Lambda, dead robot walki-..err, floating. 6C changes are serious sadface. -
Pray it's trolling. Just...just pray it's trolling. ._.;; Even if she goes Rachel tier I'll still play her, I just love her that much. If this is true it is indeed a wonder why they wouldn't just delete her form the game lol. Useless extra programming. orz

I think 214D will only connect if the 6C is an FC possibly...or is is that only 6C > 5D? I dunno, I've never done 6C > 4D > 214D...still learning this girl.

Although j.2C is techable is a let down, the rest of it sounds pretty damn sweet.

For the love of god please let this be trolling...please oh please... -
If this isn't just trolling and is actually true...well... I will hope for the best, but expect the worst.

I wish we had a dollar for every time someone has asked this. Of course, I too asked this same question not long ago. xD; Anyways, from a few pages back:

4B a good overhead...I lol'd. Technically only half of 4B is an overhead and the second half is not gonna hit at all if your opponent is smart, unless the first hit is a CH of course. Other than that, 4B isn't a good overhead at all unless your opponent doesn't know how to block it correctly. TK crescent is okay, but it's not one of the best overheads in the game at all. germanturkey is right, Mu's melee overheads win over Lambdas by a mile.

But what if it's online? Anyways...I personally don't like that stage, hurts my eyes a bit. I can play on it if I have to though. Soft ban is more than enough. It's just a stage, just don't play on it. Even without a soft ban, I don't think any offline tournament people will say "NO, the gods of random select have spoken, YOU MUST PLAY ON THAT STAGE!" or stupid shit like that. Just ask not to play on it, and don't use random select online. I don't see how it's that big of a deal really.

I sorta agree on that one point. I'm pretty happy about them possibly making TK combos easier. I mean, when doing it in training it's all right, but thats against a character who's not running around all the time and constantly shifting positions. Theres too many tiny things that can fuck up the whole thing and you end up losing out on damage. Like you said, even some the best players drop those combos...and that means something is wrong. I'll also be looking forward to seeing how they make her melee better, if they do. I feel like Lambda has to pretty much abuse TK feints and a lot of really non-threatining pokes. I can totally see that giving a character who zones like Lammy high damaging melee would be cheap as fuck...(see CT Nu) but giving her a little bit more effective pressure tactics than just her somewhat iffy A and B pokes, and her TK's would be useful and nice. Being able to push people back for at little longer would be useful. Oh well, I do agree with ToastCrust. I'm rambling too now. All we can really do is just hope for the best and wait out the last of the loketests. Hopefully we'll get some cool new toys.

I used to have problems with throw combos too. When I used to main Lambda, throw 6A was freaking impossible for me to do, so I'd never combo off of throws...ever. Then one day I was like "Eff that, I'm losing out on damage" and just sat in Training Mode for an hour or so and just kept trying over and over till I figured out what the timing was. Eventually you get a feel for it. Mu's throw > 6A was the same kinda concept. Theres no real way to explain the timing on the dash in words. The only advice on dash cancels is just...practice, repetition. Eventually it becomes second nature.
-
Eh it may have been a typo. I just noted he mentioned using both 5A and 6A to poke out earlier. Either way the point does stand, 5A is the better option. Anyways, yeah...zaeris definitely gives some other options outside of just the basics I mentioned.
-
Yep, I love when this happens. It's pretty lulzy when a tiny laser fires right as he's about to do it, and it cancels the whole thing out. Wasted Spark, advantage Mu lol.

As of now, IB'ing and backdashing/IAD'ing away from midscreen pressure seems to be the way to go, and works against a lot of characters. IB > Gravity between the holes in opponents blockstrings is your best option if you're the in corner. I personally wouldn't mash 6A up close to try and poke out of pressure. Then again I really wouldn't try to mash anything...If you really wanna try and poke out though, 5A is a faster poke...but Gravity is still a better option then trying to poke your way out.

Falling j.C CH > 5C is one of my favorite airdash punishes. n.n But yeah, Rin is right...don't make it habit. I did at one point and got f'd up for it big time heh. Also, I'm not sure if this is everyone, but a few times against Valk with falling j.C I've actually landed the j.C CH but I suppose I must have been positioned very strangely or something, and actually had him land behind me after the air hit. So I'm there doing 5C like an idiot, not realizing it till it's too late, and he techs behind me and I eat damage for it lol. Does this happen with other characters as well? It's only happened to me with Valk so far.

ALOHA CORE!!! Hawaii's air-dashing scene.

Eh well the 3C nerf was kinda universal. A lot of 3Cs are now techable, but I've no clue why they included Mu in the batch that got techable 3Cs. It basically kills a good chunk of her combos. Her new gatling/launcher is now supposedly 2C > 6C, but from what I've read so far it's not helping her much. Mu and Makoto were supposedly pretty much raped in these more recent loketests lol. -
Mu alt color palette art I did cause I needed a new avatar.

Dear lord Vee made that comic even better. I lol'd hard. Also, another vote to somehow get the trollbooth comic dubbed by the official VAs from me. That shit would be more hype than hypedog.

Welp, yep looks like I've been playing this matchup correctly and it really is just about waiting, as I kinda suspected. Perhaps I'll go find some of those suicidal Hakumens Cookie mentioned to enjoy the matchup more lol. I'm not very patient so Hakumen matches feel painfully slow to me. Oh well. xD At least it's not a terribly hard matchup, just a terribly slow one. :3

Hakumen battles bore me. So much turtling. I really don't understand how to fight him to be honest, other than stay away, use projectiles smartly, and once in awhile, I'll sometimes trick him into a tick throw off of a 236A when he tries to D counter expecting a 236B or 236C. Not being able to use Spike Chaser outside of oki against him kinda throws me off, and makes the match even MORE boring. To me it mostly feels like this battle is as slow paced as a staring contest. Just watching, predicting and waiting for the other to make their move and countering appropriately, whenever they eventually do. I suppose it could be because I haven't fought many interesting Hakumens though... I can't say what the matchup at the moment is, but I agree that who has the advantage could vary depending on where you are on the screen... Any tips on this matchup that haven't already been stated would be great, I still don't fully understand how to go about this one. x.x

A friend and I saw a (kinda bad) Taokaka cosplay at a convention back in April and couldn't help but think "WTF is that thing?! It's sorta cute but also sorta creepy..." Asked a another friend who told me it was from a fighting game called Blazblue. Looked it up and enjoyed it a lot, and ended up deciding to play more seriously.
-
It just might mean a lot tighter timing for the followups, but won't ACTUALLY limit our options...I hope...
-
I sure hope not. 2B pickup was just too fun to see it go completely. I'll just be patient for and wait to see with what they come up with, hopefully nothing too drastic or disappointing.
-
Oh, yeah forgot about CHs. Of course I still hold my point, since only one non CH launch option is still pretty lame. I don't like the idea of having to run around, trying to poke people out of attacks while hoping to hear that annoying announcer voice scream "COUNTAH" so I can get off a semi-decent damaging combo. orz Anyways, that right there. Oh yes, j.2C into 6B...I like that, I like that quite a lot. Make it so Arcsys.
