For those of you who play Gear: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AjtI6IrBGlOadGlTWWdJMWE1T2ZmT2trSUhzSkZ5SlE&output=html Yeah yeah it's only been out for two months or so yadayada...it's interesting to see the initial impression the changes have made to the matchups. Chipp went from bottom tier to top 3 based on the chart. Eddie is no longer a god. Zappa is the new Eddie. Dizzy and Johnny jumped up the list as well. Some characters who were already strong got even better like Millia, Venom, and Faust.

I really like Amane's theme. Sounds FAAAABULOOUUUUSSSSSsssssSSSS~ The new characters' themes seem to have a more traditional Blazblue type arrangement. As if they would fit in the previous BB titles. Seeing that they are just now introduced into the series it makes sense to create osts that capture the character's essence. So I wonder if when the console version comes out they will release remixes of their themes with the heavy metal flavor that the returning characters got.

Perhaps he listens to your prayers and is why he doesn't understand ANYTHING about balance.

I'll be there Star. And don't feel pressured to buy food. We can all just go out to eat. In other news: I want to mash buttons so I'm gonna learn HOS.
-
Learn Venom. Heard he is like a more technical version of Jin. :]
-
Can't wait to play the new Hazama. His Overdrive is definitely going to open up new stylish combo opportunities/blockstrings since the chains have max hitstun regardless of length.
-
Chandler are you sure you can dash cancel dead spike on whiff? I've never seen that kind of mechanic in any of arcsys' fighters.
-
I just hope they nerf Ragna's ability to get 22C oki off a 4k combo....shouldn't be getting that much damage and great oki.

I'm making it to both my family's thanksgiving and Star's. Idk why you guys need to stick through and through with ya'lls dinners. Just like your immediate family, it only takes 5mins for both you and your relatives to be sick of each other. Spend some time with your fam. and then head on over to Star's. If you have doubts if it's ok with your family ASK!! don't assume. @Milln: <3

I'll be at fight night.

I'm going to be blunt. It's easy to comfort ourselves by finding excuses for why we lost. But the reality is you lost...and it's not like you were trying to lose so something you thought you did right was wrong. So you lost in a situation you thought you shouldn't have but you did and it's because what you thought was wrong. At the end of the day it wasn't just a terrible performance it was your performance. Meaning it's not an outlier and shouldn't discount it as something you could have easily done better at if it was any other day. If you were trying to begin with and you lost then it's an indicator of your overall ability and should be really taken into account when you are trying to figure out what's wrong with your gameplay. Basically, when you lose you deserved to lose regardless of whether you think so or not. I see the Japanese and that's the mentality they have. Even when they lose to scrubby ass shit they don't treat it as a scrub tactic they analyze it as a strategy that was effective against them and they treat it with the same thought and care as a "high level" tactic in analyzing what they can do against it. It's good to push yourself, but also appreciate where you are at right now. In doing so you are respecting and celebrating all the hard work you have put into getting to the point you are at now and I think that makes a person more content with who they are and gives them a more positive feel to push forward. Rather than a push that is based on "oh i suck i need to get better" kind of mentality that reduces the enjoyment of the learning process and increases frustration.

"I am KLG-TRJN Optic Focus and I approve this message." Also the problem with watching videos is that if you still have a primal understanding of the game your interpretation of what you see in videos will be as well and are more prone to interpreting things incorrectly. Atleast when you play if you press a button and you get hit you will know what you did is exactly wrong. Kind of hard to tell when watching Videos. In conclusion, videos are beneficial but only if you have had a good amount of experience playing the game.

Sorry Milln I was going to go but I ended up working late and felt too tired to make the drive to the boro and play. How many people showed up to play fighting games?

I get off work at 6 tomorrow. I'll be at Khaos Theory for Gear or KOF.

@Chandler: I had the same problems when i tried playing 3rd strike on my computer with a 360 controller. . I think it has to do with old school fighters being in the arcade and the arcade stick only registering up,down, left, right, and the diagonals.Even though I didn't like the dpad i found it to be more consistent because it resembled the arcade stick in terms of all the inputs it registers. The 360 joystick seems to have more angles it covers. So on the arcade stick you would do 236 and on the xbox joystick it could be registered more like 2, 2.5,3,3.5,6 and where 3 is actually located on your joystick is very specific and thus the gap in between 2 to 3 and 3 to 6 is greater so you have to do it faster and more precise. I'd say the best way to test your controller is to use a character with a 3 directional move like johnny's 3HS and start at 2 and test how close to 2 and how far from 6 you can be for it to register as a 3.

I haven't downloaded GG yet but based on arcsys history, BB had shitty netcode when it was released and persona for the 360 did but they both got patched and have great netcoding. I think it's the same with GG. They need to figure out how the networking for the game behaves in the real world and then make modifications to it. Do you guys know if they modified GG to work on HD tv's without lag?

Tis a shame you cannot dp your problems away in real life.
