@AzureRevolver - And also learn the combos after you launch with 6A. In that one video where you were fighting a Ragna, you landed a few 6A's, but you didn't capitalize on the combo potential. Instead of doing 6A>6C>jc>j.B>j.236C, do something like 6A>6C>jc>j.D>6D>5C>6B>236D.

Alright n.n Thanks for the tip, i havent really utilized the drive with the air combos yet so ill probably start practicing it later today

anyone else here getting a lot of tager matches online? i swear to god not only i've run into tons of tager players but also others that suddenly switch to tager aware of how easy the matchup is. lol.

Yes a lot of Tager counterpickers, but thankfully, 99% of them are terrible.

Also I lol hard when they counterpick Tager and I coincidentally happened to pick Mu instead.

lol tagers, my only matches are:

70%: scrub hakumen, that make me feel like a horrendous scrub for not having a 100% win ratio

25%: tagers

4%: hazamas that rush chains into 6A EVERY SINGLE F-ING time

rest: bang

One thing I'm curious about when watching videos from people like R1 is that, how come the opponents let him to poke so much? Is it some kind of a psychological thing, where the opponents know that one good hit turns into a 3.5k+ combo more often than not?

Just seems a tad weird compared to my own experiences with trying to lay on any kind of preassure only to have Ragna "5B IN THE FACE YO!". (Or any other equivelent)

And my my not so amazing blocking keeps getting me trashed, guess I'll have to think of something else.

Scrubs mash out at any time, trust me.

Their AMAZING MASHING is the only thing that lets them survive online.

The XBL world seems to be a little different:

90% Tager

5% Hazama

5% Ragna

I uploaded a simple vid showing Noel's 2b 6c reset after 214a, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY6z5NPg0Qo

It's at 0:09, after that is an example of what you can follow up with. The Fenrir at the end is just fluff, but if you have 50 heat, go for it.

can we get some more resets and or setups that might be possible from different popular situations?

i dont know if its possible but is there anything nice that can be done from a 3c that hits from so far away that nothing else can be added combo wise but you can run up or jump toward the opponent. is there a good oki type game that would work there well?

also anything else that can be added setup and reset wise, i literally have no resets or setups that i currently know or use besides whats quoted.

Can someone tell me a situation where you consciously use 2d to cross up an opponent? It happens occasionally, but without intention. I'd love to abuse the shit out of 2d to its full potential, but don't know when & where

Dash 5a into 2D seems to work quite well for crossup purposes. People usually still crouch block at that point and 2D will cross up if you are close enough. This is assuming you are having the upperhand and pressuring your opponent.

IIRC, Rolls are considered crouching state. So if your opponent rolls, 2D can cross them up.

holy f-ing crap i love that idea, ima have to try that after work today. @ Mizzet, do u know the timing or is there any timing on that 2d?

seems like u just press 2d after in drive 6c.

i CANNOT for the life of me figure out the way to do the drive cancel thing jumping D right before u land to do other drive string moves.

the timing is retarded.

i need some more tools in my box when playing other ppl. i tend to catch alot of people with 6b after 2a or a, 2b or b. but i dont really have any other setups.

videos showing setups are awesome if anyone knows some good ones.

I don't have an easy way to explain how to time the 2d, you know how after awhile you are able to get a feeling of when your opponent is going to tech out? Something like that. Just try it out in training mode, do it too early and it won't reset, wait too long and you will drop 'out' of drive mode or your opponent will be able to tech and stand up, blocking 2d from hopping over. The sweet spot is somewhere in between.

The nice thing though, is that although if you do 2d too early it will not cause a reset, it still combos and doing 2d 623d anyway still gives you knockdown - more accurately they air tech at just the right height above the ground for a 66c.
