The New England Thread: Bears Warbling Outside My Igloo: A Polarizing Dilemma
Vyers replied to Zoob's topic in East Coast
That would be pretty awesome. I forget what does your car have for music options? tape-deck? CD player? MP3 Player? Auxiliary audio port? Were you thinking of renting a room/ crashing somewhere for the night or just driving back right after it ends? I can help with driving if you'd like. If Max talked to Genstov he probably brought it up with Asian Dave as well (seeing as they play nearly every monday). I'll give him a call tonight though to be sure. It would be awesome if Nazgul could make it, but its pretty hard for him to escape from work. Yeah Cheese you should come! You are NE's answer to NY hype! Understandable. It's been a while since we've met IRL. Hopefully I'll see you at casuals sometime or at NEC. -

Kona: I wish I could say for sure that I'm going, but I'm not sure I have enough money to pay for the trip after Guilty Madness (If I finish in the money I'll use that). It is a good idea for people who know they're going to start figuring out hotel and carpool plans now. Speaking of Guilty Madness, are you attending Kona? Mindgam3 are you bringing anyone? (If not I'd be interested in carpooling with you/Katz/Tales). Is anyone else interested in going to rep NE? Alzarath how's NY scene been? I havn't seen you folks in a while. Crown: Sorry you're having a terrible time in Kentucky. I wish you luck with your plans to escape. Played some GG with Tales and Katz today due to Iron Kingdoms not happening. Need to work on TK Youzansen stuff. Might pick up A.B.A. as an alt again. -

shoutouts: Kayin/ Rainbow Mash, Good to see you again. Shaking off the rust can be painful, but the more you play the sooner you'll get there. You're tick throw game with Ky is very good, particularly in the corner. Practice using 6p to AA Baiken j.s; if you can get in the habit of using that with along 2h you'll be much harder to approach from the air (2h is your best option against Baiken j.H). Long/mid range you should vary S stun edge and H stun edge more (using S nearly exclusively makes it much easy to deal with). Try sealing your Greed Sever for a while; don't use it in any matches, you'll get more practice using other mixups (j.d crossups, 5d setups, etc), and when you go back to using it, you'll find greed sever connecting more when you use it less. Zoob: Tekken is intriguing partly because it's so different from GG. I'll play it some more. Any thoughts on how Good Bob/Leo are to play/ where they might be tierwise? Crown: Stay with us Tales: I'm definitely interested in checking out that campaign on Tuesday. Katz: You're like the internet's emissary to the outside world Cheese: Thanks for the ride, and for the hydropizza Mindgam3: We should get a team together for Guilty Madness. I wish NY wasn't so scary. -

I'll make a point of using coasters from now on. I clean up after myself, but I'm fine with staying a little latter to help with end of the night clean up. -

Woke up magically feeling better. Guess 14 hours of sleep is a good way to kill the flu. Thanks man! Maybe my Baiken soul killed the flu in my sleep? So being unsick enough to come (unless people are concerned about me making them sick)Cheese I'd like to rerequest my ride. edit: this is of course assuming you still have room. Regarding my address: my landlord is allergic to noise. I can think of 3 ways to approach this. 1) I give you my address and you pick me up, but don't honk or anything. Give me a call and I'll meet you outside in a couple. 2) Katz gives me his address, and I meet you over at his place. 3) You pick me up at the Route 9 diner close to my house (458-11 Russell Street, Hadley, MA 01035 ) Katz and Tales know where it's at -

I was feeling kind of fuzzy yesterday, and woke up this morning with a full blown fever. I don't want to get you guys sick/ want to try to recover quickly, so that means no buttons this afternoon and no casuals for me:sad: -

Oh, that was Brian. The most expensive part about playing Bemani stuff is importing/ custom building those crazy controllers. The Bemani section of Konami does a ton of awesome music games. Beatmania (possibly the first arcade rhythm game), Pop'n Music (my favorite music out of any bemani game, DDR, DancemaniaX, parapara paradise, Guitar Freaks/ Drummania/ Keyboardmania (like guitar hero or rockband, but came out a decade earlier, and has awesome Jrock/Pop music). . . TGA had everything except Keyboardmania. It was good hanging out with you too and I agree: Denny's with the NE fighting game scene is one of the best parts about meetups. On a completely separate note, I'm changing my major from Japanese to Sociology. -

That game would be Beatmania IIDX. If you're interested in rhythm games might I suggest trying Pop'n Music a try? I think so. You're the guy who lead the crossroad puzzle silliness? -

EX shoutouts: Thanks to everyone who donated money and/ or icecream to MILKSHAKES. Sorry for the fake oreos in the latter part of the night:( Why: Thanks for hosting. Eternal Champions was cool to try. Tales: Good Megas, Good games, I havn't figured out if I'm driving to Guilty Madness yet, We'll talk more soon. BMS Katz: lolKatz food. Is it just me or do you know way more about Guilty Gear now than I do? You're turning into another Encyclopedia Guilty Gearica. Mindgam3: Good to see you again. We should have played. Next time less milk shakes more GG. Cheese: What was the name of that Doujin fighter I hadn't seen before running off the lap top? Thanks for paying for Katz' paying for me. Meghan: Been foreverever since I lost saw you. Brian: Nice to reintroduce myself to you:vbang: Zoob: Keep rocking that キュウべい Glitch: Japanese is a like a mean little school girl who constantly laughs at your attempts to comprehend her mores. After wiping away your tears, you turn to flee her doll house only to come crashing nose-first to the tiles, for she saw the opportunity your sleeve covered eyes presented, and deftly tied your laces together with her inwesternly dextrous hands; yes, the hole you thought you could escape through was merely a frame trap she utilized for a marble otg knockdown into Ohohohohoho oki. Seth: Chocolate Death. Someday you will challenge it. When that day comes, stay way from bass. Thanks everyone for being cool to Donnie. He didn't play much, but he had a good time. -

The standard icecream is Oreo, but I'll try my hand at any flavor, and any topping. Except for bacon. Bacon stings the eyes, seals the throat, and leaves Tales wallowing in mapled grease despair. Ingredients of note: . The Meghan special: a shot of Kahlua makes a tasty tipsy turner. . Nazgul's choice: equal parts pistachio and mint chocolate chip. This man consumes both everything on the kitchen table, and everything off it in equal turns. . The Chocolate Death: Chocolate chocolate chip ice cream mixed with hershey's chocolate bars, chocolate syrup, oreos, more chocolate chips, and Jimmies. The horrific concoction of the consistency of Brownie batter which only the Chef himself has ever ventured to try. . Liquid Marshmellow. The Chef's personal favorite topping, mixes with the Gnosis of Oreo Ice cream to form the magical euphoric sweet sweet nectar of which the ambrosia of the gods was but a pale imitation. -

Writing 漢字. Studying Japanese involves the lifelong practice of writing out logographic characters. I (attempt) to Play Elizabeth. I don't have the same time or motivation to learn her that I had back when I learned GG so my progress is very slow. Why said things start around 3pm so I planned to pick up Donnie around 1:00. I can pick you up after I grab him. . . I'd probably get to you around 1:30. . .He's often late though. . . Is your number the same as last spring?
