  1. It should be obvious that I basically just took that term from wallbound, which is what many moves in this game do in the corner (i.e., Assault Through, Gashoukyaku, our own 22D). Thus, the zenith of their "bounce" will be closer to the ground than moves with actual groundbounce. The number of changes is related, but it's really more that not a lot of thought seems to have gone into them.
  2. It's more of a groundbound, really. The axe kick ender for his DP is the one that has groundbounce. That's probably less the explanation for Tsubaki, and more the game as a whole.
  3. Yeah, just another way that matchup is annoying. Fortunately, however, there are alternatives. 22D>5D(>3CC>RC)>6CC>623C>j.236A(w)>j.214D>5C(w)C>2CC>236X>214X>22B 22D>5D(>3CC>RC)>6CC>623C>j.236A(w)>j.214D>j.D>j.C>665C>2C>sj.C>j.214D I haven't actually tried out the second one, but it should work. You should be able to get at least a full stock from it after the second j.214D, although I can't say if the positioning is as good.
  4. Only if "lame" is an acronym for "lo, awesomely meticulous example." Whereas you don't even get an acronym. Just normal lameness.
  5. It is kind of odd, seeing as Meguro's stuff is usually tailored for looping. Your opinion is lame.
  6. AFAIK, westerners generally tend not to care about supplementary material, so most localization companies usually ignore stuff like novels and information books.
  7. Mori is quoted as saying so here: http://www.siliconera.com/2011/07/01/were-about-halfway-through-the-blazblue-saga/
  8. Totally. Netplay is filled with players better than anyone he's faced, so I just had to get better than him by necessity. SD is short for static difference, which refers to frame (dis)advantage. In other words, I can understand making 5B - on block, but not the extra frame of startup. Anyway, the Batousai post Errol quoted outdoes anything of mine, so I'll stop here.
  9. Hence why I only said, "slightly reduce." 5C could be -7 or -8 instead of -9, and 5CC could be -10 or -9 instead of -11. This would give CCs off of either actual frame advantage. Well, obviously, such a change wouldn't be the only one. To make up for the loss of a proration bonus, P1 on other moves could get buffed so that her general damage increases. Says you. I could keep people locked down for days back then. Anyway, I can actually see why they'd reduce 5B's SD; it's just that the way they went about nerfing it was dumb.
  10. Hmm, I dunno. Looking at some of the matches in the video thread, it doesn't seem too bad. 'Course, if it were me, I'd just slightly reduce 5C and/or 5CC's frame disadvantage, as recovery on 5/2D seems fine enough. They could just remove the bonus proration on 3CC and the FC property on 3C. Hell, they could even give the latter mediocre proration. It likely wouldn't stop spamming, but it at least wouldn't be "stupid." It's Jabaki, not Jakou. Jakou is for combos, not pressure. But yeah, Tsubaki does need better tools for pressure. Maybe not necessarily as good as in CS2, but frame advantage on moves other than 6B would be nice.
  11. Arcsys. Arcsys. Arcsys. Aksys is the NA localization company, not the developer. And yeah, she was solid. But I still say that it turned out that way because they decided to do Extend and P4A at the same time. Not good to divide resources like that when you're a relatively small company.
  12. Could also have been a suggestion from Atlus. Keep in mind, these are the people who made at least one bonus boss with an attack that dealt 1000+ damage even though the playable party's health figures capped at 999.
  13. Or they could just go the SNK route and make a dream match. Not likely, though, of course. Hamuko was mostly just to make up for the lack of FES, I believe, and I remember reading somewhere that she's not canon in P4. So even if she is alive (the ending I got with her was rather vague, so I don't even know if she could be), she could only appear in, again, a dream match. How they got their evolved Personas probably counts as facing themselves, so it's unlikely that they'll encounter their Shadows.
  14. Really? Whenever I tried it, the 2C always red beat. But yeah, like you or BatousaiJ said, it's better to use 5C(w)C>2CC>236x>214x>22B/C on him. You lose the chance to get a full stock from the falling j.D, but still get damage and meter, and you can still get some charge from the 22B/C. As for GH, the first hit is still rather unsafe, so you can still at least get him blocking with 5A so long as you confirm that he lands.
  15. ...What? No. No. Just because it's not as bad as dubs used to be does not make it good. That is fucking stupid. That is probably one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard about dubs. And no, personal preference does not play a role here. That would only be the case if the Japanese and English dubs were both good, which the latter simply is not. To say otherwise is a spit in the face to the actual good dubs the industry has seen.
  16. I forgot about Odin Sphere. That's two games I know of where they did dual audio, then. For instances like KoF XIII and the first Arcana Heart, though, they probably just didn't wanna bother dubbing them for whatever reason. lolno. I honestly do not get why people like the P3 and P4 dubs. I tried to sit through both of them, and P3's was almost painful while P4's was just boring.
  17. Can't speak to the PS2 games, but Catherine also lacked dual audio, even though there's no way it took up almost all the disk space. So yeah, although I hope the game'll have dual audio ('cause the P3 and P4 dubs were rather mediocre), given their history, I have some doubt.
  18. Atlus almost seems to have an aversion to dual audio, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
  19. IIRC, Taokaka also got a changed j.B, while the old one became j.2B. And Airk, they totally don't have similar playstyles. Ragna is "offensive and footsies" and Tsubaki is "rushdown, mix-up and flashy." ...Yeah, the wiki's pretty silly.
  20. ...Yeah, 'cause Relius is totally the only new thing in Extend. No rebalance, no new modes, no new story stuff, didn't change online in even the smallest way. I mean, really, this is as bad as AE.
  21. pktazn/Tsubaki = OTP? Anyways, no one should be offended by your comment. Some might not wanna own up to it, but you're right. Hopefully, she gets better in the next game, but for now...
  22. I know she requires more work. That's the problem. I've improved a lot since CT and CS1 (where everything I learned that wasn't combo-oriented went right out the window when an actual match started), but I definitely peaked at CS2, since I'm simply fundamentally incapable of going past the level of play I've reached. I'd love to keep playing Tsubaki, since her playstyle is my favorite in the game and I really like her mane design, but I simply cannot play her well with all these arbitrary nerfs. I mean, if they'd been balanced out with some more buffs (bring back JC-able 3C and give her normals some actual priority, plz), it wouldn't be so bad. But, as pk has said before, they seem to just not know what to do with her. @Errol: Fuck Ragna. And you'd think after CS1, they'd realize that, "nerf the stupid good shit, buff the stupid bad shit, randomly change everything else" isn't an entirely reliable method. I mean, yeah, you do wanna change things up, but a good portion of Extend's rebalancing just lends credence to my theory that it was just put out to satiate players who won't get an actual new game since resources are going to the P4 fighter and/or cash in on the Vita, and thus got much less thought and effort than CS2's.
  23. Fighting games in general have been leaving a bitter taste in my mouth for a while. KoF's netcode is shit, I can't play GG worth a damn, I can't play most of my other games with anyone, BB somehow has a knack to piss me off even though no other FG does, and I find myself completely unable to improve in any significant way. Sorry to act like Star-Demon, but the one goddamn character I actually got decent with having everything but damage taken from her isn't exactly sitting well for me. Especially since things were actually looking encouraging, between the discussions here and the match vids posted (including your own). But no, I pick up the game and am forced to remember how much I fail at this genre, and that the only reason I did a half-decent job in the last installment was because Tsubaki had some good, pretty easy to use shit that over-shone the weaknesses that weren't addressed. Well, fine, fuck it, I'll either kick character loyalty to the curb and switch characters or just drop multi-player. Like a wannabe boss. Again, really sorry for the drama, I'm just pissed off right now. Ignore me and my bullshit if you like.
  24. ASW is fucking dead to me. You guys have fun with your abused girlfriend of a character, I'm gonna go play games made by people who know what the fuck they're doing.
