  1. Hmm Ill Will playing GG again. Havn't played him since TGA
  2. A large part of that was Japanese classes destroying my free time. Now that I've changed to Soc I'm able to get out and play games again. Right. Got to keep up with my work/sleep so I'm not losing time after school Wednesdays.
  3. Yo, I was thinking of doing a round robin to determine team NE spots either at Next Level, or partly at casuals partly at Next level (for players who can't make it to casuals). If Why is up for it this week, we will most likely have casuals this Saturday. I'll be going home for the weekend though (for my brother's birthday) When I come back I'd be up for getting some games in, but I can't have visitors at my room so we'd have to do it at X9/etc
  4. Awesome! How are they doing? Did you get to listen to the songs Andy's been working on? edit: By Dave do you mean Dave Chen the Johnny/ Potemkin player?
  5. Thanks! Good to know the "oh shit I'm air dashing straight into that AA" emergency option, still works.
  6. Gross? But you can actually use 0-frame throw as a defensive option. I hope you can make it. If you havn't heard, we are doing 5v5 regional teams (we might be picking representatives round robin style). If you get the chance, can you check how slashback timing feels in general, and if it's still possible to slashback earlier during Air Dash than faultless defense?
  7. Wow. Well if people want to go for just for one day I recommend Saturday. Saturday is always the best day. Internet in my room is magically working again.
  8. Sure thing Biscuits. FT3 $10? Forgot you asked earlier. FT3 $10? 2/3 rounds is fine. In this case do you still want 1 game matches between players or 2/3 games?
  9. So it sounds like we're going to have at least 3 regional teams: MD/VA, NE, and NY/NJ/PA (or NY, NJ/PA). We should discuss format. In the interest of stirring discourse I propose the following: . 5-player teams . A round robin between all teams . Pokemon style matches . Matches between players = 1 game set to 3/5 rounds. What do people think?
  10. Thanks for the link Kona. I guess if 360 is easier for venue setups and for most people I'll spring for a converter. I hope so too. At least we'll have PS2 as a backup. I can bring a PS2/GG if it turns out that way. By the way M.Song, are you thinking of coming? That would be very cool.
  11. Thanks Katz! Have you fought A3 before? He plays Johnny. He's got nice footsies, great execution and reflexes. Best Johnny I've ever played
  12. If you agree then post your support in Guilty Madness thread please. edit: Or you could body Mindgam3, or Noisetank, or blueNINE, or Genstove, or etc. You won't have to win every match to get a spot.
  13. The Japanese PS2 Accent Core port had problematic glitches. The Japanese PS2 Accent Core plus had minor glitches that barely affected things (Robo-Ky missing a link that most players didn't use). I think there is a chance of the new ports having issues. While it's true that the PS3 version would have the same potential problems as the Xbox360 version with glitches, and similar problems with stick/pad compatabillity, I suggest the PS2 version, because it has been the standard for GG since forever, most people that care about playing GG on their own stick/pad have a PS2 stick/pad for this purpose. I would also argue in favor of PS3 over Xbox360, because I think (and I could be wrong here) that PS2 to PS3 converters are easier to come by than PS2 to Xbox360 converters. (Speaking of converters does anyone know of any PS2 to XBOX360 converters with no/negligible lag a la iNPiN). I suppose TVs could be an issue if next level Arcade has no standard definition TVs. FT3 $10
  14. So apparently DaiAndOh wants to run Guilty Madness on XBox 360. Am I alone in preferring PS2?
  15. 360? really? hmmm that will be troublesome. I mean: a) I don't have a 360 stick which means playing on a borrowed unfamiliar stick, and b) As a new port of Accent Core there is a possibility of differences/ glitches. Edit: double elim sounds good though, and mms/ regional beatdowns should more than make up for 3v3 team hype
  16. I would say yes, but this would be unfair to the minors. Because New England thrives on nonsense. . .and suffering. . . suffering is fun right? I forgot to mention that Light_Nazgul automatically gets a spot due to winning the Bacon Maple Sundae qualifier.
  17. Okay, team positions shall be determined by whoever can finish the most Bacon Maple Shakes with extra Bacon. Vomiting brings your tally back to zero. If two or more people consume equal quantities, the winner shall be determined by a round robin clay fighter 63 & 1/3 tournament (All characters except for Earthworm Jim are BANNED). In the event of a tie through double KO the winner shall be determined by who can get furthest in Earth Worm Jim 1 (Genesis). edit: I was thinking of doing it at Guilty Madness, since several people who are/ might be coming can't go to casuals. If you think this would take too long we could do a partial round robin at casuals, record the results and finish the round robin at Guilty Madness.
  18. . . . . . . . . . . . . Stop trolling Jamie Andrew looking back on your first post I have some questions about the tourney: . It's on PS2 Right? (I havn't been to Next Level before; I figured there's a slight chance of them having a cabinet) . Is it single or double elimination? . Any chance of a team tournament?
  19. Ah restaurant work. Yes, they hate to give weekends off. I already posted this in the Guilty Madness thread, but to be sure everyone sees this: Genstov proposed that we do a mini round robin to determine team NE; top 5 get a spot. I second his proposal. Objections? Suggestions? Comments?
  20. Sorry Mash I knew I was missing someone:vbang: Genstov proposed that we do a mini round robin to determine team NE; top 5 get a spot. I second his proposal. Objections? Suggestions? Comments? edit: I retract my earlier statement. I will be up for money matches.
  21. NE GG players you can expect to enter: Mindgam3 blueNINE Tales Katz Noisetank Genstov Vyers Possible Maybes: Nuclear Cheese Light_Nazgul Dave Chen We have more than enough people coming to do NY vs NE 5v5
  22. Shoutouts to Glitch for knowing the truth, and for dealing with my sloppy handwriting. Jeremy: good to finally play a decent set with you after too many months. Katz: your Chipp is growing. Also, Gundam. Tales: Your talks of the silliness of Warhammer are endlessly entertaining Cheese: Thanks for the ride. That was a really fun final set in Guilty. Come to NYC and burn it to the ground like a sequel of the great fires of 1776 and 1835 Why: Hosting. Forgot to help with the cleanup till I noticed you going around cleaning up. Better late than never I guess. Why's mom: C is for cookie and that's good enough for me. Mash: The more who make it to NY the stronger NE's rising force shall be. Seth: [raises sake ochoko] a toast to NSFW facebook. Edit: http://www.jisho.org/ best online Japanese dictionary
  23. Cheese I'd also like to request a ride for Saturday casuals. Let me know when you can make it and I'll wait outside for you this time to avoid landlady complications.
