  1. FAUST June 2-3 Loketests 5K No longer wall sticks on counter hit. (ElvenShadow note: causes knock down on counter hit) New item chikuwa, causes health increase. New item, iron weight, causes knockdown on counter hit. (ElvenShadow note: I think it causes knockdown on ANY hit) The Tarai/Tub item now tracks to the edge of the screen. 214K teleport force break now availble. Doesn't seem possible to combo from it. (ElvenShadow note: you can combo off it if you RC it and can hit them with standing punch into an air combo. Especially now that 5P is one frame faster. Might not be the best use of meter but if it can kill someone at the end of the round, why not?) (new move) Ikinari Oissu!: Base prorate change from 50% to 70% Force Break pogo can be performed by pressing D while hopping on pogo (up-forward on stick aka 9) Force Break pogo can now pickup grounded opponents to continue a regular combo (meaning opponent is not in OTG state after it hits) Force Break pogo damage prorates to 80% now Thanks to Zinac for posting the translated changes in the Faust forum. I added the stuff at the end about force break pogo and a few notes about personal observations I saw at the first loketest. I think that's the only thing he didn't already translate.
  2. its too early for me to really say if Baiken will still be really good but I would say she will still be a pretty solid character. her combos will be quite different but she still has great tools. im not a baiken player so im not really the best person to ask.

  4. LOL theres no training mode on the arcade version and loketests wont use consoles. Using Fausts teleports with an item covering him is good to do, and coin bounce and the new dumbell will be able to be used in this way.
  5. Dennis, Im not sure you can combo into new Ky FB from any normal. At least 2D and 5HS didn't work from what I saw. Might be different on crouch hit or counter hit. Senkei, not sure. Never saw it counter hit. Ppl just kept standing there and blocking the wrong way.
  6. Not sure if zappa could do this before but if you keep inputting the command for the move where his sword flys out in front and above him, it will stay there and keep twirling around
  7. Was just talking to shouji. Bad lands loop still works for 3 reps on light characters and some others. Can get 2 reps on heavy chars

JO Noticed 6k pass through horizontal chemical love Can double jump after super jump (?) Jackhound still force break New coin not overhead New coin causes knockdown on hit in air TE Can still do counter version of warrant Badlands property changed lost loop Can do both exe beasts instant or delay them. Can summon one while other is still charging. Both have FRC ZA Spinning sword move in air has FRC and it knocks up on hit for combos KY Can do either wall bounce or wall stick follow up after DP Force break lightning orb sucks opponent down more when hit in air(?) New FB greed saber move can't be combod into off normals from what I saw JU No tripple jump Slow walk Counter doesn't work on lows Can't combo off lightning tail DP like move ED 6p nerfed Shadow gallery nerfed Overall weaker PO Slide head causes regular OTG state so no combos unless you FRC and hit them while they are in air. Still knocks drown long time so you can use it to get in full screen like before but you can only use it for oki setups without FRC FA New food item just gives health I guess. Lame New dumbbell causes knockdown on hit. I used it in an item super and I think it hit another item and got canceled out or something Force break door only works from back door. Can be combod off off only if you RC it and catch with 5p RO Lazer normal power up by heat does 2 hits and launches. Game froze 3 times as Gaku mentioned BA Tatami seems it can still wall bounce in corner. Not sure of exact properties SO FB fafnir does ground slide. Can combo in corner Can do DP follow up kick on its own in dragon install as regular air special. Flaming MI Air dust causes ground slide on hit if they touch ground AB Projectile stays out longer after going end of its distance and does more hits causing longer block and hit stun and controls more spacE longer General Slashback changed. Causes hit stop. Will Investigate more later No EX colors but they will probly add later Didn't notice lag but only played once so far Taunting gives meter but not always. I think your opponent has to havE taunted first If some of this info is wrong redundant or not actually a change, my bad

  11. From watching the video, Faust has 2 new random items. One seems to be another sort of power up item like candy and chocolate. After Faust picks it up, I cant tell what it does because his tension, health, and burst meter all seem to be unchanged. Its kinda hard to see in the video though. I wonder if it has some other property like temporary speed or damage boost or something? Hopefully its useful and not another waste of an item like the candy and chocolate. On the other hand, his other new item looks like a weight (like a hand barbell or something). It seems to function like a hammer that falls slower and has a bit more airtime. Seems like a great new item. I wonder if it has as much stun as hammer. Faust coins now bounce after hitting the ground, making them actually somewhat good at controlling space. I am assuming the bit at the end with Johnny was just for fun and the chances of ever seeing a 4 coin item super are just as rare and pretty unseen as always. Johnny's coin didnt seem to bounce but the upward arch one looks like a nice little new tool for him. Also Fausts FB follow up to back door looks really cool. I wonder how safe it is on block. It didn't seem to combo off of the 2HS but it looks like you can get some interesting setups with it since it is so instant. Certainly a nice little extra tool that I look forward to experimenting with. I hope he gets a little more changes since his are few compared to most of the cast, but I am glad that he still seems to play the same and all of his good stuff is still there from before! Not sure if they explained this on the site. I am having problems loading it. Ill try it again later. Also am very pleased with their mindset with rebalancing by making the weaker characters better and by changing the other characters to be interesting and fresh but still play similar to their old selves. So hype for this!! I will be at that location test in Akihabara for sure. Nothings gonna stop me from going!
  12. Thanks for the heads up. I didnt even know about this event. I've been pretty busy with stuff lately and haven't been playin much GG at all. I'd like to go. I already have other plans on the 28th so I can't enter the events that day but I think I'll try to enter the 3on3 on the 29th. I just need to get a team. Looks like they are taking pre registration for it online. I guess if I find the time I will try to update the blog again if people actually want me to.
  13. I sorta gave up on the blog last fall. No one seemed to really care about it anymore and I guess I lost the desire to keep writing. The fact that GG hasn't been in SBO anymore also means very little interesting GG related discussion. I can only type about how I played casuals and then got shit faced at the bars all night so many times. Maybe I'll revive it someday if there is interesting enough stuff to write about and if people are actually interested. I guess a lot of stuff has happened in my life since I stopped to write an interesting update but it wont really have anything to do with fighting games. I don't think anyone really cares though. I'm not really important or anything lol.

For those of you who feel that we didn't have enough space, I can assure you that we will have more room next year. The event went very well with very few issues and it seems like most people had a great time. As for BB, sorry that we had to do top 3 payout but there isn't much point in doing top 8 payout in an 8 man tournament. I thought more people would enter BB but I guess I was wrong. Next year I will probably just make BB $10 and top 3 payout unless the BB community shows more interest next time. Expect us back next year for FFV. It's gonna be bigger and better!
  21. REMINDER 11:00 AM - Sign ups for all games begins. 12:00 AM - GGXX, SSFIV, MK start as for UMVC3, BB, and KOF... those games will start roughly an hour or so after the other games start. Teams start once all singles tournaments are finished. We have the venue until 3 am. All tournaments will easily finish before then, but we will have extra time for casuals and money matches. Also remember that there will be casuals at Nickel City on Friday night from 7 pm. Regardless of what games you plan to enter, please be there at 11 AM for registration. Even though some games start later, we want to be able to make brackets as fast as we can
