Hence da salt. It was actually deliberate, and although I have reasons for doing so you're right. I'm just very wary of DPs which is why I try to play super safe. I should try to make the most of corner advantage though, especially when Tsubaki has stock. I've actually recently started doing that. What do you punish with? I usually dash in and go for a 2a but if you have something better that's cool. -Trying to think of stuff we can do with that - Nice. Exactly this, which is why I couldn't rely on my normal pressure. It made me near heavily reliant on 236C/D, and even that didn't help me much. If I did 2BB he WOULD have used ID. Even though Ragna only gets 1.3k from it, it's not the damage I'm worried about. It's being put back to square one, blocking all over again. Despite this even when I used 2B and stopped he'd use 2a which then resorts to me blocking again. Maybe I should try something like 2B - 22C/623D - followup :/ He was getting CH 5B because I tried to use 5B as well but as we know Rag's 5B beats Tsubaki's. We play each other too often... What was annoying about it?

UK London Thread - 4 Buttons And It's GGs All Round!

Unfortunately there's not gonna be another LTG for a while. Until September I think. -

If Noel is using drives just IB - DP. If you're using 623A it will most likely trade. Knowing what to do and when to do it completely depends on the behaviour of the Noel player. If Noel uses D.4D then you're pretty much screwed unless you can followup the DP with stock provided. You don't need to outpoke Noel out of D.214D. You can IB and punish with 2A - combo.

UK London Thread - 4 Buttons And It's GGs All Round!
Kiba replied to HexaNoid's topic in Offline Community
Information Ultimate Clash is a tournament monthly event that has SF, MvC3, MK9 and most importantly it has BB! As shown the next event will be held on the 26th June in Harrow. If you're looking for somewhere to compete this is definately the event for you. You will need to take your own stick/pad. Directions You will need to go to Harrow the hill which is accessed by getting on the metropolitan line. From there you will need to take the station exit on the right and make your way out of the station. From there walk straight down to the end of the road where there is a carribean shop called 'Bonners'. Turn left and the venue is right opposite the subway restaurant. Location Yates's 269-271 Station Road, Harrow, HA1 2TB Registration opens at 12:30pm and everything is scheduled to end at 8:30pm although it's subject to change. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me and I'll gladly help whether it regards directions or anything else. Of course this thread is also open up for anytime we can have offline sessions if anyone is nearby So if any of you happen to be in the area speak up! -
Lmao. She needs to hit you from a distance in order to get a combo. If she hits you when she's too close she will not be able to combo from it at all. If she scores a CH with it you will be stunned for quite a while, although I'm not sure what else she can do from a CH 6B since regardless she can hit you with 5C.
-
Yup. Dw, I'll play you with my Platinum whenever I can next time and help to come up with ideas of how to deal with situations. Oh yea, did I mention her 6B is +1 on block...?
-
The hammer removes 2 primers, and upgraded, it will take off 3. This and her 236B are the only moves she has that break primers. They can get a full combo from the frying pan w/o an RC so it's still something to watch out for. Oh and btw, Airk, I upgrade the bat because it's hilarious :3

These are slightly stronger.

Things to watch out for: 5C in high damage combos in the corner Instant overheads 5B 3C 6B 6C fatal gets very big damage especially if in the corner. Her items, all of which are troublesome (will be explained) Bubble oki in corner Swallow moon mixup Command grab Upgraded neko staff Platinum's bombs can help for oki pruposes or even to help her to get in or keep someone out. They are +8 on block and the bombs upgraded serve the same purpose. This is where 236C/D comes in. As the bombs move upwards in an arc it'll allow you to get under it and get in to pressure Platinum. Platinum's missles serve the same purpose as the bombs I think, but upgraded it causes more damage and can get her 6k if in the corner and if the player knows what they are doing. Essentially you'd jump over them but be wary of grabs or any other sneaky thing she attempts to do to you. Platinum's bottle, I just consider it as her 'dp'. She is invulnerable for 1-7f? And it's very easy to mash from IB in pressure, especially against Tsubaki. Upgraded it has a little more range and does a little more damage but this is the item users may be unlikely to upgrade. Platinum's cat staff is there for range purposes but she cannot combo from it. Upgraded it has insane range and if used as a J.D (either) it's an overhead. You need to be careful about the way you approach platinum whilst she has this. Running in may do you no good and using 236x is a risk and can get you butchered. One would try to attempt to get her from the air but you need to be wary about her 2 AAs. Platinum's pan can be used as an instant overhead, and this is where deciding on the blocking stance can be an issue. There isn't an exact way to watch out for it, but you do need to know Platinum's JC normals as it'll give you a general idea of when to block high. There are 6A, 5A and 5C. Upgraded it does a little more damage and I think it has more untechable time. If you can get in on Platinum, applying good mixup and pressure is good as her defensive options are poor (only has DD and bat). I also want to mention you can hit her out of her command grab, but if she's closer to you, you may want to jump out instead since it's less risky. As she lands on the ground from her J.2C I have been told that you can throw her out of anything she tries to do after. (Needs to be confirmed) At the start of a match the best thing to do would be either to try to get in or move away. Alternatively you could use 22A but using anything else can result in Platinum beating you with 5B/3C.

With 1 charge midscreen: JC - 5B - 5CC - 623C - J214A (whiff) - 2CC - 623C - J214 (Whiff) - JC - J236D - J214C - 6C - 236B - 214B - 22C http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1qhq0YrsHU#t=25m37 That's what the beginning looks like anyway, and I forgot the amount of damage. It's not an easy combo to do. If you had another stock you could use 214D after the 6C. A second is: JC - 5B - 5CC - 623C - J214A (whiff) - 214D - 2CC - IAD JCC(delay) - 5B - 2CC - 236B - 214B - 22C I'm pretty sure that combo works because I've seen JP players do it and I remember complaining at the fact I couldn't get a valid hit confirm with it. Another one is : JC - 5B - 5CC - 623C - J214A (whiff) - JC - J236D - J214A - 6C - 236B - 214B - 22C If you're in the corner, after the 2CC it'll usually go : JC - 5B - 5CC - 623C - J214A (whiff) - 2CC (You also don't have to do this) - JC -JCC - J214D - 6C - 236B - 214B - 22C I personally don't usually use 2 stocks of a JC, if I recall correctly, so I'm not sure of some good ones you can use. Another corner combo I found is: JC (has to be a deep jump, if not do 5B-5CC instead and ignore the next two inputs) - dash in 5CC - 2C - 623C - J214A (whiff) - 623C - J236A (Whiff) - J214D - 623C - J214A (whiff) - 2CC - 22C - 5C - 2C - 236B - 214B - 22C I think that was around 4k.

Ginseng Its more like we do more damage than him now, lol. Also the majority of his normals are unsafe. In this matchup tbh I rely more on spacing and getting in with 236C/D. 5B tends to get stuffed or traded with his 5B/5C which is why I avoid it. If the Ragna player is jumping and you can't net 2C, depending on the height of the jump you can either run underneath him if you want to feel safer to get a few more stocks in, or you could jump and grab him. I usually tend to DP him out of any gatling he does which has a gap, like 3C - deadspike, but that's just me taking a big risk. I also throw him out of his overhead but that's on reaction and it's usually just me guessing. You may find yourself in the corner quite often and unless you do something about you're gonna end up staying there for a while and/or you'll eventually get hit.

Online match. This is old. Dixxhead (Hazama) vs Kiba (Tsubaki) This was me on my alternate account when my main account was still down because of PSN.
-
Although this is applicable to all characters I'll specify here to help. Tager players may use 5D - 236B In this case, you can beat the sledge by IB'ing the 5D and retaliating with 5A.
-
If I'm correct, 214D has a head and body attribute. It doesn't cover the foot attribute so that's why Makoto's 3C may go under it. This explains why 236X whiffs too. You can throw Makoto out of 3C, or on reaction 22X works netting you a CH.
-
I have you to thank since I pretty much learnt that stuff from you. Thank you. Also like Eshi said you can Jump cancel 6C if it gets blocked.
-
Something that's gotten me over my saltiness over Noel, well slightly anyway. You can use a meaty 6C Noel on her wakeup and if she attempts to do any of her drives you will get a free FC. This is because Tsubaki's 6C covers the head, body, and foot attribute, and NONE of Noel's drives cover all three, which means no matter which one she does, it's in your favour. You can also use 6A since it covers all three attributes too, but you want that 4.9k midscreen (or 5.1k in the corner). I think that's it, with at least 2 stocks anyway :3

I can help in giving general advice, but I'll see how it goes. If you watch my match against Platinum you can get an idea of how to do things, or what not to do etc. Or even better there are matches with Hakumadoushi and Masashi. Without any meter you need to block a lot unfortunately, unless at times you'd like to go for 6A, but it seems a little situational for this match up because Platinum's normals have good range. It may on really work against her Aerial overheads and her 6B overhead. Remember that Platinum also has a command grab, which unlike Bang and Valkenhayn, she doesn't grab you in one position and runs to you. You can poke her out of it though. The distance usually determines which move is better to use. For example, if she's closer it would be something like 2a whereas if she's further something like 5B/5C. When Platinum has you in the corner and uses the Dream Sally after a knockdown, just neutral tech. She has a legit oki, and anything else you do will result in you getting caught in the bubble which will take you back to square one. You need to be aware of Platinum's JC moves because it'll give you an idea of when she's likely to use an instant overhead, especially the frying pan/fan which can earn her a decent combo. Her JC moves are 5A,6A and 5C. Her JD is only an overhead when she has the frying pan/fan or cat staff equipped. Her 2C or her 6A (both anti airs) can beat your 6C on reaction or your wolf dashes. Therefore, like I was told by Nick, it would be nice to use random wolf dashes to get in and around her. Apart from this, unless she has her bat (1-7f invulnerability) or 50% heat, try to keep the pressure on her. I hope this helps.

Silly me. Thanks man!

LTGxPGC Finals Kiba (Tsubaki) vs Kyzertron (Lambda) Kyzer didn't have CS2 Tsubaki exp btw. Also, I didn't use Tsubaki in Top 4, I used Valk, where I felt I failed on a very high level as I'm not too used to stick (even now). I salt.
