Iori's sweep. Guy's crouching strong. There's plenty of crouching normals out there that many not necessarily look like anti airs, but the hitboxes' positioning shield you from what's approaching. And in a lot of cases, even if you don't get much damage off of, say, a 2P, it's a much better option than having something trade to their advantage or possibly having your other anti air beat out. As with everything else, something consistent and reliable is better than something that may net you some damage but may get you killed.

EX: A saifa combos from lights, reflects, fast, anti airs, does everything cr.B cr.A shinsho DAMAGE Shinsho in general is great great fireballs and air fireballs (you can do raiohkens anywhere now) Still has fast super fireball, command throw, etc Normal Yuri has that dash punch which is great with the cancelable sweep. If Ky's damage output really bothers you, learn the 2D > stun edge FRC combos and do 180-240 every time. Granted, they're hard, they're character specific and so on, but same goes for a lot of the other characters' big damage combos.

Some of your concerns also may be due to playing in lag. I mean, Greed Sever in XBL #R was so ridiculously Stacked Potato Chips that I really didn't need another move. Or even combos.

this. It's a fine move to use in strings and combos. Pushes you forward, frame advantage, cancels to (FRC'd) specials. Now, since your friend is conditioned into expecting that in your strings, just don't do it where you normally would and punish the dp.

Good thread. I lose to 6k a lot. Something to add: 5D: on block can be punished with his BBU, however if you space it further out he'll whiff. If he has 50% though lol it's that TIME My advice would be to keep moving midscreen until you can safely pressure him, and avoid risks completely since a couple of punishes will be the round.
