Everyone should go to Seasons Beatings this year. Ghaleon is doing his best to try to make GG a HUGE tournament. You should all go out and support it for sure. I will also most likely be running Frosty Faustings again in the winter.

didnt notice it, thanks for the heads up. Yea... I did fairly well against Satou but I missed a few setups and stuff that I shouldnt have, but in the end I pulled through. Against Maruken I was doing well for most of the first round. Shouldnt have gone for that sweep but I figured I could jump in time to block his counter but I failed to and thats when things started going bad. The 2nd round was just me choking big time. I cant believe I only threw one item the entire round and then I hit the wrong button at the very end heh... I noticed lots of missed opportunities from watching that vid. Oh well.

Most arcades dont really allow people to randomly record matches, otherwise I would have posted a shit ton of vids by now lol (well that and I dont really have anything good to record with, but if it was more readily allowed I probably would have bought a camera by now) Anyway, yea next time just say hi. The place I always play at is called Mikado. It is in Takadanobaba, which is only one stop away from Shin Okubo on the Yamanote line. Its located in the ally that runs along next to the station. When you exit from the Waseda exit, just go left and then when you get to the first ally which is right by a pachinko place, turn left down the ally. Keep walking till you see the Lawson. Mikado is right next to / above the Lawson. Thats the best place to play for casuals. The tournaments this weekend are at Mikado on Saturday and Alpha station in Okubo on Sunday. Alpha station is not usually a good place to play GG for casuals but the tournament will be big. To get there, just exit Shin Okubo station and go left. Keep going straight and eventually you will see Alpha Station on the right side of the street. Who are you btw? Are you a foreigner living in Japan or just visiting or something? Shinjn, thanks for the props man. Are you coming to Japan to chill again this summer? Sucks you couldnt win the European qual. Would be cool to go drinking if you can make it. Matt, yea I get what you are saying. I havnt really been getting pissed off or raging IRL at the arcade or anything, but I guess at this point it is starting to look a little hopeless with only 2 weeks left. Still, I will see it to the end. I think the biggest thing thats getting to me is the ulcer honestly. Having it in the first place stresses me out, and when I feel stressed out I like to drink, and when I cant drink it makes it worse, so its just a big ongoing cycle until this damn thing goes away. Thats why im gonna take like the next month off of drinking. Anyway, I appreciate everyone's support. The last blog post, I just didnt have time and wanted to get it out of the way and didnt feel like typing it all in great detail. Next week I should have way more time. Yo. As far as I know you can buy the SBO and TGS tickets as a set. You can buy them once you get to Japan from any Lawson or Family Mart convenient store from their ticket machines. Not sure when they go on sale or how much the price is, I havnt really looked into it, but usually TGS is only 1000 yen and Tougeki depends on how many days you attend. Not sure about their pricing this year yet. TGS is held at Makuhari Messe which is a big convention center in Chiba, so SBO will be held there this year as well. There is a last chance qualfier spot as far as I know, so you will be able to try for a spot, but they might have a random drawing for which teams get a chance to enter since too many may try to qualify. I dont mind answering questions. Its all good. Hopefully by the time you get here I will be back to 100% drinking condition so we can knock a few back.

SIne, I disagree. Millia is one of my worst matchups. I-no is bad against Faust. I just happened to out play him on that given day. I was pretty surprised honestly. He beat me the following week though. blog updated again

bbq sauce, yea you have some good points for sure. I can understand how those would all be issues. I suppose the best bet would be to have an online GGAC for PS3 and 360. I will try to make a suggestion for it next time I have the opportunity but of course, thats all I can do so dont get too excited yet.

wow, sorry to hear the GG tourny got shit on. I cant say im surprised though. Im also curious how many people entered. Im sad to see how dead GG is in the US. I think that if there actually still IS a GG community in the US, its about time someone organizes a separate main GG major that would essentially be the EVO for GG in the US. I was sorta trying to do that with Frosty Faustings but not that many people bothered coming out. Maybe the timing was wrong. I will run FF again if I am back in the winter which I probably will be, but other than that, I cant do much else. It just makes me kinda sad to see the game die in the US, espessially since its quite healthy here in Japan and I am still in the middle of SBO quals and loving it. I dont think I will ever get sick of playing GG, it just makes me sad that everyone is throwing in the towel.

well Pachi did say he is friends with John from PZ. I didnt mention anything about that situation with your spot. Honestly its probably a dead issue at this point. Last year, everything seemed to go fine as far as the qual and bringing it up at this point isnt going to do any good. I dont even think there is a US GG spot this year, is there?

So Im friends with Pachi now and he works for ASW. I forgot to mention the online GG thing to him but the next time I see him I will certainly put in a word about it.

That was yesterdays tournament, it was only a preliminary. The block finals (B-4) are next Sunday.

blog updated Oh yea, I forgot to mention that the crazy stalker girl WAS at the block finals 2 weeks ago. She talked to me a little but wasnt as persistant as before. It was probably too crowded to follow me. She also said she is friends with Nemo's wife which I found surprising. Also, check this page. It has the official results of the B2 block finals on there.
