Another thing is that, to my knowledge, the only big name player sticking with Izayoi atm is Koichi. And he probably is concentrating more on +R and P4 since he already has a gold ticket for P4 and is a long time GG player. As far as Tager, he likely didn't have to deal with the super hard matchups in the gold quals he won. Though I'm sure he isn't awful like in some other games.

Not too bad on the character variety front. Hopefully we get a player for the last 3 in there.

2 Anjis in now. Really happy to see that after a no Anji SBO. Wonder who this Hawk Anji is, don't know if I've seen him.

Most of his 'mixup' is more likely to be throw or 6b/j.2b basically. Or frame traps to make them respect you and then going into a 6d or 236d off a blockstring. If he had good mixup options I doubt he'd be considered bottom tier even at a cursory glance now that people are finding actual damage. It seems much more of his gameplan is finding ways to slip in 6d in order to get to level 3 and then you don't have to care if your opponent can block. I suppose you could use a normal>fab hop against people mashing 2a or like Haku's 3c though.

Ah I see. Looked weird to me in the cancel box but wasn't sure exactly what that meant. So many S starters. Seems crazy lol. Looks like his best regular starter is 5c. Should be great for catching jumpers. Does look like the key to good damage is getting as many C normals in as possible with maybe a ground 236c and then ending with 623c. Pretty obvious from videos though.

His grabs have a 60 p2 on the second hit though. Not sure off the top of my head if we can cancel after first hit with something to avoid that though.

Crossups and being having the ability to j.2b or 6b and get good damage if they try a grab tech. I know people will say you can tech the throws on reaction but I just don't see it enough.

Do we know how CT/OD affect combo time? I remember them saying you'd be able to extend it with such things in that interview. Also, iirc 6c is his best starter damage wise. The proration info was linked earlier in the thread but last time I checked it had become private and I don't think anyone had copied it down.

Hell ya, Tsujikawa bringing the Justice. Also saw another Kanji get into P4 it looked like (PET I think). Good stuff. Still sad BOB took out AGF during one of the qual tournies apparently, hopefully AGF comes back somewhere and we get an Anji.

I think the Azrael matchup would be a great place for the j.236c RC>land 6d tech in order to level the drill since it's not drill pressure that is the problem but drill oki.

People are already extremely wary about using meter on anything since 50 meter is used for any defensive measure pretty much. We don't even see CT used. I think for the most part I'd rather take the damage hit and go for a drill oki setup than blow 50 meter for the level 3. Though now I'm wondering how long his CT is untechable for and if you can setup drills from that. EDIT: I can see it having uses for matches against characters with few reversal options that you can really drive level 3 into though.

I don't think anything hits directly above his head or behind him outside of 6b accidents. 6a would be it and that hits a bit in front of his head.
