Well, don't forget you can, while probably still very difficult, react to his counters with a rapid and block the followup attack in this next iteration. I find a 5B pressure reset pretty helpful and tend to use it after I trick my opponent into thinking I'm going for a tick throw: 2A > 2A , dash > 2A , dash > 2A > 2A > 5B , 5B > frametraps Often I find the second 5B tags them.
-
Yeah, the staple pressure tool that was effectively the first thing I learned about offense with Jin? NOT ANYMORE! Man, I would have never imagined this back in 2011.
-
That's what I'm probably going to do. But I just didn't want to believe 5B had that much recovery. ;_;
-
I was doubting the mook's correctness on 5B being -6, so Kurushii and I counted the frames on one of the recordings I did during AX. Sure enough, we both counted 33 frames, so unless the active frames are incorrect, it's -6.

Are you sure you're not talking about Persona 4 Arena? :V Although this game has quite a bit of that too...

Why don't you just archive the links somewhere, rather than remove them from the thread entirely? Like pastebin or something of the sort.

I nominate TheGreatReptar for the BB award due to his help in the Tsubaki forums.

I don't think Abegen was in the pools that I streamed, so you'd have to look at Bibi's stream archive for those. I believe his archives are mislabeled though, so you have to look at the one that says Casuals. :V I definitely recorded all of top 8 in HD for GG though. I'll probably work on getting some of those up tonight.

BB top 8 is at the end of this: http://www.twitch.tv/jyosua/b/430163848 I also did some HD recordings, but I didn't get the first two matches of top 8. I got everything else, though. I be uploading these to my youtube account sometime this week.

As long as players continue to enter tournaments for it, it won't die that easily. Given that most of the Anime crowd plays it, it should continue to get decent numbers at tournaments despite its status. I joke a lot about the game dying and I do think BBCP will surpass P4A's turnouts eventually, but Evo is not going to cause a sudden and massive change.
-
If we're going to stream all of top 8 on one stream, yeah an hour and thirty probably will not be enough time. BB takes on average about 10 minutes per set. That's about 80 or 90 minutes of matches, assuming there are no delays in getting a hold of anyone (and you always have to herd cats at big tournaments). If we've got two streams, it could work.

I'm not sure if he's only going to do top 4 or not) with commentary to the BBVlog relatively soon.

j/k guys, they won't allow multiple side-streams for the Evo games, so only FinestKO is going to stream it.
-
It sounds like countassaulttv also be able to support a stream, as well as finestko. We'll have at least two streams, maybe three or four. It doesn't sound like they'll let us stream multiple pools, so we might have to pick a pool and stick with it.
-
I believe second place also got a towel, as did 3rd place.
-
This was probably already assumed, but I found that, with proper spacing, you can use j.214D(1) at the end of a corner combo to freeze the opponent, land, and do a few more normals before ending with sekkajin for oki. I'd say it's probably worth the 25 meter.
-
What do you mean? Everyone was told the tournament started at 11. We called all of the people that had actually gotten in the original 32 bracket spots if they didn't show up. After that it was whoever checked in that was on the waitlist got in. I apologize for the stream problems. I'll upload HD videos monday night, and probably restream it in higher quality on tuesday.

I play using the purple palette for Jin and am the only one using that palette in SoCal, as far as I know. I've pretty much always gone by Jyosua in recent years. As far as the voices, they won't be in English. Sorry guys! I made sure to ask about that one really early on. Pretty much the entire SoCal scene goes to AX and if they care about the game, will enter. We all play anime fighters after all...
-
Aksys will be taking phone numbers so I can call people to remind them/find where they are. I also recommended them to make a waitlist of people who are willing to play in case someone doesn't show up and is unreachable. Also, I got news back from Aksys! For the tournament, you can bring your own stick or pad! Buttons settings are selectable on the character select screen, so it shouldn't be a problem.
-
Yeah, I talked to aksys today and they said I could stream some casuals as well, I just have to let them know what times. I took a look at the convention schedule and it's hard to deconflict. XD I'll plan it all out tomorrow morning.

By the way guys: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=592 I'll see if I can sneak in some time streaming me dicking around with Jin if I get the chance.
