This is actually a very good question. I checked on training mode but couldn't find anything good to use at this range. You can still get a knockdown with extra damage by ending the combo with either Gustav or 3C(though 3C SMP can screw that over in really long combos). Other than that I have no idea what you can use to end the combo, not counting supers(BHS can be used to end the combo just fine and I think Scud can as well).

Because forward dash is not special cancellable, so we have to cancel the jump cancel into a special before the jump actually comes out. I wish they made forward dash special cancellable tbh. I think Azrael is a top A character but I have a hard time considering him S tier due to how many problematic matchups he has.

You can still get 5K+ anywhere on the screen against Tager off a 3D CH, thankfully. If too far from the corner then you can get over 5K by doing 3D CH>2C>3D(Heavily delayed)>6A>forward walk 5C\2B(2B is much easier, 5C leads into more damage)>TCL>Dash 5A\IAD J.A>air combo ender Close to the corner you change dash 5A for 5B into air stuff, adding roughly 200 damage. Ironically, you get the least damage if directly in the corner, as you can only go into 5B after 6A which means you miss out on the extra damage 5C or 2B gives. Still over 5K though. Feel free to come up with better combos though since my combo knowledge is limited due to me not playing a lot lately.

Eh, total bullshit. That is just me, though.

He kind of does, really. This matchup basically consists of waiting for the Jin to make a mistake and capitalize. If they play really safe and don't do mistakes, you're S.O.L.
-
That is true, but it's really a case of being able to tell if the enemy is at a good height for it during the combo. In a lot of situations you can slap that J.A in and get away with it, but there ARE some combos where J.A either puts you out of range or actually burns enough time for J.B to not combo into J.C(yes it happens). It's basically a 'good judgment' thing in those situations and you just gotta decide at the time if it's gonn work or not, but there is no reason not to go for it if it will work.
-
J.A adds more damage(roughly between 20\30 at the end of long combos), so it's there for damage optimization.

I tested and it whiffs after 236D if you delay it too much(not due to teching). Didn't get it to whiff under any other common circumstances, and it works after 236D at all ranges if done right away.

If you mean the quote followed by a scream, that is normal for every time he teleports after a D(You can check by pausing the game after teleporting but before attacking). It's just that the last part gets overrided by the following attack quote.

Look man, I understand you're not really liking this, but please don't act like your opinion on the matter is the only truth there is. Most Bang players would be happy to have this in their arsenal and there are many ocassions in fighters where glitches either become real mechanisms or are left because they add depth to the game or to specific characters. Until we get to see how effective this is in a real match(if we do at all), there is nothing really wrong with it. If it turns out to be fucking broken or some shit(and I mean in PRACTICE, not theory) then sure, I will vote for getting rid of it too. Until there, innocent until proved guilty.

I don't know bro, the only reason Smash Bros Melee was competitive was because of how glitchy it is.

So like, how do you beat air throw tech>360? I got caught by it the other day a few times because I legit have no idea how to get past that due to lack of matchup experience and was too scared to mash J.A over nothing. Is that really what I'm suppose to do? J.B\J.C instead maybe? Something I can press after it and have good chances to beat it? I know it sounds scrubby to ask this, but like I said I don't fight enough Tagers to know what I'm really suppose to do at moments like those.

Some people can't afford them, or don't go to their local scenes(if there is one) enough to warrant buying one. Anyway, I'm really liking the looks of CP1.1 Kagura. His changes were exactly all I wanted, other than the dumb 6A nerf which honestly has no reason to even have happened. You can still OD cancel it, sure(I think), but who is gonna burn a burst to follow up an overhead? Regardless, the C moves buff is greatly appreciated, and same for the faster stance cancels and their buffed properties. Really hype for going back to this guy now that I know I won't feel I can't get shit done in neutral with him because everything is ass and he is a slow bastard.

You know, that only made the BHS look that much cooler for some reason lmao

blazblue BlazBlue: Central Fiction [RIP PROGRESS]
Lucalibur replied to SirRouzel's topic in Zepp Museum
Much appreciated! A lot of people have been dying for those lately. -
Little risk my ass, they're just coming up with excuses to generalize and nerf the cast again.

Most of the Azrael stuff were fixes which indirectly makes them (rather minor) buffs. The backdash nerf is sad(honestly it makes no sense they're nerfing so many backdashes but BB has been suffering from 'everyone gets nerfed with every patch' syndrome ever since CS2 anyway) but the negative penalty one is insignificant. Here hoping we still have double weakpoint combos off hornet, otherwise we're gonna be stuck with no weakpoint valiant combos mid-screen...which are admittedly very swaggy, but still. Growler's buff is definitely the best one out of the bunh, though I also appreciate Cobra's and OD's buffs as well. CP2 Azrael is looking just as strong as he is now.

It's playable, and that is by itself a great improvement from vanilla I think. The netcode could definitely be better, but alas, at least we can play with locals now. I'm really enjoying +R Sol personally. Fafnir is such a delicious thing now, not nearly as useless as it used to be. No more 5HS into nothing!

Finally. I felt like an European waiting for the +R update.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Lucalibur replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
You can't cancel into Fafnir, so it's hard to really use it when the enemy is in blockstun. -
Dash 2B\5B, air dash\backdash J.C(or just air backdash if don't wanna commit), or just sit there and wait. Comboing into astral is hella easy but most options got covered. Basically anything that leads into air hit 6A or a level 2 D other than non-corner 5D works.
-
Did you ever try Bang out? He is a pretty mixups heavy character but his neutral game requires knowledge of resources management and proper usage of air options. He is not as offensive as Valk, but follows a similar mentality, so he should give you an idea of how something closer to the middle ground works. If you plan on picking up P4U2, both Shos are also worthy candidates. They seem to have a passive offensive type of playstyle by design, but have a solid(albeit not godlike) neutral game with a fair amount of mobility that should teach you to learn your ranges, plus knife toss is a lot more fun than tossing out fireballs. Other than that, I don't know what else could work. Good luck anyway, though.

Guilty Gear is not nearly as 'anime' as Blazblue, though. In fact, Guilty Gear probably remains one of the most unique franchises up to this day as far character designs and soundtrack goes. The new 3D was clearly made specifically for them, and it is not really 'anime' as much it is 'Guilty Gear with extra life'. I'm not saying Blazblue can't work in 3D or anything, but...Blazblue is a very cliche, one dimensional, and honestly BLAND franchise from an anime standpoint. There is nothing unique about the designs, or the plot, or any of that. It's a style(if it can even be called this) that fundamentally works better with its native art style, the hand drawn one. I'm not against it going 3D, but it really wouldn't do any 'good' to it. Whether it would do bad or not depends on how they would pull it off, but it definitely wouldn't do 'good'.

Blazen! ~ BB:AM Abridged - Episode 04 (RELEASED)
Lucalibur replied to Shadow Draygon's topic in Zepp Museum
I definitely didn't see that ending coming. You really gotta wonder how deep you gotta dig to find crap like that.
