  1. Speaking of that, I've been struggling with the super's input, as well, though it seems that his flying grab is relatively safe, so it usually doesn't end too badly for me (even if its longer start-up means it's harder to punish things). Mind you, no one ever shields around here, so that might change over time. It feels that the best way to avoid that is to release the stick/pad and input it like 45236, but that takes a little bit more time than I'd want it to. What are you supposed to use that grab for, anyways? I never see it, which is a pity, since it looks awesome. Is it just a fringe combo ender?
  2. My take on it after playing the game is, why would you mash a single button to get a combo when you can mash whatever buttons you want and still get a combo?
  3. You can't, it's like in P4U (except with no unique normals).
  4. I was afraid that playing Merkava might leave me disappointed, since I know quite a few people who ended up dropping their expected mains, but he's actually everything I expected and more. Sure, my combos were sub-optimal as hell, but I didn't ever have to resort to the auto-combo feature, since his moves just flow so well together, other than maybe 6C whiffing up close sometimes. Also, I had a brilliant moment of doing a nice CS combo on the fly simply based on what I assumed would work, and guess what, it did, even scoring me a round. Hell, even his colors (which I thought were all pretty damn bad) look pretty neat in-game, with those shiny lines on his body, fireballs changing color, etc. A little neat tech that I noticed is that 3[C] not only dodges many attacks, but also has a hitbox right above Merkava. While it doesn't seem useful in combos or neutral game, it's just nice to know that the move works exactly like how it feels it should to be. Oh, and it's still a feint on an overhead, of course.
  5. Got a chance to play the game at a game center today, and it's scary how little time it took me to get used to the game's mechanics and flow. It just feels baby-buttocks smooth. Or maybe it's just because I spent so much time reading and watching the guides. Just a couple more days till my disc arrives...
  6. Ah, I see. There aren't that many countries that AmiAmi doesn't ship to, and even then, it mostly concerns specific kinds of merchandise that Ky figure doesn't fall into.
  7. You might like this post from the last page:
  8. Except that he stays good even at the higher level of play.
  9. They sure do: Ray is pretty much Bobobo with a stubble.
  10. That's not really enough to be similar to Liz.
  11. EDIT: Disregard me, the thread failed to update before I posted this.
  12. It's up! http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1406188674
  13. You just answered your own question.
  14. Celica and Lambda are part of the BBCP 2.0 package, and we still don't even know whether it's going to be DLC or a separate disc. If they announce any characters after release, the chances are great that they'll come with a balance update, as well.
  15. Don't forget about the Adachi stream tomorrow at 17:00 by Japanese time! No link to it yet, but I expect it to be up around here: http://ch.nicovideo.jp/atlus
  16. I feel that Celica is way too basic to be broken: she's basically a cute shoto with a doll. The only way she might end up broken is if her combos deal obscene damage for no reason or if her healing ends up better than everyone expected. Actually, I'm more afraid of her joining Makoto as a character who has no broken tools and is just "fair". Also, Minerva is totally looking like Thanatos in that super.
  17. Finally, a thread where everyone can ask how much the game costs and which PSN regions have it. Anyways, pretty much everything you should know is already explained over here: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6703-importing-101/
  18. Pretty sure it's drawn by the Xblaze guy rather than Mori.
  19. Don't have the game yet, but for the throw, you're supposed to both mash the buttons AND spin the stick to increase the amount of hits.
  20. Gotta repost it here, as well: Celica A. Mercury's playstyle A new heroine who leapt through time! Intense combination attacks with Minerva! Drive: Minerva The Drive ability of the finally playable Celica is "Dynamic combination attacks with Minerva". By inputting different directions, you can change the type of the combination attack. Basically, you can mash them in any order as soon as you land a successful hit! The poses that they strike together are also a sight to see! Throw: Kokonoe-made automaton "Minerva" throws the enemy away with an intense blast! (Also pay attention to Celica's cute motions as she happens to be in the attack's way!) D attack: Pay close attention to the various attacks that these two perform by combining the button presses with directional inputs. Special move - Ash Rotir: The two raise their fists upwards; perfect for attacking airborne opponents. Overdrive - Rege Light: Not only do the Drive attacks become more powerful, but Minerva's health also regenerates thanks to Celica's powers! Distortion Drive - Armure Sorbet: Of course, Celica can use her healing magic! It also happens to restore Minerva's health, too! How much can this ability affect the battle? Special move - Lance Quiche: Celica rides the transformed Minerva and charges forward! Distortion Drive - Casque Velouté: Minerva transforms to deliver a powerful super-move of countless slashes! Celica is thrown away to safety before performing the attack! And why the hell is the Lambda thread closed?
  21. Oh man, I barely miss it, arriving to Japan on 11th. I wonder if this loketest is going to have any changes to old characters other than Nu. Edit: and yeah, I'm translating that article in a minute. Edit edit: Celica A. Mercury's playstyle A new heroine who leapt through time! Intense combination attacks with Minerva! Drive: Sword Summoner mk.II Summon many swords to attack the opponent from afar. Poke the opponent and look for a way to turn the tide of battle! Lambda vs Nu: Nu 13, who's already playable, and Lambda 11, who is different in many ways. Not only are her moves different, but she also has an aura that Nu doesn't. Moreover, since Nu can no longer switch between the two forms, she's also going to get many new tools in the update. Lambda Distortion Drive (OD Version) - Calamity Sword: unlike Nu, Lambda's gigantic sword homes onto the opponent! Lambda's new move - Exiga Nail: a new special move that quickly summons a huge sword in midair. Nu's new move - j.6D: Nu's getting new moves, as well! By gaining new aerial D attack, she can now build her offense in new ways!
  22. They're just drawing guest art for now.
  23. I reposted it exactly so people who get their game could see the question and answer it without digging through six pages of questions that are already answered.
  24. Would still like to have this cleared up:
  25. I wouldn't be that optimistic. At the very least, your shipment must cross two different borders, then reach your local EMS center, then get into the delivery's hands, and only after all those things, reach you. Considering that AmiAmi probably doesn't manage orders in the dead of the night, I'd expect it take 4 to 5 days. At the very least, I usually get my deliveries on Sunday or Monday.
