Haven't seen anybody try, but you can definitely OMC it at the very least.

It works. Saw a few JP players using the dash for that last night. Side note: His throw seems to have crumple during his recovery, so if you OMC it, you might be able to get some sweet damage out of it.

This is a thread made for the sole purpose of posting videos of yourself in an effort to receive and discuss advice. In general, try to keep the videos short and to the point. Nobody wants to watch an hour of footage that feature someone spamming autocombo. A good length is somewhere around 5 matches, give or take. Also try to keep criticism as constructive as possible. It really doesn't help to bash someone, especially if they are in this thread trying to learn. Flaming will not be tolerated. That said, have fun! Hopefully we can all share and discuss like sophisticated gents. Here are some good ways to get of videos of yourself without owning your own recording equipment: 1. Twitch Streams A lot of people (such as myself) have open lobbies where they stream people's matches and then save the recordings on Twitch. Some people add highlights to the videos, which allows you to link to a particular time. This comes in handy for showing people videos of yourself without having to make them sift through the video themselves. However, a lot of Open Lobby streamers do no do this. I'm guilty of it myself. In this case, you can download .flv versions of the videos using this tool: http://www.twitchtools.com/video-download.php If you locate the number ID of the recording, you can easily download it using this tool. You can then edit this file using some video editing software and crop it to the matches you want, and then upload it to Youtube. There are many options for editing FLV files. Most programs allow you to edit WMVs, AVIs, and MPGs. FLV files are actually containers, so if your particular video editing software doesn't allow you to import FLV files, you can use an extraction/conversion tool to change it into a format you can use. 2. Youtube If you search for your username, you may find someone has uploaded some of their matches with you. Though this is far less likely than purposefully playing in an open lobby on Twitch, it can sometimes serve as an alternative. If someone has uploaded offline matches, you can simply link to the proper times. 3. Ask someone who has recording equipment to record some matches for you This is pretty much self explanatory. If you know someone, you can easily have them spectate some matches for you or record offline matches.

This thread is for the sole purpose of questions regarding the character. Whether it be advice on spacing, how to do particular combos, or how to look swag as hell ask away here. Please refrain from being confrontational in this thread - everyone here just wants to learn.

It was Michael Littlejohn. https://twitter.com/DasMailman If you need me to deliver it to him, I can. I live very close to him.

Some of this stuff I'm aware of and able to do, but some of these are new to me. I'll give them a try, thanks! I've also got a few combos down (mostly Human starters), but am currently struggling with the ... 5C > 6D > j.A > 5D > h[5B... route in his new combos. Thanks, I'll give that a look! I'll confess that reading stuff like this doesn't really click well for me until I can see it in action.

Hey guys, I'm working on picking up Valk. I've found I really like his mobility and his combos are super swag, and I like to rush people down with buttons so That said, what would be the best place to start for learning what to do with this character in neutral? Outside of just reading the strategy guide, I mean. I'm not yet sure when it's wise to switch back and forth between human and wolf in neutral, or how I should be approaching my game plan.
-
Ah, I haven't watched the full thing yet. I just noticed it while playing casuals over the weekend. The timing seems a bit picky, but it's a helpful way to crack someone's defense midscreen when they don't expect you to use Hizangeki.
-
I dunno if anyone else noticed this yet, but it appears that if you do a perfect TK Hizangeki midscreen, as close to the ground as possible, you can combo it into Ice Car D.
-
My experience at TRB last night has convinced me that Jin has a much better spacing game this iteration. Complemented by his ability to easily confirm farther/higher hits and his better midscreen damage, he's just all around really good this iteration. I feel like I did in CSII now, damn. I'm having a ball with this game so far. I can finally stop people from blatantly pressing buttons.
