  1. Will they ever become not S? Because your sig has so much wisdom.
  2. You can use it in midscreen combos after 6C to track the opponent so you can drop 236D, basically this just gives a lot of corner carry plus some oki. You can use it after 3C to cross through, dash up and do 4B for a crazy cross up overhead. You can use it after drives to pressure with her quick normals or do a throw. It's also one of the few ways Nu can actually get her astral to work. You can use it after 3C in the corner, cross through, and astral.
  3. Well, Nu basically lives on a fine line of either broken as shit or balanced. Giving her a DP would be good, but even the S-tier characters in this game don't have DPs yet they're still S-tier. The difference would be that Nu can force you to go through the gauntlet repeatedly and if the player is baiting her DP, she can super jump forward to get out. I guess giving her an extra defensive option might sway her into broken as shit territory. Right now, the reason Nu isn't S-tier is because all her bad match-ups are S-tier excluding Bang and Carl I guess. If Nu made those match-ups 5-5, then her even match-ups would go up much higher in her favor, and people really don't like zoners. They would take Valk and Kokonoe any day of the week. I don't actually expect ASW to buff Nu in anyway. She will more than likely get slight nerfs, or characters will get more tools to deal with her zoning.
  4. Well, I'm going to be boring say my suggestions on how Nu could be S-tier. I highly doubt they'd to this, but it's all in good fun. Reduce the recovery on all of Nu's drives and specials by 10 frames. This doesn't make her CT levels of broken, but I can still see it making her somewhat broken because she will be too good at zoning then (CT Nu 5D start-up was its recovery after all). To compensate, maybe reduce the blockstun on her drives. Some other quality of life things 5C > 3C or 5C > 6C or 5C > 4B on whiff. Jump cancel 4D on hit or block. 2C head invul begins closer to the start up, around frame 5 or 6 I guess. Oh and change her Astral vs Ragna to a hug impalement a la CT ending. Oh and increase the range of her Astral. 5B > Astral would be legit. (5B has 13 frames of blockstun, her Astral has 13 frames start-up but it's too short to set up the unblockable.)
  5. Her 5A still isn't that effective against herself though.
  6. Some basic principles I think applies to zoning with Nu. First off, to actually zone with her you have to know more about the opponent's character more than you do Nu. In order to be good with Nu, you need a lot of match-up experience so you can tell what another character can do during any situation. It's easier to zone if they're full screen away. Gravity seed as often as you can. It gives you more chances to zone and poke. Next up, your spacing tools. 214D~C is really good at this. It often acts more along the lines of preventing the opponent from moving across the ground, thus their only option is either block it, or jump over it. That's why you'll see a lot of Nu's do 2D or 6D right after 214D~C. Now if they're fairly close to you and its at neutral, one of the scariest things Nu can do is IAD j.2D. It covers the ground pretty well and stops your opponents approach, plus the recovery isn't as bad as 5D, plus j.2D covers more area than 5D. If you look at the animation for j.2D, it attacks at a downward slant, so it can hit someone running at you and IAD toward you. If they do something like super jump, you can easily just land and run under them. Nu is faster than most characters. Another parts that's a bit daunting about Nu's zoning is her mobility. Effective zoning uses her mobility to get around opponents and keep poking them away with swords. Nu's best defense and offense is her mobility. Which is a really difficult thing to master. If your 6D is whiffing a lot when they're in the air, consider using 2D. Often times, 2D covers the space that 6D can't. Knowing when to use which is important as both can go into a mode change combo into oki. The best approach to learning how to zone well with Nu is playing a lot of matches (in my opinion). Zoning and neutral game isn't something easy to learn. It takes a lot of practice. And even then, it's never perfect, and you're always learning something new. 214D doesn't stop air approach, it's meant to stop ground approach, so it's not an anti-air. Try using 2D or 6D instead. If you're unsure, then you can IAD back to get into a better position, or even run under them. Anyways, those are my two cents, and I'm by no means a pro Nu player or anything. Take my advice with a grain of salt.
  7. Well, eventually I'll learn how to use Chie. She's pretty cool, but I tend to get bored of her and go back to Mitsuru. The thing about Yukiko is that there aren't a lot of them around. So it's good to play someone who's using her, even if it's subbing. We should just do like DIE-Chan and switch to Persona Sho. Or at least one of us do that. Not sure if I'd enjoy Persona Sho mirrors lol. But yeah, GGs. I really wish that 5A actually hit Mitsuru's sweep. That would make the mirror more bearable. Even though her sweep doesn't fatal in P4U2, it does if Mitsuru does droit, bringing us back to square one. GGs to Anne. For Aigis is too good! I'm learning that match-up slowly but surely. Also, your sub-Chie uses the same color as mine! Woot!
  8. I'm thinking about using Yukari or Aigis in P4U2 so I never have to play the mirror. Mitsuru vs Mitsuru is pretty troll half the time. That combo was sweet. It's always good to land thngs in netplay, that way you can drop them in tournaments :P GGs also to Anne and rath, fun room. I guess rath got tired of the Mitsuru mirror as well. I wish I had a sub I was proficient in. That way I can escape them mirrors!
  9. I'll add both. I might randomly decide to use a sub and need someone to practice against. Plus you're from TN, so you probably have a gdlk connection with me.
  10. I'll add you when I get online next time. Need more Aigis players to play.
  11. What do you do when both players have low enough HP that 5A will kill, but sweep beats that?! Good games. I dropped one too many combos. Was fun!
  12. It should be 5DD > 236B > 22A > 5DD > 4DD > 236D For the second one you can try 5C > 236B > 22A > 5DD > 236D > 22A > etc
  13. Based on her character design, Nu is expected to defeat Valkenhayn by out zoning him. If she lets him get in, she's already failed to out zone him, and has to use a burst to get out, or counter assault.
  14. That's the exact same thing I did vs LK. I knew he was going to sweep after the ground tech. So I tried to sweep before his sweep. But I always lost.
  15. You did fine my friend. Though, I did find it amusing that you joined the only lobby with only Mitsuru players. It's pretty rare to find good connections. Though, ironically, there were some lag spikes despite it being 3/4 bar. It was fun playing you guys. My Mitsuru still needs some work, or rather, I keep dropping combos. Also, I really dislike Mitsuru mirrors. And also, I shamelessly stole some LK tech in those last two games, since he always did it vs me, aka ground throw tech into sweep. Also, why is Mitsuru so good vs herself. Insane.
  16. Just saw an interesting Shadow Mitsuru combo here: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22575579 combo was 5AAAAA > Shadow Berzerk > 2A+B > SB droit > SB bufula > mabufudyne > myriad arrows B hold > C ice hit > full charge kick hits > C ice hit > SB myriad arrows > C ice hit > C ice hit > full charge kick Two full charge kicks in one combo seems pretty cool to me! As you can probably tell, this combo can probably be made better. I couldn't see the damage, the quality for my nico is poor.
  17. I keep wanting to try out Liz, since she's one of my favorite characters in P3, but I'm always put off by her options. She has gimmicks, but they seem to be only effective against people who don't know them (most net players). Though, I did enjoy messing around with her in training mode. It will probably be awhile before I actually start using her seriously. But it seems Mitsuru is still looking strong. So I'll keep maining her for the time being.
  18. GGs BookofBlue. It's been awhile since I've played a Hakumen.
  19. I forgot about that air hit stun thing. If your combo doesn't work how about SB bufula oki > 5AA > 2B > 2DD > [4B] > sweep > B coup. I'm trying to visualize it so I'm not sure how it'd work. You might be able to do 5AA > 5B > 2B. I'm not sure though.
  20. I'm not worried about Mitsuru. She will still be the best character in the game that isn't Aigis. Mitsuru's high-level gameplay hasn't changed much from what I've seen. There's a lot of spacing. A lot of throws. A lot of pressure strings that last forever. Her gameplay remains unchanged. Zone the opponent, get you into the corner, scare them for throws. The only problem is that she doesn't have bufula oki. But she can still do SB bufula oki, it'll cost 50 meter though to follow up with decent damage though.
  21. Mitsuru's damage doesn't really matter a whole lot. What matters is that she still has superior range to everyone in the game and now her pressure has more options. I like Mitsuru a lot in this new version simply because of the number of safe options they gave her.
  22. GGs ludwig. Relius is a tough match-up.
  23. Well, now that I've gotten used to it. It's actually not all that bad. I can 22A in my sleep.
  24. GGs. Interesting Jin you have there.
  25. So basically, droit B has more air hit stun than ground hit stun. That sounds pretty neat.
