She's not a bad character, she's totally viable. She's just the LEAST viable character in the game. She has unreliable reversals, a really shitty counter-assault/guard cancel, great damage off of damn near any hit-confirms, powerful but risky oki, powerful but extremely risky mix-up. Her Thanatos mix-up (the thing a lot of people consider one of her strong suits) is actually very easily dealt with for characters with good JBs. Her miniscule health pool means you have to be extremely focused for every play in a match, and a single mistake can get you killed. Her resets and tech traps simply take getting used to, the only ones that're consistently viable are C Agi off of 2C and her air unblockable traps. She requires a highly adaptable, fast-thinking player to do well, and even then it's difficult to do well against people who know the match-up. A job is a job, I agree. But I'm not talking about how society regards it, I'm speaking from experience with working fast food. (Wendy's was my first job) You have to deal with the same shit a retail employee does, plus the soul-crushing work of suffering through rush and clean-up. (That weird substance on the fryer filters, wtf?!) There's also the drama that comes with having minimum wage co-workers, depending on who you get to work with. Sometimes you get cool, average people. Sometimes you get the most psycho, ghetto people imaginable.

Nigga I don't need no excuses, I play the worst character in the game. But seriously, I don't understand this mindset. I pour my heart into my fighters because I enjoy playing them, and I especially enjoy playing them well. It wouldn't make any fuckin' sense to me if I didn't. It's not a matter of ego, it's a matter of partaking of the fruits of my labor, it's knowing that my hard work has paid off the only way I can be totally sure - by satisfying my hunger in a tournament. I'm not making excuses. As I said, I'm still confident I'm going to body people next weekend. /srsbsns If someone doesn't mind picking me up and being paid with nothing but gratitude, I'd be down. @Star - He's buckling down on the job hunt, about ready to settle for F Tier fast food joints and studying the hell outta UNI.

That's what I'm sayin', I can't practice at all unless someone decides to pick me up all the way out here for some matches, and I've got no kinda gas money. Not really worried about it though. I'mma still body some peeps.

So my ps3 resurrection was a failure. Defeated the yellow light ghetto style, only for it to warp the casing so badly that it only turns on for three minutes at a time before overheating. I've still got faith that it's salvageable, I just don't have the tools or the know-how. . . Oh well. @UNiB - Every game has some sort of mechanic that alters neutral game in its own way. Under Night's average range is probably weird, but adapting is part of picking up a new fighter, and it makes good spacing that much more crucial. I'd wait until I actually had the game before forming an opinion of the neutral game.

Akihiko is the embodiment of rush-down. Yukiko is pure zoning. Spacing would typically be implied by zoning. Elizabeth is more like a gimmick mix-up rush-down puppet master that grapples and zones. Looking back on that. . . wtf elizabeth, lol Teddie is spot on. I don't know enough about Naoto to say anything.

Chie - Rush down mix up Mitsuru - Rush down poker with anti zoning tools Kanji - Grappler with anti zoning tools Narukami - All-around rushdown with godlike oki Shadow Labrys - Rush down puppet master reliant on cross-ups. Could use a bit more variety, imo.

Tsuntenshi or Setsuna, the Labrys mod. He's the first Labrys I've ever encountered that relied more on Ariadne opening people up with the spike traps rather than flailing wildly with JB. I think the only real flaw in his game was that he respected people in the air too much, because I didn't see him 2B very often. Still the best Labrys I've ever fought. edit; looking back, I'm doing AzurePhoenix no justice. He utilized Labrys's persona effectively too. It's just been awhile since I've seen another Labrys play that smart.

The chanting part was only my assumption. What good is a cultist without chants to back up his perverse beliefs? The only confirmed thing is that he chucks a bucket of blood on you first. Although this is hearsay. I could be entirely wrong. So freaking close to S+ rank. Kept an S rank Yukiko from ranking up, then they stopped me. Then they won a couple matches as I got more and more flustered, before Star sent me dramatic music so I could defend myself from ranking back down to A+. I love the drama it adds when the game lets both of you know who's going to rank up or down.

Ergo, gimmicks. With a solid Liz, it's a really huge risk/reward game that pays off in the form of mitigating her squishy-ness and making her that much more terrifying to face. @Millln: Aww, shucks. Apparently there's a dude murdering families after waking them up in the middle of the night by splashing blood on them and doing chants or something. He's currently at large and has done this throughout several counties.

She's like nothing but gimmicks and crazy risky mix-up. Most of them are rather ineffective unless you're deeper in their head than a pimp whose ho has daddy issues. One of her most efficient ways to use meter is to spend 50 SP as a pause button just to see what your opponent is doing on their wake-up or whenever. And now that I've discovered the ways of bold, I may just start talking like a comic book character.
