Ok, so due to this past week where we had all of one setup, and due to the fact this isn't the first time this has happened, we should probably post up who can bring what in here every week. On the weeks we actually do have people say what they're going to bring, we usually have more than enough setups. Also, we should host an actual tournament sometime guys. I guess we can discuss it this coming Friday.

It's because she's a console character right now. You'd be best off going to the Makoto forum and watching videos in the video thread there, especially the ones on Nicovideo (which I believe the thread you have already been linked to has instructions on watching videos on there). Once BBCS2 comes out in arcades there might be a well known Makoto player or two to spring up, but probably not until then.

I would try, but my ability to give directions is almost non-existent. Unless someone else can post some, my best advice would be to google maps it. Also, my roommate is going somewhere today and won't be back until after midnight, so there won't be the Xbawks setup today.

Georgia Tech's Klaus building, sometime after 7pm. There's usually BB on PS3, GG on PS2, and Super 4 on xbawks.

It's going to be great actually. I'll actually feel like I deserved wins, rather than just feeling as though I guessed right twice.

You only get one distortion-buffed item, so I would assume the command grab wouldn't give you any extra buffed items.

I throw on Pandora Tears to troll when I start playing, and I end up getting annoyed by it after about 3 matches. It's not the song, it's just the fact that it's only like a minute and a half loop of it, so you end up hearing it start up twice per match.

Well, I used to play a bit of Smash, but after Brawl came out, first my disc got scratched from my cousin knocking my Wii over, then I never really replaced it. I got really bored of it only playing at friends' houses, so I had pretty much completely dropped out of the fighting genre (although now I'll attest that Smash is a party game with fighting aesthetics). Then I got into college and it ended up that one of my friends I made during orientation played Street Fighter. We started playing that a bit, then I decided I liked fighting games (after years of thinking I'd only get a few hours out of a 60$ game and that their stories sucked so they weren't worth playing). After that I decided I was going to buy Blazblue, as I liked the music, and I was interested in it during the summer before school anyway, as all the reviewer people said the story was somewhat decent. It was worth paying the 60$ for CT, even if it wasn't limited edition. I'm pretty sure I got more time out of that game than all but two other games I've ever played, not counting MMOs.

My comment about Southern Georgia comes purely from me attending all but one vanilla SF4 tournament back home and placing 4th. That being said, last time I played a good number of games against my roommate in SSFIV, I went 5 wins, 52 losses, and he's placed 4th in local tournaments where he comes from. I'll have my laptop as always Paul. Also, my roommate that I mentioned above is going to bring his xbawks and monitor for SSFIV methinks.

Yea, as long as the person doesn't have a modded controller with a 623C button or something like that, it shouldn't matter much. That being said, beginner mode should be banned. Nobody should be using it if they're at a tournament, but regardless, it should be banned.

I thought macro banning only applied to macros that weren't in the game itself.

That's probably a good idea so the thread doesn't stay horribly derailed.

You should have called over a judge to receive your free game. If anyone moves, it's too late to change stages. There are plenty of reasons to ban stages. TvC had the burning village soft-banned since it's apparently hard for color-blind people to see stuff (although I asked a color-blind friend once if he could see Zero on the stage, and he said he could just fine. He's R/G colorblind too). TvC also had a stage banned because the game had slowdown on it (I think Melty Blood has stages banned for a similar reason). Most of the time though, it's a softban, which basically means change stages if the other person doesn't want to play on it, and it isn't a flat-out ban. I'm for banning the training stage.

South Georgia is a terrible, terrible place. It's also rather free.

They tried giving me 7 buttons without nuts. I'm glad I had noticed before I actually paid for them.

Someone's taking terrible ideas from Blade. Besides, the problem with Litchi isn't her damage, it's the fact that she carries you to the corner, and once you're there, you're forced to block. Making her do less damage in the corner wouldn't make it any less difficult to block 6 mixups in a row that leads to another combo in which you're put in the same situation at the end, now would it?

I thought they just meant no single-entry giant characters like Gold Lightan and PTX.

Why not Storm? She's a fairly noteworthy Marvel character. She's one of the few female Marvel characters my stupid ass can recall, and it will make Mahval 2 fans happy. If X3 Sigma was in the game and played like Sentinel, I'd be hype as hell.
