  1. Phew, well I took footage of me trying to play so I guess I'll upload it later. Today it is holiday in Japan, but there seemed to be rather good players there already. I was lucky to get to spar two times. Most players were so good that they hogged the 1P machines and picked of victim for victim. Most people were "BB Player" but there was a rather good Makoto by the name of... I forgot ._. Maybe I'll remember later... I tried with 6C and it didn't work. Probably only 4C. 4C~A is the command by the way.
  2. You can cancel Hakumen charged 4C by pressing A going back to neutral.
  3. I got some bad vertical footage of me trying to play the arcade, so is there any good free video editing software that I can change the aspect ratio/cut the resolution?
  4. Oh, I was just at the arcade and found out that you could feint 4C and was going to be all cool "you guys, I found out something even the Japanese don't know". Aww. XD edit: I hope for the love of Ra that it wasn't me who was on that stream DX
  5. I just think it needs to be faster, so that it can be used in combos other than from max 6C. Especially now that it ends so quickly, you cannot really just throw it out and hope to get a combo. And you can't use CT during Mugen.
  6. Cooldown is probably still 90F, but it doesn't stop his gain completely just slows it down! However, I think they've added cooldown to 1 magatama specials, but with just the slow down it doesn't really matter. I think there is no cooldown during OD. There could be, but because of the retarded speed of OD I don't think it matters either. Constant used-more-than-9-magatama-3x speed, neutralizes with OD. If you hit with Shippuu or Yukikaze during OD Mugen, Mugen will end but you will (at least) have no cooldown until OD ends.
  7. So they went haywire buffing all starting proration, lol. I guess maybe Zantetsu > Kishuu can lead to some rather good damage now. I see a lot more Zanshin (well, except 6D), is it because no one has figure out the game yet, or is the game speed working in the favour of them? Seems like they lowered the hitstop on 5D since the first loketest.

JC > 5C link seems to be really close, so I am unsure Oh yeah... hmmmmmm I just saw it once today, when I was watching the other machine, for a moment I thought it was back, but I guess I'm wrong. ): It wasn't follow-upped though, maybe it isn't possible anymore? Also, I thought it looked like Agito ender was neutral at best?
  9. The little I saw, he seemed pretty good as long as he was on the ground, but the aerial combos including the corner ones didn't look too satisfying. Double Zantetsu gave 5k midscreen from what seemed to be uncomplete combo. Anyone seen any 6D?
  10. I took a detour to the arcade and luckily there were two Hakumen players there. Don't know if it has been mentioned somewhere esle but, Zantetsu got a HUGE proration buff

  12. I did not that to be honest, and when you put it that way, it makes sense. [pesonal preference]However, I love the J2A dash J2A, and whatever happens in the future, if they make the move away from it I just feel the chances of ever getting it back, is quite slim. [/personal preference] But whatever combo that has J2A dash J2A must have more combo carry than jump cancel combos right? Well, I guess he will get corner carry from Hotaru, but other than that, will he have any corner carry? (asking, not implying there isn't) Well, EX JB is called the Magic JB or Devil JB for a reason. XD Oh, this is what I wanted to hear. I haven't actually read anyone saying "new combos looks fun". Regardless of my level of play, I haven't ever put down time to fighting game, so I wouldn't know whether it is fun/interesting to have your staple combos changed after a couple of years. For most of us, there are far more to a character than just combos.

  14. No offense taken. I state my opinions like facts, hoping that people prove me wrong. : ) That is just how I work. What I have said is that I am a conservative dick, that Hakumen is dead to me and that I think he is going to be bottom tier. (well, at least low tier) However, with Hakumens low combo rate and no run dash, I have a hard time seeing how anyone could find something magical. When EX came out, Tsubaki was really bad. While I would say she is still a weaker character, Kuresu and Conan shines with their 5A dash 5A pressure and throw mix-up. But hey, what do I know. JC wall stick is the secret? Do we in fact have bonus proration on 6D? Is there a secret behind Zantetsu? I have no idea how bad Rachel was in CS1, so I cannot really comment on that, but in the loketest before this one they said that Ragna does more than 4k from a 5B starter in the corner meterless. If this true, I cannot see anyway Hakumen can be stronger than Ragna. Or does someone still disagree with me that ID is better than Zanshin? Doesn't the changes change him quite much? Abyssmal corner carry compared to all other versions and I guess (?) his defence also is much weaker than before? I can understand that you guys keep playing Hakumen, you've been through a lot together and well, he still is Hakumen, even if I don't want to admit that. : p But I would like you to see it from my perspective as well. Like BladeofJustice said in the hype thread: I choose character 60% by looks and 40% by game mechanics. For me half of this is also uniqueness. If Hakumen's J2A dash J2A (which looked frickin' awesome by the way) is not there anymore, he is going to jump cancel his aerial combos like most others in the cast. Also, every characters Drive is half of their uniqueness. And they nerfed Hakumens. My sect of the Hakumen-religion was J2A dash J2A and Zanshin, and I feel like they have squashed me under their feet. This is why Hakumen is dead to me, not because he is weak. Because his not what Hakumen meant to me, what made him fun to play for me. Then you have to consider that I am very weak player. Of course I like getting rewarded, so when I get rewarded in thirty minutes for learning a Tager combo it felt great. It didn't feel so great when I spent 4 hours to get the dustloop once, and then only used it succesfully in matches twice. I'm not a hardcore gamer and BB was my first 2D fighter. And now that I am in Japan, I need to either settle for playing by myself and buy a box or need to learn to play arcade stick (which just isn't in my taste). With these walls to get over, I'm not particulary happy about facing another wall of playing a weak character as well. In this regard, Izayoi is most good-looking girl to date in the game and while Hakumen is best good-looking guy in the game, you can't fight boobies. If Izayoi is fun to play (=has some easy way to get rewarded), then she might just be the one for me.

  16. I enjoyed playing Tager a lot more, just because I did his challenges 1 to 9 in like one hour, while it took me 4 hours just to get the dustloop for Hakumen once. Anyway, if I gotta be honest, I'm seriously thinking of switching to Izayoi if she turns out to be a projectile-Hakumen. I'm too bad too have such an loyalty as you guys. Though, I promise, Hakumen will always have a place in my heart.

  18. If Izayoi is kind of a projectile-Hakumen, is it a conspiracy from Arc to nerf Hakumen so bad that everyone tries out the new character? (OДO)

  21. I too welcome OD but, I think they should have stayed with it being super-strong. The nerfs to it just makes it less important than being able to burst.
  22. For me, both Mu and Tsubaki has headwear, which I for some reason dislike. This is also the reason I like the new Noel. You are not alone.
  23. No. But this time around, they aren't shit. There are at least 15 colours, unsure how many you have to unlock, and if you can unlock more. Reporter: "People are looking forward to Kokonoe." Mori: "People need to understand that I am a liar." Word. Ragnas already incredible strong so he won't be needing the burst. By spending his burst on OD he can probably kill opponent even faster. And remember that OD only consume 75% of the Burst Gauge. It seems like they want Hakumen to use OD in conjuction with Mugen, so that is never going to happen. *cough* EX Tsubaki *cough* and Tager to be honest. No combos for Tager make me sad. So my two favourite characters get screwed over, but instead I get two pair of boobs and Noelegance. I might try to learn this game after all. I pretty sure bugs still consume metre during OD. Also, I thought Arakunes OD last quite short in comparison to Ragna. Maybe I'm just wrong. With Izayoi, maybe at last a girl who is good-looking by my preferences?
  24. Exactly my thoughts. Agito is sadly not an overhead. But isn't semi-combable 6B, faster dash and added gatling 2A > 3C things that would improbe mix-up? There are no changes to the start-up of 2D. However, you cannot combo of it. Didn't anyone say that JD has minimum height now?
