The New England Thread: Bears Warbling Outside My Igloo: A Polarizing Dilemma
Vyers replied to Zoob's topic in East Coast
Alright so between the general safety of street parking, and the parking garage address Nazgul posted, driving down shouldn't be a problem. To the people I'm bringing to Mindgam3's place: I'll probably pick up Katz/Katz friend around 5 or 5:30, Tales 45 minutes after that, Rainbow Mash an hour or so after Tales. If I finish errands and homework early I'll call people. @ Mindgam3: I can bring my monitor, PS2, and PS3, but I can't hook up my PS2 to my monitor and Sony of America hates GG, so it'll be like 2 half setups. -

Gentov wanted to discuss how to go about getting into NYC. Since I havn't been there before I ask everyone who's been to NYC before: is there a parking garage anywhere near Next Level? Is street parking by Next Level safe? How late do the buses and subway and commuter rail run? What is the safest/ most efficient/ cheapest way to get in and out of NYC? -

Jeremy, to you I extend my most gracious thanks. It turns out that Genstov has work till 10pm Friday and can't come, at least not the night before. He might be on time to meet up Saturday morning depending on when you want to head out. He reports above average chances of Nazgul entering the Madness. On another note, in order for your car to play music off a memory stick does it require a specific program/file type/folder organization? Tales+Katz: I'll call you guys Friday when I'm ready to roll out; Katz, you can probably expect me around 4-5pm; Tales, 30 minutes later. I recommend you pack sleeping supplies. This means out of everyone who responded we have a consensus on the primary deciding factor for team placement, now we just have to decide how to break the ties. @blueNINE: thanks for the vid links. I'll (finally be able to) check them out tonight. completely off topic: Wreck-It Ralph is the pg equivalent to Scott Pilgrim. sweet sweet nostalgia -

Okay, I thought you meant to use total games won when we talked last week. Tales, do you mean games won (2/3 rounds) or matches won (3/5 games)? I would prefer to choose using total matches won For tie breakers, blueNINE prefers to use total games won, I'd prefer to do a tie breaker game if we have the time and fall back on total games won if we don't. I'm going to continue keeping track of both for now. Anyone else have thoughts? Katz? Mindgam3? Rainbow Mash? Genstov? Noisetank? . . . edit: Mindgam3 your PM box is full. -

Mindgam3 How would you feel about having everyone going to Guilty Madness meet up at your place Friday night? I figure I/Katz/Tales should be able to come, and if Noisetank/Genstove were able to as well we could finish most of the round robin for the team. Would you have room for 5 plus people/ be willing to host us? Also Rainbow Mash says she can come, but needs a ride. I'll ask Genstove/ Max if they can pick her up. If not, I want to figure out another way (maybe cram 5 people in your car again, maybe bring my own). -

GGs to everyone at blueNINE's last night. blueNINE had a suggestion for the team NE GG round robin that we tally the total# of games won/lost as opposed to matches. (example: win 3 games lose 2 games in match A + win 1 lose 3 in Match B = 4 wins 5 losses. 4-5 = -1 wins total) In the event of a tie breaker the player with more total Matches won gets the spot. (each match is FT3/ best 3 out of 5). I want to put it this to a vote because A) this method is more complicated and B) You should all have a say in which method you think is more fair/ a better determinate of who should get the spot (better games won/lost track record or better Matches won track record). edit: Vote by post -

Johnny rocking me with newbTempkin My random as fuck counter hit air to air j.h vs blueNINE that lead into 80% damage -

So I'm pretty tired today. I think I'm going to take a nap after school and show up at X9 at 6 or so. Katz I can pick you up around 5:30. -

Yes neither http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dS-8Yigx7x0 Streets of Rage 3 was fun. We should do snes Zombies Ate My Neighboors sometime. And we should do a Ninja Gaiden 1/2/3 team run. I hear Seth is still working on his batter. I kind of rushed the process, If you folks really want me too I can take 20 on my craft milkshake roll next time to ensure an authentically thick chocolate death. -

Wow someone hates caffeine. Also did you study: が、ざ、だ、ば、ぱ、っ? Nu, Uhh. Its ok. I enslaved a couple of the neighborhood children to fix it up. After their work I didn't have to go very far to dump the bodies. I just brought them to the cemetery next door and forced them to dig their own graves. They were already decked out like zombies anyway. On a serious note how adverse are people to poetry? I'm writing one about how masculinity makes men's expression of emotions other than anger unacceptable behavior for a Gender Studies project. I have to orate it in front of a group, and get feed back from them. Would people be willing to give me a listen and fill out a very short survey/ response sheet? Or would this be too annoyingly scholastic/ unmanly/ etc? -

I'm glad it seems fair. I want to try to give everyone who's interested a shot, hopefully we have time to RR players that can't make it to casuals. As for NE attendees: Mindgam3 blueNINE Tales Katz Noisetank Genstov Vyers Possible Maybes: Nuclear Cheese Light_Nazgul Dave Chen Rainbow Mash Stryfe Could be more people I'm forgetting edit: judging by Jais' and Frank The Tank's votes and Mr.Mortified's post we might see some players from outside the Northeast. -

I will if we can play regular mode too. I brought Outlaw Star back with me. We must watch it. Forgot to grab my new 360 converter, might have to borrow someone's for guilty madness. Tempting as deep fried candy is, I will have to decline due to prior Iron Kingdoms commitments. -

Vyer's is impressed. You have a great voice Danny! The ending for the video was pretty dark. Do you happen to have a set of lyrics posted somewhere (I always have trouble making out the words in songs) I second this Lord Pwnge. Mouretsu Pirates ftw Vyers is using Sandy to keep school away long enough to finish his Sociology of American Culture paper.
