Also shows a full damage route for 6a anti-air that leads into 3.3k midscreen non-ch meterless. Had 6c2>2d lvl 3> j.6d lvl 3 for 5.2k also. Probably could have followed that up with 236a/b for more. His neutral is pretty meh though.

Manakan is the next one on my to watch for list but he's still learning actual Amane stuff.

Obviously new to Amane but I like his defense and neutral game. He'll probably be somebody to watch once he gets Amane-specific stuff down. Doesn't help he's fighting Miya, one of the more successful Jins. I'm also liking the use of j.2b midcombo to get more damage while still getting the 5b>drill oki ender.

Probably current highest Dan for character. Goro might have dropped to 14 when Errol checked. @ctrlalt: no clue. Doesn't seem to be a hard cap yet. Fairly sure any of the tier lists aren't based on Dans. Most of it appears to be opinions/discussion among the jbbs people. There's a char rank and what looks like a matchup chart thread on the BB jbbs. Unfortunately google translate isn't good for much besides seeing how many tiers a list has lol.

He was A-tier early into EX's lifespan iirc. That grappler syndrome. @Fluck: His CT seems ok, it's more that nobody wants to use meter on it because you need that for defense imo. His CH/throw mixup game will also probably be really good thanks to insta j.2b and 6b. He's also got the mindgame of just slapping out a 6d sometimes and then it doesn't matter if you block lol.

Truthbomb. On a real note, Amane seems to have huge problems escaping pressure. He also has rather ass damage overall without lvl3 and even worse damage at many areas inside his C normals' reach. I do think he's still very underdeveloped but given that the tier lists on the bbs have everything some lists from SS-D tiers while others are S-A or A-C I'm not worried about him. He seems to do fine in tournies given is lack of popularity and star players. (Shadow and Spinking being the only biggish names and Spinking had to learn BB from scratch iirc.)

Just from watching matches it seems like everyone can compete regardless of tier list so not gonna worry too much about it. Well, outside of Izayoi anyway.

Ya he also had another nice combo in there somewhere later. Really good Amane that I haven't seen before. Ora had some good shit in the first tournament video of that set. Corner combo off 3c starter into 3.4k that looked super stylish. And apparently 6b has a hitbox on the back.

How big are the tournies supposed to be? Like 128man qualified? Also does the site mention anything about streaming possibilities yet? Still kind of surprised it's all singles given the seeming popularity of team tournies in Japan. Hopefully it will be available to be watched by NA. Good luck with the quals!

My first suspicion would be the Dust starter.

By legit I just mean somebody using OD for a full combo. I agree that there is probably a more efficient option off CH 2c. @Numero: I believe that they can burst as soon as you come out of OD.

There was a RC before the OD in the first combo. Also, that looked hella nice. Think that was really the first legit Tager OD combo I've seen.

Would kind of make sense since he was also labeled as Raimuki often. But that might be just me wanting an OG Anji hero back lol.

A quickie video of various combos. About 6-7 new combo routes off various stuff all leading to ~3k. So far it looks like as long as we can use our C moves we can get good damage. Would be funny if you could do FC 6c>j.c whiff>low j.2c or j.b like the old Tager combos from CS1(I think).

I've seen somebody do a simple j.236c off corner air throw so far. I imagine you could also do fab hop backwards>j.c>j.6c>etc.

The west coast online BB scene has always been kind of lacking. I'm sure Zeth remembers the WC Danisen league's number troubles sometimes lol. I've always just attributed this to West Coast having many of its players concentrated in areas with offline scenes so online play becomes much less appealing since you don't require it for practice.
