No problem, this is a match-up thread, there are no stupid questions, not even: "does this move do damage?", because as I have found out, certain moves that have been used against me do not do damage, like Hakumen's 5D counter. You can't expect to know little details about characters you don't use unless you experience them first hand, or have people tell you about them.
  6. Any of Tager's normals will destroy Noel's CR, However if you are caught in the middle of a CR blockstring(lol), don't 6A, I imagine the start-up would be too long to hit her out of drive. As for the projectile question, the moves that sledge counts as a projectile will always be projectiles, no matter what move you are using, if it has projectile invuln.
  7. Nah, there is no move that beats sledge that has invuln, but you are part right. Noel's 6D is a low kick that beats sledge, d.6B is an overhead stomp, beats sledge, Assault Through is her drive crossup, it would beat sledge but it usually wont connect if she does it through a sledge, lastly she has Spring Raid, her backflip kick, that beats sledge too.
  8. lol nah, its ok, I suck too, and by the off chance that I am better than you, I can at least give you Noel matchup advice and experience, I'm not too bad at helping people get better(better than me at least lol).

  10. Its airtight in a certain situation. he used "airtight" meaning there is no holes between d.6C > d.5B in the given situation. Not "airtight" as in "this will work every single time you use it no matter what". The english language is funny like that.

Noel pretty much caps out at 5997 on Tager (At least practical combos, I'm not counting the 100 heat fatal combo, since you can't get that in a real match) Heres a strong one, its easier if you do it on Jin, but it's possible on any character that can be haida'd: Corner: 3C > 22BC > 6C > 22B > 22BC > 66C > 4D > 236D > 6C > 22B > 22BC > 66C > 5D > d.6B > d.5B > d.5C > j.D > d.6D > 236D > 632146D This should net you into the high 5k range, probably around 5.9k

  12. I swear if they take out the Haida loop I'm just gonna quit this game, but troll with Makoto occasionally. Normally when I think stiffness I think recovery, this actually makes me believe they are taking out the haida loop.
  13. Honestly I don't think I would even mind CS Noel, if I didn't have to worry about guard break. I used to think blocking was fun, then BBCS comes along and says "fuck your skill bitch, meet Bang".

  15. Assuming this was directed at me. In CT, I would have people constantly try to throw me out of CR, so to counter that I would spring raid. There was really no other reason to use spring raid from what I can remember. But yeah I know CR sucks, thats why I hate CS Noel for making me use it so often.
  16. Derp, I forgot about those. Without spring raid's invuln from the first game its only really useful for guard break. I miss baiting CR punishes with Spring Raid. Then getting punished if they weren't trying to punish. Good times...

  18. What? the whole reason she sucks is that she is "Fundamentally" Bad, her pokes get stuffed by everything, and the only thing she can rely on is her terribly unsafe Drive moves. If you know your opponent well you can 5D through his shit, but if they blocked the 5D, then Noel starts shitting herself. Her 6B is a terrible overhead because its easy to spot and is predictable, since it can only gatling from 5A, 6A, 5B, and 2A, and she doesn't give her opponent a reason to block high for the rest of her blockstrings because the threat of the 2D overhead is gone. Funny thing about that, even though 2D has been nerfed I still see alot of people bitching about it.

  20. I'm glad there are still some people taking her seriously, I'm disappointed you guys are only on PSN though. I have a question about the chain revolver Oki, or rather, the combo off of d.6B, The combo I'm doing now seems to only barely break 2k, and I find it the hardest one to link properly, I'm pretty sure its the one from Dragontamer's video, I'm wondering if there are any other combo options off of d.6B.

  22. It doesn't beat it straight out, it only beats the ones that it can hit, because Asteroid Vision never had any invuln, so you can beat it out with Jesus Kick too, but you were only beating out AV A, I didn't try AVB or AVC.

  24. If you play Tager and are losing to Noel, you need to stop playing. Noel can't do much damage from the air, so mashing 360/720 during blockstrings will usually do the trick against Noel. When Noel is not on the offensive but close, she wants out, her backdash is trash, 5D will beat it for a free combo, along with 2C or hell even 5A beats her backdash if she's close enough. ATOMIC COLLIDER!!! seriously, Noel is so afraid of 360/720 she will be jumping 2/3 times(especially if the player thinks your a grab mashing scrub). But if you AC one of the few times she's not in the air, you will get a nice beefy combo for your troubles. Be careful when you apply pressure, if you like to 236B after 5D, a good Noel(or a really scrubby one) can 5D through it, and maybe after 6A 236B as well if they IB the 6A, haven't tested this yet though. After gadget finger, Noel is your bitch. Either 360/720 or AC if she has no heat or bursts, if she does, just throw blocking into the Rock-Paper-Scissors game, 5A is a safe option if you just wanna keep them shitting themselves, only a 4D can beat this, but if your not mashing 5A it wont even be a fatal counter, and Noel can't really combo off of a 4D without Fatal. If she's far away, she's waiting for you to screw up, she may throw out some Optic Barrels to bait a sledge, with the right spacing she can punish a sledge with CH 5B into a haida loop, so sledge with care.
