  1. i like the risk/reward of the previous 6A compared to what i know of the current one. i dislike the change because 6A counter hit should never happen vs good players, which means if we hit with 6A, we will need to RC to combo after it. If tehy normal block it Jin is safe yes, but probably at a frame disadvantage (that's just a guess on my part) so it's not like you can continue any decent offense after it is blocked. now is the new 6A actually better than the old one? It might be, but it's too early to say. smooshman there is no way 6A is + on block. Otherwise it wouldn't be punishable even on instant block. If it were even jsut +1 on block, then that means on IB it's -4. AFAIK the fastest attacks in teh game come out in 5 frames.
  2. i'm not very good at shoutouts, so i'll just say ggs everyone. had fun even though i had to leave before bb and gg finals to catch my flight. my only regret is i didn't get ot play more bb (but i got to play a LOT of ac). also a big thank you to kyle and the KY crew for letting me stay in their room. i was the short asian guy without glasses who played Ky and Jin
  3. i'm not a fan of the 6A change, but oh well. can't say it's better or worse so far. 5C change annoys me a lot (yes even though the new 5D is fast), but oh well, we don't know enough about the change to say much yet.
  4. Ah yes I forgot litchis 4D and arakune's 6C. Can't do anything about it for a few days probably since I'm out of town. As for instant jump overheads, ill ignore those for now
  5. I went into training mode and went through every character and tried to find what normals gatlinged into their overhead normals. Of course this doesn't account for things like Ragna's gauntlet hades or lambda's TKed crescent or Carl's various shennanigans, but i figured it'd help people learn to block overheads if they knew what attacks might come before it. Character (Overhead): attacks that go into the overhead Ragna (6B): 5A, 2A, 6A, 2B Jin (6A): 5A, 2A Noel (6B): 5A, 2A, 6A, 5B Litchi (6A): [m] 5A, 2A, 5B, 2B [e] 5A, 2A, 5B Litchi (4D): [m] 5A, 2A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 2C Bang (6B): 5A, 5C Bang (5C): 5A, 2A, 5B Lambda (4B): 5A, 2A, 6A, 5B, 2B, 6B, 5C Rachel (4B): 5A, 2A, 6A, 5B, 2B Hazama (6A): 5A, 2A, 5B, 2B Tsubaki (6A): 5A, 2A, 5B(1, 2), 2B(1) Hakumen (6B): 5A, 6A Mu (6B): 5A, 2A, 6A, 5B Arakune (6A): 5A, 2A Arakune (6C): 5A, 2A, 5B, 5C Taokaka (6B): 5A, 2A, 6A, 5B Tager (6B): 5A, 6A, 5B, 5C Tager (6C): 5A, 6A, 5B, 6B, 5C Makoto (6B): 5A, 2A, 6A, 5C (1, 2) Valkenhayn (6C): 5A, 5B, 5C, 2C Carl (6C): 5A, 6B let me know if i missed anything or if there's typos etc.
  6. east coast so scary also, i'm a bit worried: my flight leaves sunday at 7pm, so i'll have to leave at like 5:30 or so... what time do the finals actually start?
  7. what did i JUST say about wishlists? don't make them also, i'm going to be out of town this weekend for seasons beatings so i probably wont be able to update this thread until i get back (or i find some spare time to come in here during the tourney)
  8. yeah, no more 'helpful' google translate posts. let's just wait for someone who actually knows japanese to translate it.
  9. where does it say/show that 2C has more head inv.?
  10. hm... i think you're right spark. if it was a purple throw and hte opponent failed the throw break, it would cause the 2 characters to freeze there until the entire purple throw break window is over right? in the video it seemed like the throw started up pretty quickly.
  11. that's great! finally forward throw isn't totally useless. i also think 2C is a bit faster in these videos, but i don't recall anyone mentioning it in the changes from the first location test.
  12. i don't think 2D was sped up, but it's really hard to tell until you actually play. Like if i went purely by that video, i would have guessed taht 5D went back to CT speed, not faster.
  13. i only saw bang burst once. Lambda bursts twice, and is reduced to 1 primer. Bang bursts once and is reduced to 2 primers. This means that defensive burst reduces primers by half rounded up now. (5 to 2 to 1 where in CS1 it would be 5 to 3 to 2). which means the difference between 5 primer and 4 primer characters is much smaller now: they both go to 2 primers after 1 defensive burst. 5 primer chars better look out for guard crushes more now. With this news, this also means system changes are in the cards now, so who knows what will happen: maybe barrier block drains the meter faster, or proration affects untech time differently, or the throw break window is smaller, etc. now i'm really curious.
  14. i have no idea what you're saying... are you saying some people are listing the commands to special attacks incorrectly? where? 1. in the frame data? then tell me which ones are wrong and i'll fix it. this probably should have gone in the thread titled "BBCS Frame data feedback" 2. in the character guides taht the mods have made? then talk to the person who made the guide
  15. roldy, you're describing traditional okizeme lol. i guess it will depends on just how much time we have after a 5D.
  16. waht did i say about wishlists?
  17. added the shortened 5D freeze time and sekkajin pushback to the first post. where is this info coming from again? a jp wiki? can i have the link please?
  18. wow that's a big buff. if they make it special cancelable now, it'd be too good imo.
  19. ic, guess i'm wrong on that part hten edit: RC shouldn't work since it definitely doesn't work for anyone else's physical attacks.
  20. not only that, but unless you are able to counter the chain on the very first active frame before superfreeze, they can just press A/B/C/D during the superfreeze to stop the chain and you just wasted 50% on a failed yukikaze. i know hazama's chains are a bit wierd in that you can clash with them with normal attacks (like j.C), so they're both physical and projectile attacks. I haven't tested this, but i'm pretty sure hazama is still free to move if you catch a chain with yukikaze.
  21. on the subject of banning stages. i always wondered if we needed to ban "red character camoflaged on red background" scenarios. one solution to this would be to let anyone demand random select for the stage at hte beginning of the match. shrug, never felt like too big of a problem for anyone, i'm just thinking out loud.
  22. slayer is team edward. i guess people don't scroll down...
  23. donate however much you feel comfortable donating. i play online occasionally, if you'd like to play just seek me out.

  24. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?8426-Going-To-Running-My-First-Gathering-Tournament scroll to post #7 titled "Running a Tournament" round/time settings are normally set to default as for the console only characters in BBCS, it's still a bit contested, but i think the general rule is they are allowed.
  25. blade, your strategy really isn't a strategy. in a gun fight, you don't just stand in the open and hope that hte opponent misses his shot; you take cover. also, blade isn't banned because he hasn't broken any rules. everyone does agree that he doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to gameplay.
