Heck, we can even jump cancel 5C on block into j.4D crossup to fuck with the opponent's mind even further. I can't help but salivate about the options 5C will give us. 5C>6B is just delicious.

Obviously coming from someone who doesn't play Noel. Crappy ass normals, bottom tier, good damage but unsafe as hell and easy to react to starters. It takes far more skill to play a good Noel than it does to play a good Bang, Ragna, Litchi or whatever.

CS is the first fighter i really got into even though i was born with a controller in my hands. Switched to a stick afterwards though Took me about a week to learn most of Noel's BnBs, a full month for Haida loop, a lifetime to play at a competitive level

We already know that 6A hits crouching, that's a big plus IMO. Just give her disjointed hitboxes and i'm uncorking champagne bottles. Oh and nerfing damage but giving her longer combos to make up for it is in no way a bad thing. Quite the contrary, actually. Longer combos also means more heat, thus more damage, CA to get out of pressure, and RC to put on pressure and prolong combos.

Her overall damage WAS decreased, but her longer combos in CS made up for that loss. Take the basic aerial combo, it does far more damage in CT than it does in CS.

True, but silly players still got hit by it quite often. Especially when you conditioned them to block high with 4 overheads per round. THAT is funny. Oh btw Bolverk, i don't know if you read all the changes but Noel's overall damage was reduced, which is why we're intrigued by the fact that mashing midscreen leads to 4k damage. Especially with d.5C JC-ability gone. Normals buffs is all i needed, really. We were already resigned not to misuse drive and 3C against goods players so at this point as long as our normals get buffed, i don't fucking care about any other change.

d.5D was never jump cancellable to begin with so d.5C losing its jump cancellability would make more sense. Most likely, there was a typing error so don't get your hopes up. And considering the changes, 4.2k midscreen is intriguing indeed, especially since her overall damage was reduced.

It isn't really strict but the thing is, you have to catch your opponent with 66C while he is pretty high for it to connect, Noel's shoulders or above, or else it will miss. I find it relatively easy to do it on characters with long horizontal hitboxes such as Rachel, Bang, Jin, Tager and Arakune but it's much more chalenging to link it on Ragna, and i'm not even thinking about Tsubaki or Hazama. In the end it's very spacing dependant. That's the main reason i use haida more often than this combo, even though i find it classier and more damaging than a non-optimal haida loop, as it's much easier to find the right distance to haida loop. Also, you idea seems pretty interesting but i already find it hard enough to haida loop, 662b is just too difficult for me, especially since you have to dash the dight distance or you will be too close for 22B to connect on certain characters. When that happens, i guess 6C throw cancel would do the trick to gain distance but then again proration...

22b 6D combos are going to be so hot. They already are but no haida loop makes it the best way to get damage off 3C midscreen in CS2, and it's going to be easier to do with 22c bouncing higher. Let's just hope 22B nerfs don't make that brilliant combo useless.

Hazama and Tsubaki can be CT haida looped once or twice but that's it.

You also have to catch them pretty low with the firt 66C or else the opponent will be able to tech before d.6C connects -

CH 5D > d.6C > d.6D > d.2D > 623D > 66C > j.D > d.5D > d.5C > d.6B > Bloom nets you between 4.2k and 4.4k damage midscreen depending on the number of times d.6C hits. In the corner make that 5.1k+ with fenrir, at the very least. Stable as can be and fairly easy 623D 66c link. Also you might want to check Mizzet's sign for some more damaging universal, non haida loop reliant and resetable options on 4D FC. Also, if you do double Fenrir or Fenrir > Bullet Storm at the end of a relatively long combo, most of the time the opponent can tech mid distortion so beware. -

Goodbye to 5c kara throw with Noel. We've still got 5D BC but now that it's been slowed down i'm curious to know if it still works. And bloody hell i'm not fine with that. 5C was her only half decent poke and now that it doesn't move forward in a way it lost some range, and Noel has an atrocious lack of range. Now if only they put disjointed hitboxes on it, then fine.

We know that pain too well, don't we? That put aside, they're really going all out on nerfing Makoto, she doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.

Damage output is NOT a sound argument for tier list ranking. Take Noel, her average BnB does something like 3.5k. In the corner she can rape you silly for 6k meterless, effortlessly. That alone would make her top tier. And what of it? She's Rachel-tier.

Even if you only manage to do 3 reps it still does something like 4.6k or 4.8k damage so i think it's worth the shot. Plus it's almost a garanteed corner fenrir and the combo itself builds the heat needed.

Don't let your opponent gadget finger you and you'll be fine. Easier said than done i know but it IS possible. OB for trolling purpose only. No seriously if you ever get into a GF situation, all you can do is said above really. OR, you can also 4D FC the fuck out of him if he mashes that 5A. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, never works offline.

Actually you CAN tech out of supers. Dunno about MTW but for instance both of Noel's DD can be tech'd mid-super if the combo is long enough.

Chances are you won't FC 4D someone crouching very often. IIRC crouching attacks stuff 4D clean.

Just wait until they give Noel disjointed hitboxes again, unless they've already done it.
