  1. They need to vastly increase hitstun deterioration, remove any bonus proration from Veil Off if it gives any, and reduce the amount of meter Chain Shift gives back. It's not just the duration of the combos, but also the fact that it's perfectly normal to burn 800% meter (!!) with two 200% Veil Offs in one combo, which translates to 4 EX specials and 2 supers. Just these two small changes will vastly improve the game, since its fundamental mechanics are not bad at all. It's just that some of them need extra work.   3. Right after the first trailer, maybe even after a couple of loketests, I thought Amane was the most interesting new character. But that changed drastically when the game came out. Azrael seems incredibly fun to play with, looks and sounds amazing, has hype combos, and is strong in the way all characters should be. His theme is also one of the few CP tracks I like. The one thing that still hypes me as shit even after all these months of watching CP matches, is his voice. Yasumoto did such a good job depicting violence through speech. Even the slightest ORA or KUSO GA brings a hype filled smirk on my face, and I often find myself grunting his lines during specials, supers etc. I can't wait to pick him up and start not giving a fuck, doing guardpoint Valiant and shit, 4K off throws with fullscreen carry, and adding as many DUMPS in corner combos as possible. --- Mod Edit: We are trying to avoid using words like that now so I edited that part out just in case. Holy shit I just noticed that during the last super Terumi teleports above Haku, does a quick flip, TIES HIM UP with some whiteish stuff which turn invisible, then proceeds to pull them forward and cut Haku. Like some kind of sharp iron wires or something. God damn knowing this makes the already awesome due to NAKAMURA VOICE SEX super even more hype :lordknight:
  5. Judging by the reactions here and in the youtube comment section, it seems like it won't. I personally do find it ugly, and just hope they don't replace hand-drawn sprites with these models in all of the following ASW titles... "A new era for Arc System Works is coming"

  20. As long as he can freeze near the end of his combos he's always gonna have resets which require no meter, save 6A RC. I don't think spending 50 meter with Jin was ever really worth it besides RC Rehhyou or throw RC combos. There are some silly shit like Sekka RC > run up throw, but the reward isn't all that great or certain. It's nice having options like these, but they shouldn't be abused in the first place anyway. They're just even less worth it in CP. And I pretty much just answered my question on why we haven't seen throw RC combos yet; they're probably strong, but there are better ways to spend the meter. Plus, what was awesome about them was the fact that we got almost 50 meter back, which will never happen in CP.
  21. You use up 25 meter exactly because it takes away almost half of the opponent's life in the corner off a full range poke or a fast overhead, and gets you a knockdown. There's honestly no drawback in this situation, big and easy damage off equally easy to get starters and you end up with an advantage. The new meter mechanic sounds horrifying to a player who needs lots of it, but in the end of the day Jins keep using EX specials whenever they need them. Meter's always there. I would only conserve it in CP against someone I have trouble dealing against and need those CAs. The only character who would be gimped by the new system would be Hazama, but they changed him up a bit so he doesn't have to rely on it that much I'm pretty conservative with CSEX Jin's meter by the way, and I always end up finishing the round with Hiyoku or Touga. Often double Hiyoku or Touga. I'm not saying you have to be stupid about it, but one of the reasons CP Jin is so good is his EX specials which finally became usefull.

What I'm looking forward to is Sekka ender on both airborne and grounded opponents in the corner, since it looks really promising; possible safejump j.2C on the first occassion, hard knockdown on the second, without sacrificing any damage since it seems to work just fine even when its SMP kicks in, still maintaining its use as a combo filler early on. Of course Hizansen ender nets more damage, but it doesn't seem to offer many options even in the corner. starter > Musou > 5C > 6C > Sekka > (5B) > 5C > 2C > hj.D > (iad j.2C > j.C) > 66 5B > (5C) > (3C) > Sekka This probably works with decent starters, and won't be lacking too much in the damage department compared to the usual Hizansen path. Musou > 5C > 2C > 6C > Rehhyou > 5B could work as well with a good starter like 6B or 6C, and there's always CT for some extra boost. Edit: it just occured to me how damaging throw RC combos would be. I mean, Hakumen gets easy 8K by cancelling his fricking air throw after the first hit with OD; since the first hit doesn't do any damage and has 100 P1 and P2, the damage output after that is enormous. The same applies to Jin's forward throw as well. Maybe we still got 4K+ throw RC combos in the corner?
