  1. He might want to explain himself then. I don't think we are missing anything else about this move that is of importance.
  2. Did he explain why? Any chance catching people pressing buttons requires a hard read. Just average IMO. I guess it could qualify as his longest solo poke which is good for pressure but that doesn't make it Jesus.
  3. Slightly plus on block, combo extender. Slow to start, so without ignis, gimmicky, but is decent on block where you can dash 5b. It's usually best when used to waste time in this regard, not really good for anything else besides a natural frame trap with 5b. And a combo extender, no words there. Not anything special tbh
  4. You can just make a subsection adding which super can be done from which normal. This way it's included but doesn't have to take up too much space, and the new players understand. Just a thought.

  6. To end certain mid screen and corner combos to retain momentum. It isn't an actual oki tool but a setup for oki. To set those two moves up you would usually need to use the bufu so that it becomes significantly harder for them to escape. Among other setups.
  7. liz really needs her meter now just to do damage and get bufu oki. plus diarahan is more trouble than it is worth. after using it, sure she may survive another hit or small combo, but she still suffers from lack of mixup. which means the foe still has to screw up for her to win, a feat that is less likely the higher the player level, and if she does not sustain her momentum via oki. she NEEDS oki. against most characters on the upper end of the spectrum, if she has to play neutral against them more than once or twice, there is more of a chance of the other character winning. ultimately there are just better ways to apply her meter. with a choice between life gaining and death combos...
  8. ugh, celica looks so bland... though the mixup potential is definitely there, and she does seem like she will be fairly easy to pick up. will try.

  10. Damage isn't the only thing that makes a character. However, I too would like to know what makes her look weak. She seems good to me, plenty of setups and tools (good damage is an added bonus). Only thing I see her lacking is a meterless respect tool.

  13. One thing to note about 2.0 is that it is not out yet. There is no need to despair about the game's balance or how your character turned out. At least not yet. You guys don't seriously believe the game will be released with everyone getting nerfed to the sewers right...? There will be changes, nerfs, buffs. Right now we must all wait for the game to come out to resume our bitching about balance in said game. Otherwise it's just pointless bitching, the only thing in the world worse than regular complaining.
  14. New chars are fun. It is interesting to see what new design the devs come up with. Celica gets plenty of hype even though a few people aren't too interested in her design. Same with lambda. They were unexpected and a bit underwhelming from my perspective: more people would like jubei or nine sooner than they would celica and lambda. @balance, I think aksys does a good job with balance. I feel the top and very bottom tiers are usually the problem in every bb game. Before cs2 bb was sort of unorganized. Onward, the balance was noticeable, but the problem existed, among other issues.
  15. But you don't have to respect 2d. You're literally just reacting to it with 2b. Pretty much any and everything else is beaten by zio. Even if he does j2d, the startup is such that you can beat it 100 percent. You must expect it but it's like expecting a red dot to appear in the center or a white screen. As in, see it, press it. Everything else is beaten by zio. I wouldn't say ads hi has the upper hand at all, I think this match is close to even if not Liz favor. His comeback factor... It's Liz, -everyone- can beat her in two good combos.
  16. There are boss characters, yes. Avoid the boss rooms, or play prepared/at your own risk.
  17. We win the zoning war I believe, it's just his cross slash we need to worry about as well as those persona tricks where he sends iza upward and does 5c, giving iza more range. Kind of like how Liz does jc and Thanatos stays in place and can be operated shortly after. But better. Adachi needs to get in. If he can't, Liz has the tools to keep him out and break his persona. Full screen you only really need zio, 2b, and knowing when cross slash is coming. This was all basically mentioned already. If it comes to close range though, I think adachi wins here of only by a little.His jc is insane. Also has a faster jb than us. Same in the ground, his tools have more priority. But it is far from fighting a yu or Mitsuru.
  18. Th Thanks. I would really hate to buy another one though and it doesn't work. However if I cannot find any other solution, this will he the second to last resort. Instant blocking. Keep playing. First block the strings the foe is using, mentally record about two or three that you see more than once and the situation that led up to you blocking these attacks, and have confidence enough to expect the same attack. Pressing 4 at the right moment shouldn't be too hard after that. It would help of you play the character you are trying to block for a bit as well. I think instant blocking is more of a mental thing, though practice is necessary in order to start crawling. You're on the right track. Keep playing and trying it. Ultimately, your instant blocking is completely controlled by the opponent's actions.
  19. I was joking, sir. I wouldn't quit bb even if nine did get basketball infinities (please DONT give this to her, aksys!). Not unless rachel is barred from the game... Then I seriously would quit.

  21. Not sure if this question can be answered here but... Basically, let someone borrow ps3, ps3 corrupted, what do. This game for the life of itself will not download, or it will download itself and freeze once it gets to the character screen. It has only done the latter once. Every other time it will not download or it won't install, and it will say an error occurred during download, with error code 80010038 I believe. I've tried downloading this game for what is officially the tenth time, five minutes ago, and even looked up the error code online. Anyone experienced this or know how to fix it? If it involves formatting or buying a new ps3 I don't even care at this point. Everything is gone anyway. July the way, the p4u I have is the dlc jp version if that helps.
  22. Is anyone using her gold arrows super for combos/oki yet? Seems excellent for this sort of stuff unless the hits prorate to hell. not so much for neutral since kaguya is vulnerable to a lot of stuff among the cast. Also can Marie do solo combos not involving the persona and if so, how much damage can she get from this?
  23. 22c gives relius an instant full screen option. On hit or block it is safe, but it should not be whiffed. Besides protecting ignis, it's primary use is preventing setup characters from setting up, and forcing everyone else to react to yet another option. Relius didn't necessarily need this because he could move ignis around and protect her decently in ex. While ignis is recovering health this is ok as a surprise mixup between this, surprise summon attack, or creating more space. If it hits you can do it again for a safe meaty, using more time to recover ignis. On block whether it be meaty it no he is more or less safe. Ultimately if is a low reward, low/medium risk move. But it is an option that he didn't have before, at least that involved ignis.
  24. Average mostly, 2.5 to 3k without meter, plus corner carry depending in the route taken. Most Enders also give her a summon to work with, or arrows, or a chance for super ender.
  25. My stupid ps3 is being well, stupid and I haven't had a chance to play the game past day 3 Marie. However I've been doing theory craft which I'm sure isn't too far from the real factual data. Marie is supposed to create necessary space to setup a summon. She will do this using her longest pokes sweep, 5b, jb; her anti airs as the situations arises mainly 2b but 5c and 2c can be used as well; as well as good movement which is general movement and using jc to move around as well. Should be noted, she actually has a lot of anti airs, though further testing will dictate the strongest which right now IMO is 2b. Once space is given via combo or the foe can't get in or can't do anything full screen, you can setup. Chocolate has a ton of horizontal movement and not a lot of things can beat it, but be wary of rolls and jump overs. Marie has answers to these. There are certain other things that beat it like koromaru like surf said or another piece of chocolate. On hit or block you can literally do whatever the hell you want. Cloud simply advises against jumps, aiding chocolate tremendously. Can shock, also aids chocolate quite a lot. Great summon Eye sucks or pulls the foe away ever so gently which is a passive effect that is good defensively. Also explodes after 4 seconds which is a bit less useful but still good. The eye absorbs projectiles which basically gives her free setup passes against many cast members trying to disrupt her with projectiles. Weather is passive and deserves it's own strategy. Overall no weather hurts Marie and only gets better once you start using your favorite one/ one best suited for the matchup. Anything after that, I haven't the smallest clue. No one is posting match videos I'm going to go home and Olaf with my ps3 to get persona running again, see of that helps and then I can give more info. I do believe though that Marie is straightforward but there are so many variations to achieve her goals which makes her very diverse.
