  1. That straightens out some of it. You can't do CT combos in CS2, or vice-versa - but I am, right now, having way more fun learning and doing CS2's combos. CT Litchi is just too difficult to do advanced things, especially when you look at easier-to-play characters and see how they dominate the boards, and you're like: "Why am I doing this to myself?" Then I played more CS2. I'm kicking ass, I can't even nail or practice the BnBs for this game. This is still *way* better. I suppose killing her damage or her ability to link certain moves (reachX) would make a lot of people happy. It would also completely gimp her, though. However, isn't it a fact that maximum damage is corner damage? If your character isn't corner raping and maximizing damage output, you are very much at a disadvantage and are going to lose.
  2. Well fuck - we have two opposite opinions in this thread. Who's right? Help me out here. I'm terrible, so I don't know.
  3. Got it from streammonsters - people call CS2 litchi boring and say CT litchi was fun. opinions? Who should I listen to?
  4. The godlike characters in CT sure don't look like Litchi(CTRAEP?), Arakune (instacurse) and Carl (infinites). I guess godlike doesn't mean the same as "Easy to use". Although I would say an easy to use character that's solid is equal to godlike.
  5. CT Litchi was cool, but I don't think she was that sugoi - people still miss her, maybe because there's some illusion of a midscreen game with her instead of just learning corner combos and calling it a character. To be honest CS and CS2 Litchi are much more fluid because, while she lose some neat CT stuff, the staff is way more controllable and she's just faster. I'm having way more fun with it, especially since bursting isn't a death sentence and characters aren't completely bullshit. Maybe CT Litchis just like Hard mode. I dunno. TBH I don't want to look back. CT Litchi is just too much when you could learn Nu or Arakune and get more wins out of it.
  6. Can't knock it until I play it myself. I was worried leading up to CS2 and then I played it - I was more worried for Bang. Oh man - Daisharin nerf + All Green Changes = Come December I'm gonna rock some faces in a single week.
  7. I like and approve. Please give us advance notice, though.
  8. I've also been liking Litchi vs Hakumen as of late.
  9. Thanks - That may not be a great thing - it travels in a different direction depending on how the staff is placed - it it's standing D, it's going to be out much longer...
  10. HAHA they buffed all green and nerfed daisharin I am going to dominate! fo' serious - Looks like some relearning is going to be in order if this is really it. Also - "shishin" not in guides - which is it? Help a newbie out. I don't like hearing YAMETEE~!, so I prefer English Litchi.
  11. 5B NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  12. MSpaint chart doesn't speak "pro" to me... To be honest I'm still not sure what is really going on with this thread. Is this an arguethread? A joke? Is that chart and is this discussion actually serious? I gotta reread this - someone's going to have to explain to us Where everyone actually is and why they are there.
  13. haven't been able to hit up training mode often, but cool, I'll have to try that next time.
  14. My Advice: Learn your character's Anti-Air Strategy. This requires patience and discipline. You need the patience in neutral to see what is going to happen, and the discipline to act ONLY in the appropriate manner. Some characters will have multiple ways of doing it - you'll have to see what's most effective in certain situations. Do you cross under? Do you 2C? Do you 5B? You need to learn individual matchups to know for sure. In general - play the game lots and you'll figure it out. If you DO learn it - you will instantly see improvement. Players cannot approach you as easily, some will stay in neutral, some will begin turtling to try to do the same to you.
  15. Listen carefully and watch Carl. Once you read how they like to use nirvana - you will be psychic and they will be freaked. If you can listen you can make better choices when getting in. Beware off-screen Volante. Try not to let Carl Sandwich you in. Always remember where Nirvana is. Carl hates Reach-B. You might like staffless in this. Staff cover very strong in this match - Carl loses Nirvana's command on block.
  16. The opponent let me install. What do I do with my install? I usually never get or use any. :O Anything that I can do with combo 1 with install? :D
  17. There are a lot of assumptions when it comes to tier lists. Firstly, that they are science - they try to be, but they re not honest about the endeavor. \ Secondly, they assume equal skill level, and unspokenly - they assume it on a high tier level. Thirdly, they are simply numbers given to circumstances. From what I understand, while we measure it as on a 1-10 scale - translating them into matchup data, this doesn't mean we have a sufficient N, nor do we have a sufficient representation of the characters or matchups outside of our assumed context. This is why you hear a joke about "American Tier list" where Tager is on top. :P Tier lists are not the Word of God. They are deeply flawed and make a lot of assumptions and rely on context to understand properly. I use matchup data often when I chat in streams or commentary - I do this because people like data, and that's what little we have until someone a little more motivated and knowledgeable than me comes along and implements a proper and efficient process for gathering and interpreting matchup data for EVERYONE. I do it because people like data and the Tier lists are a guideline to a matchup, not a law.
  18. Repost since I don't wanna bump in an info thread: I lost that amazingly helpful-looking video someone posted for help going from kote onto stick and proceeding to rape. Anyone care to repost? EDIT: found it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUXGgUBT6Sk
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox5VfXz6JDs NOT BAD! Although I'm a bit of a minimalist - I would have the buttons styled and labelled differently, so the front image would be more plain, and the area around the stick would have the same battlepose image. Too much yellow, but I LOVE the Lao Jiu, the Dao Stick, and choice of images... Oh, But I would have "HANDS OFF THE PANDA" on the bottom.
  20. Well, the classic is good enough because I liked the position it left me in, but doesn't work - I ended up getting 5C the other day, so I guess I need new stuff. Bang's faster, so that's really fun, too. I can still try to jump over and 4C and vaccuum into more stuff, right?
  21. So there I was, playing CS2. And I hit something with 6C. And 5D didn't take a half hour to happen. and I could hit stuff. I had no combos, though. WTF thought it was a good idea to change FRKZ input? Fuck them. I am so hyped to learn this new and exciting Bang. Question: What replaces Bangs CT opening 5BB 2C 6D?
  22. I played CS2 the other day. 6D Rapid6D Rapid6D is funny. This game is going to be so much fun when it comes out. :P I also can do stuff on Bang. Wow. This game is Sugoi.
  23. I lost that amazingly helpful-looking video someone posted for help going from kote onto stick and proceeding to rape. Anyone care to repost?
  24. Four winds works differently depending on how you staff is placed and what you do with it - experiment to understand it. I use four winds to squeeze in players and force them to block or trick them while in air for pseudo-midscreen-Daisharin mixup. It's also good for controlling air little more aggressively than simple staff cover. I also use it for a shield. If you place it correctly, Four Winds becomes Stick-Shield, if it hits while you follow you have free confirm before you confirm. There's a Daisharin mixup thread, I think. Lots of good advice in there.
