I'm bad. Please give me advice to get better! http://www.twitch.tv/fkudelta/b/471464001

Has there been any discussion about the BB color references anywhere? I can't seem to find any and was wondering about who some of the characters such as Robo-Ky, ABA, and Testament were. And I'm pretty sure Justice's Dust color is Hakumen.

Right, the frame data page stated +4, but the character page said -1. I was just confused as to which one was correct. Thanks.

Azrael in Bullet's hot pants or Hard Gay...? :V

I was able to go with a minimum wage paying job, saved up for 6 months. It's definitely possible for people that already have a job and if you don't have one and money is the only restriction holding you back, get a job :P

Having gone this January, 2 weeks costed about $1.5k~ for the hotel, flight, transportation, and food. Then another $300-500 for arcades and sadlife etc. I plan to go back next year anyways and with this I'd probably go again the year after lol If you're thinking you'd like to go but money is an issue, I assure you it's well worth the effort and is an amazing experience.

Is L2 RI plus on block? The frame data page says +4 but the main page -1. I'm assuming that one just wasn't updated?

Is it possible to get hard knockdown off a corner throw without Install meter? I've tried using throw > dustloop and the dummy doesn't tech the last j.D when timed low to the ground when set to neutral tech.

KR getting FC state isn't too surprising I think. In vanilla he was actually the only character that had a forward momentum special that didn't leave him in FC state (Mitsu Drill, Kuma Bearscrew), but ya this kind of sucks lol I also think Aki having only 2 cards isn't bad either, since this means he'll get his persona back quicker. The only downside I see is being unable to burst more often if you get persona broken.

Indeed it would! And so the meta-game evolves slightly more...lol I actually didn't think about using 5B to call out a charged attack, I'l try using that against Tao as well.
-
6B > 63214C leaves a 1F gap so you can indeed 4D through it! However, she can charge the attack to bait and punish your reversal attempt. The scenario is pretty similar to fighting Tao where you can 4D through most block-strings into 6C, but she can charge the 6C to bait out the 4D. After testing it 4D whiffs mid-screen and hits in the corner as Demon Wind mentioned. But mid-screen if you IB the 2nd hit of 6B, you can 6D!
-
lol no man, the advice you gave was solid. I just didn't want people to misunderstand what a punish was as opposed to using a reversal to beat out an attack.
-
...I think you are getting your terminology mixed up Lith. A punish is when you hit an opponent during their recovery of an attack, whether it be whiffed or blocked. Becuase Mu's 6B is -1 on block and -4 on IB, it is "un-punishable" because there is no attack in the game that is active on the fourth frame but it is still "unsafe". As for dealing with 6B prior to its use, 4D and 6D are both legit options albeit risky because of the required timing that Lith mentioned.
-
Mu's 6B isn't punishable. At most it's unsafe at -4 when you IB it. As for 63214C it's -10 but the push back generally makes it hard to optimally punish or nonpunishable. If you're close enough you can dash 5B but you won't get much off a standing confirm without meter. However if you're very close you can 5A punish, though I can't recall if IB'ing at that range is necessary.

If the format is teams, will 2 of the same character be allowed on a team?

Central Hachiouji 9/4/13 Dango (Noel) vs Sugiyama (Valkenhayn) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsHSA8yQJlk&feature=youtu.be Dango (Noel) vs Mabukabu (Relius) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjU-oioc9AI&feature=youtu.be

Most players don't actually know the matchup well due to a lack of moderately strong Noels. As for random crap hitting as opposed to textbook things...part of Noel's play-style is high risk/high reward so doing unexpected things can work sometimes. But if you say that "textbook" things don't seem to work you're most likely not utilizing them to their full potential.

As an offensive tool? If you're not getting punished for using it, then there's no reason not to use it. However, if you find yourself relying on Drive in places where you should be blocking or respecting the mix-up/pressure you should learn to react accordingly without Drive. It's honestly the crutch that most Noel players rely on and consequently keeps them from learning how to block sufficiently.

Being able to identify where her pressure ends can be helpful. Any time she charge cancels she will almost always be at frame disadvantage so knowing when to press buttons to stop her from continuing pressure is good. The only blockstring that would leave her at frame advantage after charge cancelling would be after a 6C. Tsubaki has good pokes in comparison to Noel, notably 5B. I've heard people mention that her 6A/B startup look similar but I guess it depends, if you have trouble with them use training mode to help distinguish them. Also, pay attention her install gauge. If she catches on to the shift in pressure if she ends her blockstrings with special attacks, she can easily frame trap you by cancelling into any D variant of her special attacks which will at most times make her safe.
