I have a copy, but no one to play without netplay and no PS2 stick. The whole "no PS2 stick" is the real killer, here. I /really/ don't want to play on pad. I should probably get on that... especially since the game I honestly want to play most atm (MBAA) is kind of PS2-onry and FUCK TK FLAMERIBBON ON PADDDDDDD

Are your gimmicks /really/ gimmicks? A gimmick is, plain and simple, a situation that is A) Intended to wtf the other player into submission B) has the same answer every time Magna-Tech RC 360 is a gimmick. TSUBAKI INSTALL into 22D unblockable reset would be a ridiculously gimmicky gimmick (fuck, 22D unblockable is a gimmick). C-Akiha 2BBB (SO AWFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLL) is a gimmick. You get the idea. Being random isn't a gimmick. Being truly random is just playing awfully. What you do should have reasons. -
I figured it would be more to help dispel the OMG GG WILL FRY MY BRAIN mindset than anything else. It's basically saying "You see this game you already play? Some things are going to be harder, but you're already dealing with X level of difficulty/complexity/depth/whatever." Even though I don't play GG, I feel like there are tons of misconceptions about the game floating around scaring people off. This could help deal with that.

Site usership. This is the hub site for GG and BB. As a result, if you're even mildly serious about BB, you're absolutely going to run into somebody talking about GG at some point. Repeated mentions lead to interest. /Theoretically/, the guide would make it easier to capitalize on that interest. Right now, I also need a PS2 stick to capitalize on my interest, but that's a project for later down the road. (Epic mod of my broken SE goooooooo)

It just sounds like it'd be a good idea, and getting more people who're already on the ArcSys bandwagon to learn GG might be more viable since AC seems to have (not immediately user-friendly, but workable) netplay now. And personally, tons of us have heard how GG is supposedly mindblowingly complex. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't -- I wouldn't know myself (I think I've been told how hard GG is has been exaggerated as hell, but idk) -- but I think a guide showing common points between the two games might make GG look less intimidating. = /

Anybody else ever use DP B? The invul is kind of weird, but it actually seems useful to me for some reason. You have to yomi it a bit, because the invul doesn't start until the hit, but it works in places DP A definitely won't.

This is because USING FOLLOWUP NORMALS IN PRESSURE IS BAD 5b: +1 5bb: -13 (!!!) 2b: -1 2bb: -7 (!!!) 5c: -9 (cc that shit) 5cc: -21 (!!!) You get the idea. Followup normals were never meant for pressure use. -

Elaborate. Tons. Dusky ain't seeing it. Maybe I just play Tsu like ass (hey, it's an outright possibility), but her pressure is normally considered infamously bad (a conception helped by so many jp players using few blockstrings that aren't 5aaaaaa/2aaaaaa 5b 5b 22c or some variant, etc.). She also doesn't have the meter gain that Ragna does, so she doesn't get RC easily to cover the more unsafe parts of her mixup and pressure. CC helps a bit, but is often punishable if used predictably. Low return on pretty much any mixup (2b goes into maybe 1.7k without without spending charge or meter, 2.7k with 1 charge and 50 meter, 6A is an awful overhead and gives awful returns too, 6B gives okay returns but is pretty useless in pressure due to its awful range). 214C is pretty much useless. 7 more frames of startup than Dead Spike (fucking 40 frames). Sure, it gives +3, but you'd have to be blind. 214D, though, is 22 frame startup and gives +5 -- but costs charge, which is a frustratingly limited resource in so many matchups. I need charge for damage, and I like to try to keep one charge stocked for D DP (TEN FRAMES OF INVUL OMG). Oh, and I think average damage with charge is more like 3k (since 5b starter is realistically what you'll get most of the time), not 3.5k. -

Yeah, I guess there really isn't tons to say. Just makes me sad sometimes, though, since I'm a million times better with Tsu than pretty much any other character, but still can't win often with that. It's almost like the better you play with Tsu, the worse off you feel. Recently, I tried to give my neutral game a pretty big overhaul, and I definitely feel like I can play neutral better -- but it made me understand so much of why Tsubaki is bad that I didn't "get" before. So many situations, it's just like you're running into a damn wall when you try to give answers. -
