  1. I really wish I could sig each and every one of your posts sometimes.
  2. This is a great way to look at it. There are certain matchups you will never enjoy, and I can tell from the chars you've got listed zoners aren't exactly on the top of the favorites list. However, it's specifically because of that reason that you should try your best to learn those matchups, because they're the ones that really test you as a player.
  3. Alright I'm gonna have to step in because if I don't say something about this I won't sleep well at night. This is bullshit. There are still a lot of people playing anime FGs, not just here but in many other sites as well. The only reason people get the idea it's 'unstable' is because people like you(no intended offense) go around saying it's the case, so they get discouraged and move away from it, resulting in a self fulfilling property. Please try avoiding saying stuff like that when you can, it doesn't do the community any good to have people going around saying it's gonna die. As far this topic goes, I find the current situation to be similar to the ones in competitive Pokemon when the suspecting(and possible ban) of a Pokemon are being considered, so I have some experience with it. It's pretty much agreed by everyone Kokonoe is too strong, but there is a mix of people that think 'she is strong enough to be banned' and people that don't. How about we look at this from another viewpoint? Instead of discussing if she is OP enough to be banned, we should instead discuss how HEALTHY it would be to keep her around. That is, even if it's possible to manage her, is it worth the trouble? Is it healthy for the community and game to keep her around? Is the damage she may cause worth all of this in the HOPES she will get the nerf she deserves in a patch that may only come in months, if at all? For all we know she might only get nerfed in the obvious CP2. I didn't really bother to read the past pages in detail, but personally I don't think she is a HEALTHY addition to the game, even if a manageable one. I am on the 'ban her until nerf' side of this whole mess due to that, because outside of Kokonoe all of the other top tiers, while definitely relatively powerful in comparison to the rest of the cast, are not enough to warrant any type of 'banning' discussion. Kokonoe is simply too much for this game, she damages it on a more fundamental level than just being the 'best' character. She hurts the game's health, and the community very likely won't be happy dealing with her shit, which can and WILL cause some damage to it. Just my 2 cents.
  4. The frame data says most of his Ds are negative on block, with J.D being neutral(don't know how that works). That being said, he IS invincible through the whole thing, but I would still say he is in a bad situation simply because the enemy can move first and you lose all momentum.
  5. Thanks for the Bardock Azrael bro! It looks pretty good.
  6. Never thought I would say this, but...I'm gonna go with you in this one.
  7. Hmm, I've always liked the Grappler\Rushdown hybrid more than their pure variations. Kouma is probably one of the characters in fighting games I enjoyed using the most, because I could play a grappler while having more options than just 'force enemy to respect you and command grab them'. If such a character were to be added, I would definitely try them out for sure.
  8. 5A into 5B might not combo at 5A's maximum range or if it hits an extended hitbox, and 5C>Buster doesn't combo at 5C's max range. Other than those 2, I can't think of any moments where Azrael's stuff doesn't combo properly.
  9. In all honesty, someone that was born and taught the way Tsubaki did has all the right to hate on someone that killed thousands of innocent people, destroyed many key locations, ran off from restaurants without paying, and has the highest bounty known by living men.
  10. Actually, that is one of the main reasons as to why I hate Noel!
  11. Currently trying it out. This game clearly has a lot of potential, despite how early the version we're at is. Scythe loli is cool. I went in expecting crazy amounts of panty shots because of her skirt, but it was a pleasant surprise to see absolutely none of them, and I'm definitely hoping it stays that way. Tried out kung-fu dude a little too but I don't really like him. Nothing against the char itself, I'm just not into the archetype. More into muscly hard hitting dudes like Azrael. Let's get down to gameplay, though... Not really liking Scythe Loli's 5L. It's clearly suppose to be a type of fast poke, or at least I think it is, but the horizontal hitbox is kind of ass and misleading given the animation. I do like her J.L and J.H hitboxes, though. Crossing up with J.H is possible AND easy. Definitely a good move. Not really liking her EX fireball. What special properties does it have? Feels like a waste of meter because the startup is too slow despite its speed. Only real good thing about it is that you can easily combo after it and it combos from 5D. Combo filler maybe? Since we're on about 5D, that thing has some amazing range. Is it unsafe, maybe? Doubt it can be punished at max range but it's definitely rewarding nonetheless. 214L is pretty cool. You can link 5P or 5K after it and keep the combo going. Thankfully you can't loop it. You can also combo it off 5D and get an air combo despite the meh untechable time on it. Is it safe maybe? It looks like it could be neutral or positive. You can do a lot of combos off her 2D since it goes into 2L. Heck, you can get around 4\5 reps of 2D>2L>5D in the corner before they air tech. Pretty funky lol. I'm gonna keep up with this game's development. Definitely liking the direction it's going.
  12. Yeah, the CMV was great Rath. Good job.
  13. Freaking Seiya, man. They just keep adding characters I love. I don't think anyone expects this game to be balanced in any way, but the cast is pretty much nostalgia to every anime fan worth of their sauce. Definitely getting this once it's out.
  14. This is pretty much my view of this anime as well. It was fun to go through it because it was just so terribly bad. Between QUALITY, terrible pacing, and just plain bad writing, it's practically a golden mine for anyone looking for parodying material. And to go along with the flow, Merry Christmas folks.
  15. He didn't really do anything over half of the cast didn't do worse, but he still gets a lot of shit tossed at him.
  16. Izayoi's normals don't suck but to answer your questions, you should always play safe as far those things go. You don't want to be pressing buttons only to get hit by a reset during a combo or punished by a meaty during wakeup. You sit there, block, react, and just hope to god you hold on until you find an opening. Obviously there are exceptions, but this is the thumb rule.
  17. Was this actually tested? If yes then it's pretty useful info. 214D CH easily leads into a damaging combo, upper mark, and some respect.
  18. Honestly, the recovery is pretty short so sometimes it DOES feel like most of the active frames 'cover' the recovery ones, even though that is not how it works at all. 7 active frames is amazing, specially with that fat(albeit short ranged) hitbox, so if properly timed it can definitely beat a lot of things and still remain fairly safe.
  19. I think SD's video proves we're all the Ragna of this anime by this point.
  20. Yeah I've guardpointed supers before the patch as well. 214Ded right through Izayoi's super DP and killed her with it. The guardpoint is really funky, it stays active until the max charge time is over or you let go of the button. It's no DP, but you can punish some large recovery stuff with it. Counter hit 214D is actually really good too, since you can easily follow it up. The question is WHAT we can guardpoint, because so far it seems we can guardpoint pretty much anything that is not a throw so long it hits us during the guardpoint period.
  21. It can guardpoint anything that is a not a low or unblockable during the charge period, I think. I've guardpointed some weird shit with it, but then I just get 2Bed the fuck out of it.
  22. Guess mine are cheap ones then lol, because I couldn't really hear any music on those scenes. The voices were fine for the most part though, only stuff I couldn't understand wasn't because of the volume, but simply my inability to understand standard English speak sometimes(not a native speaker). You should probably get more feedback on this to check if others couldn't hear any music as well, just to make sure.
  23. Actually, the first Noel and Jin scene doesn't have music either...I think. Could just be my laptop and it's disturbingly low volume limit. Regardless, both this and the Noel meeting Ragna scene didn't really need music so there wasn't any harm done. The Ragna VS. Jin scene could have really used some music, though. Anyway, way I see is that most scenes really should have some background music that is not really extremely noticeable, but still keeps the background from being in complete silence. Kind of like the scene where Ragna and Tao eat together. The following scene with Noel and Hazama also seems to have music, but the volume is much lower and I had to force myself to hear to actually notice anything. To be honest, I would say practically all of the Ragna and Tao scenes handled music perfectly(it doesn't ALWAYS have to be there, but when it is, it's easy to notice while not getting in the way of the dialogue). Meanwhile most Noel scenes seemed to be lacking in that same 'music quality', so reviewing those scenes should give you a good idea of what I mean. That is just me though, so take it with a gran of salt.
  24. Did I do it right? Does it work? These are way too good not to post lol. Edit: You frosty rusher is pretty amazing too lmao. The first pic doesn't work for me though, Dagger.
