  1. So I'm looking at the changes, what's does "bloom trigger slide" mean? Is it her old 236D?
  2. lol, yea feel free to unsticky this guide, the info is like 3 months outdated probably. Haven't really cared about BangBlue for a while actually, and I probably won't care for it when the update comes out either. GL to dragontamer and his crew of stronger Noel players.
  3. Don't get salty now Kyle :p
  4. You have two d. 6b's in your combo. Just cut the second one out completely and you should be good.
  5. The best advice I can give is to learn some basic Bang pressure strings so you know how to instant block them. If you IB his TK D Nails you have frame advantage, enough so that you can mash drive to CH hit him if he continues to try and pressure. Other than that, this MU sucks. His oki options and his ability to combo into daifunka from basically anything, and his 5a, gives Noel a very hard time.
  6. Good times, good times. I must admit, when I first drove into Inglewood and pulled into the casino and saw three cop cars zoom past me, I was skeptical about the venue. However, it turned out to be a pretty chill place. A 5 dollars well spent and worth the hour drive. Good games all, hopefully I see you guys at FFA this weekend. It was nice that there were new players interested in the game.
  7. Tentatively a yes for me, not the most amazing player but I'll support the community. Lets see if more folks post up in the next few hours... Worst case scenario I'll just 1v1 zong for 4 hours lol...get that carl matchup down.
  8. Coming from a Noel players standpoint her 5a frame traps really aren't that good. Just randomly instant block any 5a and just jump out of it. It's a good idea to try and zone Noel out with lobelias, but watch out for spacing. Noel has one of the fast run speeds in the game, and if you whiff a random B/C lobelia at the wrong distance you will be punished. If you want to go on the offensive against Noel, please be aware of Noel's D attacks. I know Rachel's love trying to fish for a combo with some random 2a, 6a, or 4b hit. Keep in mind that Noel has good counters for all of these moves, and that one lucky 5d hit from Noel can easily take 4k+ damage from you. What I would suggest is to always have George covering you before you attempt any sort of offense. 2c is a good mashable move to use during Noel's drive mixups, but Noel players can easily just rapid out of a drive starter attack, bait your 2c, then proceed to haida loop you for half your health. Keep an eye on Noel's meter, if she has 50 heat proceed to 2c with caution. It's an even match-up. If you press too many buttons Rachel will get owned, but if you're patient Noel really can't do shit.
  9. Yea, now that I think about it...if she has that much frame advantage/block stun on her drives then you shouldn't be able to just hold up+back against drive block strings the whole time. How did you calculate these frames?
  10. So say opponent is mashing DP after you do 5D. If you do a follow-up d. 5a will you land a counter-hit?
  11. Is it just me, or is Mu's overhead really fucking fast? I haven't managed to react block it at all.
  12. Limekey went back to Guilty Gear to qualify for SBOs. Smart man. BTW, everyone online sucks.
  13. Well I'll comment on this one then...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dssobr5S2Ls since you have trouble with Litchi You're totally not using Noel's drives right. I don't get the random j .4d's and j. d's you try to land...all of them are insanely unsafe after block (j. 4d is just insanely unsafe in general). Whenever you do land the drives, you just don't capitalize on them. Noel's drive combos are pretty easy hit confirms, no reason for you to give up good damage. I didn't see one combo to tell you the truth. 5d/2d, d. 6a, d. 6c, bnb combo of choice...not that hard to do. You seem to mash during Litchi's block strings...which is a good strategy, especially online. However, you're mashing the wrong thing, at the wrong time. Noel's main mash buttons during pressure strings are 2d/5d/4d. Read your opponent more...take notes of when he likes doing staff 3c and 2d counter hit it. Notice when he likes doing 5b and 4d that shit. It helps to take the time to understand the properties of other character's moves, so you know which D attack counters what. To be honest that Litchi was pretty bad...you should not be losing to him with Noel. Noel's can eat scrubby Litchi's for lunch.
  14. Her normal pokes rape your normal pokes, so you're going to have to rely on 5d/2d a lot. Most Tsubaki's love using their 5b (it's where she sticks out that very fast pink hand) to start their offense. Well timed 5d's and well spaced 2d's will stuff that attack clean. Remember to always punish errant D charges made by Tsubaki. Every charge can be blocked and punished by 5a->6a->combo with the exception of her 236d (the one that goes through you). This however takes a few stocks of her install meter. Her DP is ass, can't get no damage off it. Feel free to pressure her on wake-up if you get a knockdown If the Tsubaki loves charging up meter in the air, run under her and airthrow/j. a to punish. NEVER EVER GIVE TSUBAKI FREE INSTALL METER IF YOU CAN PREVENT IT. Tsubaki with a couple stocks of meter is very dangerous. Try not and randomly jump in against Tsubaki. Her 2c will own any one of Noel's jump-ins for free...and Tsubaki players get a pretty easy combo for 2k follow-up. Without counter-hits and drive meter, Tsubaki simply can't do any damage (definitely not 1/4th of your health bar anyway). Noel's rush down is not very good, and against a fast-hitting character like Tsubaki you have to let her come to you. Fish for whiffs with 5d/2d. Once you have the Tsubaki player afraid to press buttons, then it's your chance to get in and do your rush down. I'm thinking right now you're trying to pressure her with 5a like you're CT Noel and you're just getting counter-hitted a lot. CS Noel takes a bit of getting use to, you'll get the hang of it. If you want, you should just try out Tsubaki for a few games. She's not very hard to use at all....and you'll get a better feel of her weakness and how to play against her.
  15. that set-up in the back is just awful though
  16. Where you live? I'll be down to host a session at my place in Riverside during the evening (or whenever work lets me out). I'll get Kennyon and Odd03 to come along as well.
  17. Shouldn't be that hard to win honestly, people who have no idea how to fight Noel get owned pretty quick if you know her basic drive bnbs. If people try and play you like it's CT Noel they will get raped pretty bad. Sometimes a random spectator/player here will see me land a couple lucky 5d/3c combos on an overaggressive player and ask me if she's S tier lol. Enjoy winning in the first few months, doesn't take long for people to adapt to our risky playstyle haha. Regarding how to IB Noel's CR strings, I just fish for one, almost like guess-parrying in 3rd strike....now that 2d isn't an overhead it makes it that much easier to just randomly IB her. As long as you're not mashing back you probably won't get hit even if you do fuck up the timing, because her drive strings are still quite slow. She also has some really obvious ques in her drive attacks like d. 6C, and I guarantee you all XBL Noels will be spamming that move. The only thing you might want to watch out for is a d. 6b/6d mixup.
  18. If you want an easy out for CR mashing, hold upback (if you're feeling fancy do j. d->623d when you see an opening.) Instant block->4d also works for most cases, and you get a free fatal counter into haida...and Noel's are very easy to haida on. Or if you're like me and like to real life troll, I look away from the screen and start spinning the stick/mashing buttons for 30 seconds and see who wins :p
  19. lol R-1 raging, guess CS Noel's nerfs are getting to him.
  20. I had no idea wtf Hime was doing in that match...the minute Noel was cursed she should have been 2c'ing and airdashing close to her and just start raping. Instead he just sat back...and did nothing o_O. He should have known that with curse on Noel, he could have just been mashing 2a and 6a because any drive counter Noel tries will be stuffed by a bug. I doubt Kouya can beat Hime now though...he is much more beastly in his new videos. BTW, the guy in the vid (Kouya) is in SBO...He qualified in a weak area though, so I'm curious to see if he changed his game up for the big boys (haven't seen vids of him in a while now). I'm not hating on Kouya by any means, I'm just more disappointed in Aksys for giving us such a mashy character lol...this type of playstyle might possibly be the pinnacle of CS Noel, and that makes me really sad, because it's not that hard to achieve.
  21. I wouldn't call them scrubs...they just don't know the Noel match-up (those vids seem pretty dated, so I wouldn't be surprised). Anyway his name is Kouya and he has a love affair with the D button...nothing wrong with that but he just sprays and prays with it. Unfortunately, chain revolver is not a good tool to be mashing. He'll get owned round 1 at at SBO if he doesn't change it up
  22. I hope that Litchi knows that during any part of Noel's drive string she can tsubami gaeshi out o_O
