Truthfully, I don't understand Blazblue's story. It's so convoluted I can't make heads or tails of anything. But they did open the door to the most confusing things in story-telling: multiple worlds theory. So yes, Lambda and Nu can exist in the same universe somewhere, and maybe the "gameplay" is that world. I mean, Ragna lost an arm and magically got it back, Nu and Lambda magically coming back seems totally canon. Anyways, knowing ASW, Lambda will be significantly different than Nu, since they're known for different characters and all. Sure Nu, Mu, Lambda all have pretty much the same normals up to a certain point (even their health, move speed, backdash, etc are the same) but they're still way different. So I have faith.
-
I support Lambda being similar to Weiss with the sword equip thing. I just think she should contrast Nu in some way. Even her idle stance should be different. Nu in BBCP was pretty rough on beginners, which is why a lot of people dropped her. But she's still fun to use from time to time.
-
We can plainly see, based on that image, that Lambda's new drive will consist of her visor acting as orbital bombardment.
-
Here's the contrast that would make Lambda make sense. She would need to be more rushdown with faster normals or something and her drive covers her approach. And she needs to use her ponytail blade in some manner. I will never let that unused weapon get away.

Like this.

Then Marie seems like a good candidate to add more. Though Adachi probably has a few.
-
Well, I would be interested in Lambda if she's different than Nu. Might get me back into the game. Celica also seems interesting.
-
Well, I never played Golden so I'm not sure how hype I should be here. If she has almighty moves that could be cool. I'm not sure if any character in P4A has any.
-
Actually, I may have been thinking about 2As when I was thinking about sweeps.
-
I believe most characters' sweeps could low profile Mitsuru's 5A in vanilla.
-
Hmm, this stuck out for me. How is it easier to punish Mitsuru's 5A compared to P4A? In P4A her 5A has 21F of recovery and in P4AU her 5A has 19F of recovery, so I assumed it would be slightly harder to punish or be basically the same as P4A. Things that could punish it before would either not punish it anymore or it's basically the same.

[P4AU] Mitsuru Kirijo Gameplay Discussion
AchedSphinx replied to LegendaryRath's topic in Mitsuru Kirijo
Good showing at Evo Rath and LK. It was fun watching you guys play. Perhaps next Evo I can play against you guys! On a side note, did anyone at Evo find out how Shadow Mitsuru does droit B into no charge droit SB? -
You know, the thing I dislike about Ken is his 5A. It's like Kagura's 5A. Makes me sad. So much potential there. Oh well, I guess you have to balance him somehow.
-
Well, I'm glad you respect my Mitsuru. That makes me happy. GGs to you as well. I don't play often, but if you're interested in more games let me know.
-
The P4U arcade lobby thing looks awesome. The dream of a Mitsuru sprite with an afro might be real. Oh, and I always liked the lobby thing in BBCP. Might be an easier way to find players.
-
Watching that video made me want to play Yosuke and Yu. My heart is easily swayed it seems.
-
GGs to you as well. I didn't think I'd win that much in that lobby. GGs to everyone else I played this past week. I think it's high time I get better with my Yu.
-
I may join this and play with a sub character. My Mitsuru is too high level, so it could be fun to mess around with some subs.

Well, this doesn't seem like a character problem, this just seems like an execution problem. There's no real easy way to get better, but I'll tell you the methods I go by. First off, make yourself extremely comfortable with training mode. It helps execution problems. Right now, you're not so good with hit-confirming. So you'll need to set the training dummy to Block - Random, that way when the training dummy doesn't block you'll have to react and confirm it into a combo. Basically, just do that until you're certain you can get most hit confirms. Next up is defense, again training mode helps here as well. I'd suggest recording the characters you're not so good against (or playing them) and then set the training dummy to record their blockstrings that way you get the feel of how you should block. Finally, you should make it a mission to watch as many gameplay videos of your character, other characters, etc, to get a better understanding of what people do and what works. I don't mean pro videos only, amateur to intermediate players also provide you with useful information because sometimes pros already know what works, but an intermediate player might not. It's a good way to see what works and what doesn't and what other characters can do to punish these things. And another thing, research is your friend. Information wins fighting games. So learn as much as you can and then learn some more. There are a lot of tools out there such as the dustloop wiki, but don't only rely on that, get match-up experience, talk to other players, it'll go a long way. Anyways best of luck!

I had a feeling it wouldn't be that good. But the super is unblockable and depending on the start-up, she may be able to 5D or w.e her oki is, and just do the unblockable super for free. Think of it like Kokonoe's Blackhole I guess.

GGs illness, badgerfan, and all the lobbies that kicked me today. The player room quality wasn't very high today.

Looking for beginner/intermediate psn players
AchedSphinx replied to illness690's topic in P4A Online Play
Well, I wouldn't mind sparring. I'm on the East Coast. My psn is p4uplayer. -

Yeah it's a good idea. That way you're used to the mechanics sooner and you won't be going into P4AU blind.
