  2. i really wouldn't put much faith in the X-character-is-high-tier-now talk. remember SSF4 where like half the cast was going to be top tier? we won't know for sure until the game is out for a while.

HOW HARD IS THAT?! yes i know the location test isn't over yet, but too bad. i might unlock if i hear of new changes so ther's actually something to discuss and not idiots moaning about what the mechanics "should" be.
  6. well since most 3Cs basically force an emergency tech now, you get your traditional oki now right? from other knockdowns, you get the old roll-on-the-ground stuff. seems like a fair balance to me. you're sacrificing combo damage for better oki since ending combos with 3C mostly shortens combo length and damage. i'm not sure wtf they're doing with throws. jin can't cancel his anymore, but can still get 2k or so. i don't know how good/bad it is for other chars.
  7. wow what a change (for the better). i'm a bit worried that some things might be too strong on block now, but i guess we'll see... also to everyone who wants this game to be guilty gear... why wait? go play guilty gear! might as well hope that SSF4 arcade edition plays like 3S or CVS2.

  11. wow.... that thing looks like a toilet seat. I think you'd be better off getting one of those madcatz fightpads. Those have 6 face buttons.
  12. those counters aer all active on frame 1 so you can IB > 6D/2D/jD vs a lot of stuff and get a good amount of damage out of it. now it just seems like it ends their pressure and you get to start your own.
  13. asking about tiers is absoultely stupid for a location test. also note taht even though this is the final test, that doesn't mean CS2 will exactly the same as this location test version.

  15. i'd say 5D is buffed compared to CS1 in that it's acutally useful for combo enders midscreen and as a poking tool since it's faster now. the fact you don't get a combo off it (unless you go straight into 214D or wave super) isn't that big of a deal since 5D prorated pretty badly anyways.
  16. mods are supposed to keep an eye out and award medals to those who are considered helpful and "know their shit". that doesn't mean this thread is useless. Far from it in fact. Everyone can see who their fellow members thinks deserves awards and mods can take note. i've also added a category for tournament placings.
  17. i don't think his bugs have been changed at all in the location tests (except maybe damage).
  18. you are right that jump/special cancels are already in the frame data. i just thought they should be there for convenience's sake. The c.5S and f.5S thing i see your point on. I used to think that some attacks would only gatling into one version of the attack (ex: a 2S would only go to c.5S and not f.5S). All of my personal testing has shown this to never be the case so far, so maybe i'll remove that distinction in the tables later.

  22. let's just start with stuff no larger than the size of the bb/gg balls. so around 25x25
  23. so can i ask someone to help make medals for the categories we have so far? They don't have to actually look like medals, but they do have to be fairly small and easily be able to tell what category the medal is in. for example the artist medal could be a paintbrush and pallete

  25. hakumen, hazama, and taokaka are up i'll put up baiken's once you double check it edit: litchi and carl are up. only bb chars left are makoto and valk. of course double checking data for existing characters are always appreciated. remaining gg chars: order sol, robo ky, may, faust, bridget
