  1. Good games to everyone I played today. I had a lot of fun
  2. Good Yu's are pretty rare. I know you're from EU, but try to play against Edurado Hook, his Yu is pretty sweet. And since you mentioned this, I got to thinking about Yu's pressure a bit more. 5C > 2B > 5B is gapless, Mitsuru can't sweep there because 2B has 14 frames of block stun and 5B has 9 frames of start up. So 5C > 2B > 5B is a lot more logical for a Yu player. So if we think that way, 5C > 2B > 5B > 5C would be the follow up since Yu can do 5C twice in a block string. Yu can't go back into 5B from 5C here and 2B will be risky because it can whiff due to the spacing of the block string, so after that final 5C, 2C is much more logical. He also has some options after 5C > 2B > 5B such as doing raging lion instead of 5C or swift strike. Like I said before, raging lion is risky against Mitsuru in the corner. If she blocks it, she will back throw, Yu is in the corner eating 3k dmg plus oki. Not a place he wants to be. Anyways, this probably goes beyond the Q&A thread but I hope it helps.
  3. According to the wiki, Feather Flip (236C/D) is fatal recovery and the ground version of Hyper Feather Shoot (236236A/B).
  4. If that trip he does to Teddie is Adachi's DP, it'll be just like Yosuke's except he doesn't laugh at you when he does it (though it feels like he does). Basically, he's trying to one-up the ultimate troll Yosuke. Also, if Adachi escaped from prison, those guards gotta be the guards from Batman. Joker always escaping. Based on the gameplay in the trailer, it also looks like Adachi might have some high damage combo potential. Anyways I'm pretty hype for him. I don't know if he'll surpass Minazuki on my sub list, but it'll be a close one .
  5. They sometimes do it to fish for Fatals since he can get good damage off it. 5C cancels into 2C also. It's a hard read so you'd need to know that the Yu player has a tendency to do this. They'll usually do it if they don't have oki set. But yeah, things like 2B and such can beat the sweep. I think something like 5C > 2B is something that would be good to remember. If he does 5C > 2B he can go into 5B or 2C which Mitsuru's sweep goes under. He's unlikely to do sweep without a hit confirm his only other option would be a special such as raging lion or swift strike. You can rule out swift strike. Raging lion is a high risk/low reward kind of thing in the corner against Mitsuru because she can grab after blocking and he doesn't want that to happen. So logically, if he does 5C > 2B you can assume he will either do 5B or 2C afterwards if he wants to continue pressure or jumping away to be safe.
  6. If you're having problems with lag stick to playing against people with 2 or higher bars. I don't drop combos often, even in lag. Mitsuru is pretty lenient. But if it's laggy assume you will drop throw combos and 2A pick ups in the corner. It is not disrespectful or scrubby to DP. It is a reversal. It is necessary. If you don't DP, the person will assume you never DP, and they will disrespect you and get away with crazy things. You should DP, but don't do it often. Use it to let them know that you actually DP. That's important because if they try to bait a DP or slow down their pressure you can use that to escape if you read it correctly. Not DPing can also be a defensive option. For Narukami you want to space him properly and know what his blockstrings are. Sometimes Narukami's like to do 5B > 2C or something in the corner, well Mitsuru can sweep under that. Also, Narukami's will rarely toss out swift strike (at least the good ones) because Mitsuru can punish it with 5A. Check out Yu's frame data for raging lion. Mitsuru can reliably punish the A versions, I think the B versions are plus on block but they're slow so it should be possible for reaction DP or roll even. If you get knocked down you will have to be good at blocking. Sometimes you can get away with DPs if he decides to roll through or IAD cross up. Don't let him try to reset or anything, once his oki is over Mitsuru can poke out with 5A, throw, jumping, etc. I don't really have much experience with Naotos since she is pretty rare. Most cases, j.B kills her traps so you can use that to get in. Since her bullets beat out droit, you will have to play a slower game and try to push Naoto to the corner. You only really need to land a good hit and Naoto will be in some serious trouble. 5D whip is pretty good, though 2D whip is probably the best since Naoto's tend to stay in the air. Watch out for the common Naoto shenanigans like SB roll out of the corner and that kick thing. A neat and powerful tactic you should consider using is, if they're in the corner, back step > 5A counter > sweep. Pretty powerful to bait grabs and also gets you time to react to Naoto doing her DP. If you want to bait DPs, consider using 2C, sweep feint, or 5C during blockstrings. I hope that helps.
  7. Well, Chie doesn't necessarily have to work that hard. Once she gets one hit confirm it's a one player game which is pretty tough for the person on the receiving end. But I suppose that's just from personal experience. I think that tier list has a few typos or something. The match-up between Kanji and Elizabeth is 5.5-5.5, which, uh, doesn't make sense. I assumed it was in Elizabeth's favor, but who knows at super high levels of play. Oh and yes you should pick players you enjoy most. I picked Mitsuru up because I watched some videos before P4A released consoles and liked how far her normals reach. It was really cool to watch. I didn't pick her up because high-tier. And chances are I'm going to pick up one of the Shos in P4U2 because of the normals. I have odd reasons why I pick up characters. Like I'm probably going to end up picking up Rise because of her walking backward animation. Anyways, pick who you enjoy, tier lists come later. Also, I find that tier list pretty funny. I assume most of the netplay community doesn't know of it because every time I use Mitsuru in a lobby they declare her the most OP character in the game. She's good, not going to lie, but whenever I face a Chie I cringe like no other.
  8. Well, you have to think about S.Mitsuru a bit more. When she does her berserk mode combos, it's near impossible to burst it. Once she does droit, you're in SB bufula, which can't be burst, she then does mabufu, myraid, and you're dead basically. So S.Mitsuru is probably one of the better shadows. In my opinion I think some of the better shadows are characters who already have high HP like Mitsuru and Yu and can easily do their berserk combo from any starter. Mitsuru has the benefit of having good range, so she can build meter really easily.
  9. Well, my assumption with Ken is that his weaknesses are similar to Mitsuru's. His attack range is very horizontal so quick air to ground attack could catch him off guard and normals are on the slower side. And the whole "I can low-profile almost everything he does" thing comes in. I see Yu's sliding car giving Ken some trouble and probably Mitsuru's sweep. It depends though, I haven't seen enough of him I suppose, but he does look like a really good character. Seeing his gameplay made me more interested in playing him though. Who knows, maybe Koro covers some of these weaknesses. It'll be interesting to see what happens when an expert gets their hands on him. He could become the Kokonoe of P4AU.
  10. You can rewatch the show here gameplay starts at around the 12 minute mark.
  11. Yu has been dubbed the People's Champion. He will subsequently go on to make family-friendly movies and star in the remake of Tooth Fairy and Tokyo Drift.
  12. It's the one thing I've always wanted in P4U, to play Unlimited Characters. Now we can have our Unlimited Characters and make them...unlimiteder. Look at me, making up words.
  13. Well, I really do hope P3P FeMC battle theme is in and Mitsuru's 8-bit dungeon music is in. Perhaps my favorite themes in the entire series. Anyways, I hope you can get the music DLC in game like you could the navigators.
  14. I feel you on the P3 ending, but it isn't impossible for him to be back. The game left loopholes for the ending, so he could come back. The thing that the FeMC and MaleMC could bring to the cast are multiple personae usage. Yu doesn't do it, which is somewhat disappointing, but if the P3 MC could do it, I think they would make for complex gameplay. It would make them well-rounded characters depending on whatever their weapon is, plus it might even be an excuse to give another character stances such as Aigis orgia mode. There are plenty of high end personae they could make use of as well, such as Orpheus Telos, Messiah, Metatron, Lucifer. I think it would be cool to say the least.
  15. Probably because Orpheus Telos is the evolved form of Orpheus and P3 characters seem to all have evolved versions of their personae. FeMC probably isn't going to be a thing because Ken exists. The two use similar weapons, granted a naginata is slightly different than a spear, and most characters so far have unique weapons (with the exception of character doubles). The most likely scenario for her existence would be if they bring Minato back as a playable character and FeMC is his shadow or an alternate palette.
  16. Hmm, I could see myself using Ken, since he uses a spear, he probably has superior range compared to most characters in the game. Unfortunately, since FeMC uses a naginata, she's probably not going to be made playable. I don't actually want her playable that much, I just want her battle music made playable haha. Sounds like Ken will be complicated though what with all the personas and the dog. I'm glad Koro has been confirmed not Mitsuru's coat anymore lol.
  17. The only characters that remain are Shinji...Minato...Metis (though I suppose Shadow Aigis could be considered Metis) and Igor! I think Shinji and Minato could exist in shadow form. Unless, of course, if a person dies their shadow does as well. Not sure if there's any lore confirmation of this.
  18. I'm not really against it that much. I mean, I like Persona a lot considering how active I am in the Mitsuru forums. It probably isn't the "Persona" in the title, there could be a lot of factors involved that many of us are unaware of, who knows. But I got to thinking about that 50% thing and considering P4U2 is nearing gold status, or is already at it, there may not be much more for them to introduce to the game. So we get what we get. Either way, it'll nag me a bit. I never thought I'd be one of those people complaining about the price of a game. Ironically, another game by Atlus that peeved me a bit was SMTIV the digital version being the same price as physical (physical came with a crap ton of stuff, but both were 49.99).
  19. Fair enough. But, I honestly doubt they'll actually add 50% more than they're already shown.
  20. You can compare the two actually. BBCT to BBCS is one year. P4U to P4U2 is two years. It is worse because the amount of content added is similar, yet the price is different. It took them two years to create the same amount of content it took BBCS to have in one, yet the one that took longer costs more. I know production costs have probably increased in the past few years, but the 20 dollar hike doesn't sit well with me. Like I said before, I'll still probably end up getting it, just that this issue will nag me like no other. Looking at it another way, for me to accept P4U2 to be 59.99$ it would need to have 50% more content than it already has. So 7 new characters, 7 more stages and the alternates, I don't really care for the story but I guess 50% more of that, three extra modes, etc etc.
  21. That just makes it worse, unfortunately.
  22. Yeah, that's just the basic stuff like how they added a few things from BBCS2 to BBEX. They changed the HUD, some art here and there, but not enough to make them want to release the game at 59.99 USD. I feel its the same for P4U2. It's not really enough to justify the 59.99 USD tag. For instance, from BBCT to BBCS they added new moves, new HUD, changed the blocking mechanic, and even added some art and story and a few characters, but the price was 39.99 USD. Perhaps that's my misconception as to why I think the price for P4U2 should be 39.99. To me, I just think of this game as a transition from BBCT to BBCS (also, BBCS did all those things you mention that P4U2 is doing).
  23. You shouldn't worry too much about the combos he listed. Most of them are the same starter with slight variants. I think Reako highlighted the cooler ones though.
  24. Well, I think the game is more like BBCS2 to BBEX. In BBCP they changed a lot of system mechanics, art style, that sort of thing. P4U to P4U2 isn't that drastic of a change. The art is more or less the same along with the visuals. I don't even think BBCS was 59.99 USD when it released. So, I honestly don't think the 59.99 price for P4U2 is worth it considering it is a balance patch of sorts with a few more characters. I would be all for it if they changed things along the lines of BBCP with new art and visuals, mechanics, story, modes, etc etc. But yeah, it's not along those lines. I'll probably still end up getting P4U2, but those aspects will just nag at the back of my mind.
  25. Truth be told, I thought the game would cost 39.99 USD since the game doesn't seem as drastic as a design change as BBEX to BBCP.
