How so? I've never played CT and i never play unlimited Noel so i wouldn't know.

It's more like whenever i win they don't say anything because they know Noel is like the second or third worst character in the game. Bragging rights mate. I do spam drive a bit, especially online, but there's a fair amount of overheads and throws in my playstyle so i don't get the "omg u only won cus of her cheap drive" treatment. Plus, i'm on PSN, that helps, a lot.

Well, if people were complaining about drive mashing in CT, of course they would be complaining about that very same thing in CS considering all ASW did was boost her drives. Not a very smart thing to do. They have the chance to make a balanced character out of her if only they gave her good abare (and normals), so let's hope they get it right this time around.

Dunno. I don't really know whether the seal was a part of Bolverk or Bolverk itself. If it's the latter then it's probably gone.

They should just remake the character altogether, like a mix between the current mu and noel. Story wise, it's the most natural thing actually.

I'm so not getting a good feeling about those changes... No more 623d 66c midscreen hurts, a lot, especially since Haida Loop is gone. Bloom Trigger sliding... no more 5k+ corner combos? i can kind of imagine being able to relaunch with 2b>Fenrir but still, let's hope Arcsys doesn't fuck up this character. I really don't want to change mains but too much BS is too much BS.

I need a pointer. Is it possible at all to get a CH with 5D on a sledge? I mean, i get through it pretty easily but somehow i NEVER get a CH. Now i just 5b CH it and haida loop tagers instead.

This is going nowhere. All you can do with Noel is just not to let tager in, period. Pull it off, and you won't have to say "hello mr blue sky, going so soon? why am i in front of mr hard concrete? *splash* ouch". Easier said than done, i know, but really, what else can you do? I can almost hear scrubbs spinning that stick to make you eat some concrete.

Uhhh, it doesn't add up. And seriously Valkenhayn and his freaking long active frame moves is bloody annoying. Either the Valk player is crap when i do win or i get countered all day and outpoked (which occurs against every other character in the cast, gotta admit it) And for God's (in other words, my) sake, couldn't you edit your first message instead of triple posting? Sorry if i'm annoying but this is a thing that ticks me off. And BTW, online play is absolutely NOT representative of how people play offline. Believe me, offline it's much more 6.5/3.5 in Hakumen's favor, especially since Noel's drives are so bloody easy to counter into half your life vanishing in the blink of an eye.

Meh, since most of the guys i play online utterly suck i don't use 6A that often. Maybe i should use it more often, just in case. What combos after a AA 6A?

I still think it's much easier to do the 623D 66C link than Haida looping online. Once you've got the timing down you won't miss very often.

All you can do is practice until you get the timing down really. I wouldn't rely on whether i see Noel or not since your opponent is launched at different heights depending on the pre-Spring Raid drive moves you used. For instance, 6D d.2D 623D sends your opponent lower than 6C(air hit) 5D d.2D 623D. The timing is pretty much the same but you won't be able to rely on your eyes to get the timing down.

I haven't said i'm an advanced player but oh well, it's not like i lose to mashers anyway. My point is, there's no need to use frame traps, tick throws, resets and stuff like that against mashers, especially with Noel. Even a noob knows how to mash IDs. God knows why positioning and safety is an advanced tactic, zoning and punishing is pretty much the first thing you learn to do in SF.

Yup, no need to use advanced stuff against a weak scrub. I won't say to lower your level to your opponent's but that's the idea.

Strange, i'm pretty sure it was airtight if you buffer d.5B even if d.6C is IB'd. Are you sure there wasn't a little gap between the two? That would be the only possible issue. I've never even eaten a 2D from hakumen with this blockstring

Oh this is like a beta or even an alpha version then, thank god... More importantly, i hope they won't change 22b and c mechanics too much. I kind of like the current Haida loop (especially since i spent like an entire month to bloody learn it).
