  1. I already asked about Evo. They currently don't have plans, but they said they'd let me know if that changes. They just had too much going on this time off year to able to be able to support all of it. @SWD: You have to sign up at the Aksys booth. Just make sure to do it the morning of the first day.
  2. Oh no, SWD is going to be the first member of Serenes Forest that I meet in real life if he enters. XD Seriously though, if you want to enter: do it right away. Talking to the guys at Aksys, they are forced to limit entry to the tournament due to time constraints. There will be about 3 setups and 2.5 hours for me to run the tournament.
  3. I think this would be a great idea! Given the schedule, Friday night would probably be the best time to do this. At least in my opinion.
  4. LOL, how did Glod get 5th? Didn't he just start playing this game?
  5. Like I said, I'll give it a try, but definitely no guarantees. XD It's funny, because I can pull off certain high-difficulty combo pickups and links in some fighting games; however, I can't consistently do "easy" things like double quarter circles. My execution varies wildly depending on what I'm doing. I've been doing this for a while... I just feel so much more satisfied with this combo than double sekkajin, plus it sets up for resets and gimmicks.
  6. Only 4 months away for us importers. :V Go save the money to import now. XD I'll give it a try, but I'm not sure how much easier than EX these combos are. My execution wasn't good enough to pull them off in Extend.
  7. Just to clarify, you want to know this with 214D started, nothing else? You just wanna see if there's a way to end a corner combo with a freeze > ground stuff > sekkajin? I'll give it a shot. I might be able to talk some of my opponents into giving both of us a round to try stuff, similar to what the Japanese players did during location testing.
  8. I'll give it a try if I get the chance.
  9. I've watched a ton, but not in the past month or so. Without ever having practiced them, I might forget some thing here and there. XD
  10. I'm going to go play Chrono Phantasma at Anime Expo early next month. I'll let you guys know how Jin feels! Super excited. I guess I gotta go review some videos hardcore before AX so I can figure out my combos. XD
  11. I wouldn't know that, because I didn't even know what a DP was back in CT/CS1, much less a burst bait. XD I'm kinda curious to know though...
  12. My god, I laughed at this so hard. Is there a single tool Jin's missing?
  13. Don't buy into "Everyone's on equal footing with each new game iteration". It's bullshit. The more experienced players will excel, namely because the basics are approximately the same between the games. Not to mention that you only develop good fundamentals by playing fighting games. So if you want a head start? Play BBCSE. You might not like it as much and may need to readjust to a lot in the new game (CP), but readjusting is a LOT easier than learning everything from scratch.
  14. I can do it really consistently. You just have to know their rate of fall. It's pretty easy to do if you practice a bit. If you want to be easymodo about it, you could just not charge the starting 6B and it will still do more damage than the B Coup version.
  15. Man, it has been a while since I've been in this thread. :V I notice you have this listed for an air throw OMB combo: Air Throw> OMB> B Coup> 2A> 2B> 2D> [4B]> 2AB> C Bufula> [5B]> 2AB> B Coup [4828/None/9] It's better to do this instead: Air Throw> OMB > [6B] > 2AB > B Coup> 2A> 2B> 2D> [4B]> 2AB> B Coup [5003/None/9] You may have to microdash 6B and slightly delay 2AB, but you can fully charge that first 6B.
  16. Moy had said he was told to close it a long while ago... I doubt it's because of anything that was said there. We usually just talk about gameplay stuff anyhow, so it's not a big deal.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=LkZCJSebg3M#t=605s So it looks like ice car rapid cancel mixup still works, you just have to rapid during the startup of the followup.
  18. I think the loss of the old j.236D is the primary reason why the Valk matchup is that bad now. I'm not looking forward to that matchup without it.
  19. Does whiffing a j.A turn jin around immediately after an airdash or something? I keep seeing jin players jump, whiff j.A, airdash behind the player while whiffing j.A and then do a j.C that is now facing the opponent. Or do characters just turn around faster in the air now?
  20. With how good Jin's toolset is this iteration, I think Eruo really may have a chance to win, despite how godlike Souji's Arakune play is. That's the primary reason I'm hype for that match! If this were CSE I'd be saying RIP Eruo.
  21. I think I'm more hype for seeing Souji vs. Eruo first round. Oh man, I'm curious to see how that turns out.
  22. Yeah, that's what's great. But if I ever find myself with a spare 50 or 75 meter... I'm going to go hella stylish on someone.
  23. Either the second hit or the hop after ice car should put you in the air for a hizangeki. I for one will be burning all my meter all the time.
  24. I don't know about you, but I generally start blocking high as soon as I see someone take to the air, so I'd still consider it part of the overall startup you can react to. But yeah, my point is that TK Hizangeki is really 26 frames total unless you are doing it after 6B or some other aerial move, such as ice car > RC > Hizangeki
