I knew it. Where is the timing tight on landing all 3 hits? Getting 623D as soon as possible after mugen activation?
-
No, but you know my full name and what I look like. :3
-
Oh, Sure. Please sign me up: my name is Audrey Sometimes I go by Kira too, better put both down.
-
frame data is just a placeholder anyway. wiki is certainly for csex.
-
something seems wrong with calling lambda 5c spam after a knockdown 'mashing'...
-
Usually when they get a big and blatant nerfbat, it's because they're at the very top of the game? Of course I don't think S tier this game, D tier next game is great design, personally..
-
from what I've seen on jbbs the consensus is that tsubaki and makoto are dead last.. the only argument is which is worse and if they're bad enough to be in their own tier. Whatever.
-
Tsubaki's 5b has slower start up and went from +1 to -5. ..?
-
Hey, I can't remember, are double Dps dead? like 623c->214a(w)->623c->236a(w)->214d?
-
maybe the j236d-j214d doesn't complete DURING the mugen if you only have 1 bar, thus not giving the 110% bonus.
-
sure seems like it would help a lot if console release dates weren't so slow.. So many people get caught in this limbo between versions of the game, but I guess we can't do anything about that. Feels like there is only a few months of play before you can actually see the loketests for the next version happening in japan.

Well, not really.. Big tournaments tend to have much more visibility.. and as far as money goes, I don't think an entry fee is the point of a tournament. I see $$ as important for just these reasons: 1. Profitable for the organizer to hold the tournament (Can guess that there are more profitable things for EVO to do than BB). 2. Making players want to take part in the tournament, particularly players that people might actually want to watch on a stream (ad revenue) or in person (viewer passes) I dunno. I'm not sold on the idea myself. But we already basically know that dumping money in the pot for the top performers does jack for participation. Trying to think of other ways that $$$ could help.
-
@stick & @cake I agree that the entry fee is insignificant compared to travel costs. in that regard, I don't see it making people come out to play BB, totally agree. Here's a thought though: maybe free entry would get people who are already there to sign up though. Maybe some people will be at the major for other reasons, and if it's free, why not. Granted, to the degree that it gets more entrants, the quality of play would go down as well.. but maybe it'd get more people playing which could possibly lead to something. I guess I also wouldn't be too surprised if there are people that go and watch BB but don't feel quite up to playing when they'll get knocked out quickly..
-
Just a thought.. I wonder if it wouldn't help more to throw money into the pot so that players don't have ot pay an entry fee, than to make it so that the top 1-16 players get more money?
-
well yeah, that's why I said traditional rekka gameplay.. or well, very similar.
-
it's just at a disadvantage, it's still safe. backdash seems to be a common option. I'm sure I don't need to mention how it sucks that it's at such a disadvantage instead of a frame advantage.. mostly doesn't seem to be a safe way to get in with charge.. either you get a hit, or you're at a disadvantage. kinda seems like traditional rekka gameplay, because if you cancel into 214D or 22d, or both, you should be able to be punished because you're at extreme close range.
-
he's not asking about that, he's asking about basic dp whiff. Yeah, it's immediately.
-
there was no diff between charge canceling with 5d or 2d in cs2 either.
-
wow, those tutorials are amazing. Thanks Kiba

that jbbs rank thread was interesting. All talk about Ragna and Tsubaki. Lot of people talking about how she just got weakened too much, a couple people saying Makoto and Tsubaki aren't bad enough to get their own tier, and then someone posting a tier list with a T: Tsubaki tier. Amusing.
-
could be because it'd take far more effort to bring those over..?
-
Down and a button. Some uses of it are kind of gimmicky but also a check on whether your opponent actually knows what they're doing, I guess. Uh, is this game like kof13 in that there are soft and hard knockdowns that you can and can't do special techs from? I don't think so, it would seem like someone could use quick wakeups vs tsubaki trying to charge after a knockdown? Maybe I should play this game again.
-
what's the bread and butter punish combo now that the 2cc->623c loop is gone?
-
Guard breaking just isn't part of our game now, I guess. Unless they're down to 1-2 primers because of burst or CAs..

re: 22c. Wonder if that's because you have less time to charge the 22c, for extra untechable time, than you have for 22b? In cs2, I used 22b for enders mainly because I might have already done 22c and there's repeat proration on them.
