  1. I know I got after you, but if 866 works for you 100% of the time, do it -- just don't call it an IAD, or you'll look silly.
  2. Could've sworn we established 99 does double jump, not IAD. Wasn't that earlier in this topic? And speaking of things being discussed earlier, that's why I was so infuriated. We definitely talked about IAD buffering and IAD motions already, so why should anyone provide misinformation about it? I'm becoming angry and irritable in my old age. Damn school.
  3. For the love of god, you cannot buffer an IAD. We've been through this. And 866 is /not/ an IAD, it's just a normal airdash. IAD is 956/754.
  4. I was saying it's sort of silly off 5b starter, so yeah -- j.C>5b>5cc makes more sense. I was saying that translating 5b pokes into 5b>5cc probably isn't a good idea.
  5. The thing is, those examples already have cues. If you're running AA 5B, you kind of /expect/ an air hit. Same for max range 5B -- you can't do anything else but 22X (does 236D work there?), so you're probably going to hit 22X or just back off. And, like I said, ground hitconfirms are not magic. You did not just ad hominem me. And you did not just insult my play. That was fucking low. Except, like I said, an entire goddamn high/low game. And you also get less moves before you run out of gatling pressure.
  6. Yes, 5B 5CC prorates less. The problem is that it's not a practical blockstring. 5BB is better, because it leaves more blockstring options open -- and 5b..b is a frametrap, so you're doing a useful string on block. With 5B 5C, you lose the ability to do non-jump high/low strings if your opponent blocks, and 5B 5C isn't that hot itself. It'd be for situations where you /know/ 5B will hit -- but 5B is a spacing normal, so that's not the case most of the time. And even if you're using it for punishes, you have better combo routes off CH than 5B 5CC.
  7. Shrui, I don't think you understand how hitconfirming works.
  8. What's with all this 5B 5CC shit? It's a completely unrealistic situation. 5B>5C is a shit blockstring. It's only good if your opponent is respecting zero percent, because the /only/ thing 5B>5C does is keep someone blocking.
  9. I already checked the frame data and noticed that, which is why I want those tests so badly.
  10. When I was testing frametraps, 2A>2B was airtight unless delayed. You can check yourself and see if you get any different. EDIT: ...Hrm, frame data ain't adding up. I'd actually appreciate if someone else checked this for me. Set Noel mash 1A (tied for quickest 2a), do blockstrings.
  11. Bat, you're delaying the 2B. There's no gap to mash in unless you do. Seriously, try hitting 2A>2B fast as possible. Shit is airtight.
  12. Yeah, no problem. One day I just wanted to see our frametrap options, so I set a Noel to mash 1A and went to town. As you can tell, results were quite nice.
  13. Literally, every normal>delay followup normal. Hell, you can even do 5b>2b as a frametrap if you delay the timing right. There's 5C>6B, also, though people DP that shit all day. Most notable is 5C>6C. Mash = get fatal'd.
  14. You say this like we didn't already have five bajillion frametraps.
  15. Stop doing this 5b 5cc shit. It's not a practical hitconfirm, since it's a pretty goddamn awful blockstring.
  16. 5B nerf is goddamn retarded, and that alone says she's in a precarious position. When shield rush is how I'm being asked to control horizontal space I just want to give a giant FUCK YOU to ArcSys, tbqh. Also, using week one to say how Tsubaki looks competitively is silly. She looked okay at the beginning of CS1, too, but we all know how that turned out.
  17. I want to try to come (and I'm putting back the money to), but I don't know how the fuck I'd get there
  18. I want to win, so every nerf is "stupid." Makes it harder for me, after all.
  19. Brb, changing mains. Retarded changes are retarded.
  20. Yeah, a character that people basically still understand will be>>>>>a character people don't understand on day 1
  21. What in the name of god have you done
  22. Oh lawd, this topic is godlike. Made my fucking day.
  23. Every Tager player is shaking their head at you right now. Every last one.
  24. Just learn to whiff j.214A and then dash. Some people swear by whiffing j.214C, but that's actually a bit less consistent in my experience, even if it is easier.
  25. 3CC combo ender screws up tech timings because it forces you to choose between delayed tech and emergency tech. It's just another oki element. It's not godlike, but it's an option.
