cause knockdown anymore either.
I think these are for just reseting pressure now since they seem to tech really fast after you confirm either of them.

Sirius Jolt? 41236C The unblockable isn't really unblockable, but a gimmicky low. If they guard low, they can block and it feels pretty safe?
If they guard high, it'll hit and it wallsplats from anywhere, which is really damn satisfying.

2C its faster, so 6B>5C>2C just works, but 6B>5C>214AC>star gazer doesn't work, so it's something to get use to.

5B>6C does not gattling, so you have to 5B>5C>6C if you don't already do that.

Off of max range 5B you might want to go straight into lv1 5D and infinite rush ? Not to sure about this.

recorded some footage of Makoto from a stream last night on Twitch. its all sparring mode though. alot of her changes are shown. especially for her.....*sniff* asteroid vision follow ups....

So I see 5D > 2C not working, 2D > 2C not working, and Shooting Star not wallsplatting/sticking/bouncing/whatever in the corner or on counter-hit...RIP Combos (Yes, I get it, 1st day, but thats some big stuff)

2D>2C works, it's just timing is alot different since 2c Is faster.

Hmmm... not sure how I feel about Makoto this time around... hopefully Goro and some of the other top Makoto players can show me something to get hyped about. Only day 1 though so maybe her tool kit is better then it seems vs bbcpex makoto?

I sure picked a winner to try to main after deciding Mu was dead to me. I never got good with her though, so I guess that's a win?...

Seriously can't stand how they balance this series. This was my favorite game once! I can hardly believe it.

5D > 2C should still work. i saw another Makoto player do it during a combo. everybody just has to adjust to 2C's new speed now. 

 

i've seen like 4 makotos continuously drop 2C > Cosmic ray during a combo. lool

Ok, that sounds a lot better (guy in the video posted missed all his 2D > 2Cs and never tried 5D > 66 > 2C, so I was afraid). Losing 2C in simple combos like that would destroy her, although if Shooting Star lost its combo potential, that is still a big hit.

Is the 2C > Cosmic Ray just really awkward now, or just relatively new players not used to it? And I assume its still a combo staple.

Got to try her out today. I couldnt do 5D>dash 2C

Jolt>wall bound>5CC2C>2D>5B6A>Aerial route think that was almost 3k

Corner

5BCC>2Dlv2>comet shotlv3 or2>6A>2D>2C>ray>aerial forgot the damage but i think it was a lil over 3k

im at a loss for what the bnbs will be this time around :/

havent seen any new footage of her yet too

Also was there a mention about the smp indicator. I did 2 5Ds in one combo and didnt notice any indicator nor did it seem prorated :0

its still a combo staple. the only difference is 2C being faster so everybody just has to adjust to that and things should be good. for good players and new players too.

you can still do 5D > 2C. although it looks like you can only do 5D > 2C while in a combo now. Look at the link below. 

 

i think she still has that same problem from CPEX where you 5D someone, the pushback sometimes won't let you follow up with 2C. also, since some chars got weird hitboxes, try practicing most of this stuff on someone like Azrael or Ragna. 

also, SMP has been removed from nearly all normals - instead, now all Specials have it. SMP is now damage only, it no longer affects the amount of hitstun.

I can feel you, I played Mu-12 as a side character since CS2 and in CPextend I don't even want to play her anymore... I don't even want to play Kagura CF either, it's not fun if he can't do 5K BnBs unless he's really faster.
 
Anyways, I'm panicking about Shooting start no wallsticking, because now it's only use will be OD combos after being used in the 90% of the combos since CP 1.0, that's a jerk change.

Certainly for day 2 Combos they don't look bad, but with a more polishing I'm sure she could get more damage as well.

My whining may have been premature, haha. Played through arcade mode with Makoto today, and aside from the nerf to shooting star messing up my corner throw damage, all the stuff I'd committed to memory still works. Although forward b only gets one hit now? Kind of an odd change. 

Not sure what to do with the new special either.

6B or Forward B only ever did 1 hit, I think your confusing the fact it also has the C follow-up that 5C or Neutral C has.

Also Makoto's new Special can be used after her Back Throw or her Crush Trigger.

forward B one hit? it was always one hit. you're probably thinking of Forward B into C?

we might still be able to use shooting star in a way.  like for resets or something in the corner/near corner. it seems like they removed wallstick from this move because of her new move having it now and shooting star not needed to be charged anymore.... 

 

 

has anyone seen how her drive moves act in OD? does shooting star still get property changes or is it just not a combo staple anymore because its not a "drive move" now...?

Yeah, I meant 6B into CC. If that still works, the buttons on the machine I was playing on were malfunctioning in a remarkably specific way, because I tried to do it a lot of times.
