  2. We should definitely try to set something up. There's nothing that says they need to be bi-weekly, or that we even need to make them into a traditional set of ranbats.

  4. I guess I can try to help out, but I can't guarantee any sort of consistent schedule on my end. This is the time of year i get the most hours at work. Also, I get off work at 9pm Saturday. I'll drop by late and stay all night I guess. Also, Azrael looks pretty damn good at the moment. His bad matchups didn't all miraculously 180 in his favor or anything, but they got close enough to being even that he can beat any character now. I wish we had hakumen players just so I can scream "FUCK YOU" as I anti-air agito. The lab is going to be quite busy this weekend.
  5. Patch is out TCL > rapid > j.C > 6A > j.C > 214D > 5A > aerial works on the entire cast. So glad! (I haven't tested it on *everyone* but I've only tried it on characters that it didn't work on before, like Hakumen/Rachel). Sentinel dump feels weird, but oh soo good,.

  7. I think I remember the match you're talking about. It was with MAD (Teddie), I think, who is a fantastic player. Honestly, he just makes people look bad sometimes I'm honestly pretty bad right now at reading names too. If it isn't a top player, where I can go by color choice and psr, I usually just ask Jourdal.

  9. Azrael has consistently high damage, but is far from having the best damage in the game. Hakumen, Kononoe, Hazama, Kagura, just to name a few. We're definitely up there though.
  10. Thanks Reako for helping with the video thread. The format you used for the matches was perfect too! Anytime you guys feel like posting some Mitsuru footage, go right ahead. Occasionally, I'll update the main post with the new links, clean up the thread by deleting those posts, and give you guys credit for the help. It's what Zeth's been doing with the Azrael video thread until I took over, and I really thought it helped keep things organized. AchedSphinx, I'll quote your post here in case anyone wants to discuss those matches too. From now on, I think I want the video thread to be only for posting links, using the general discussion thread for everything else. Yamashita is incredibly strong with Mitsuru already, which is no surprise. Considering how strong his fundamentals have always been, Mitsuru feels like an excellent fit for him. If he sticks with her, I feel that he could become the best Mitsuru. Period. Shabrys definitely looks good though. I always felt that the matchup was slightly in Mitsuru's favor before, but I'm no so sure anymore. There's a few things I noticed that changed about the matchup though: First, our 5AA has enough damage to break Asterius now, which is great. Safely taking persona cards from a distance is a big deal. The 5A buff lets Mitsuru pressure shabrys from further away. In vanilla, her crouching height let her low profile max range 5A. But no more! This is pretty huge imo for all of the characters that could crouch it at distance before. Chie, Kanji, Lab, Shab, Naoto, Liz, etc. I thought there was more, but my mind is blank right now. woops. edit: I guess I double posted. If you guys ever feel bad about doing that, DONT. Double posting is A-OK with me. If you have something to say, please don't feel discouraged to make a new post to do it!
  11. The P4U2 tier list was based solely on wins from people playing at Arcadia. If there just happened to be a Tsubaki god there, then they would have said she was S tier. It's just an early list anyway. Lets give the patch time to develop before jumping to any real conclusions.
  12. Azrael is definitely top in 1.1 imo. Just like greatfernman said, he was already strong and only got better, while most other characters got a little worse. I think that arcadia tier list MIGHT have been for pre-patch BBCP. They also released a P4U2 tier list, which was pre 1.1. It was solely based on the players at that specific arcade, anyway, so it probably isn't the most credible thing ever. Also, IDGAF about double posting. If you ever have anything to say, ask, talk-about, or whatever, don't hesitate to post.
  13. You need to visibly see azrael jump before inputting j.D. Hope that helps.
  14. The damage is negligible and, in some cases, the extra hit can create too much space between you and the opponent for j.D to hit. I'm not saying it's bad to j.A, but I don't want anyone to feel like it's necessary. Then again, more damage is more damage.

  16. It just sounds like you aren't inputting it all fast enough. Although Azrael uses delayed gatlings and some links, his air normals can be gatlinged from one move to the next. Be sure to jump cancel j.c as quick as possible and don't wait before using j.d. There's usually no reason to use j.a j.b j.c to be honest. 5b j.b j.c dj.d is simple.
  17. I actually have a few ideas for comboing into tentarafoo, but some of them might just be wishful thinking. I'm going to cross my fingers.

  20. Using hornet to get two weakpoints in a valiant combo is only possible off good starters, where TC>valiant is started asap. An example would be 6a > 5b TC > valiant Edit: although it should work on the entire cast in the corner, the timing for 214d varies between characters, usually with a slight delay so that the other player lands on it as it's already active, effectively reducing your own recovery. Tager for example though, does not require this delay.
  21. I think it's reasonable to assume that this sort of thing will still be possible in 1.1. If it changed at all, it would likely either become more consistent, or (less likely) it would just not work. Those combos are super practical by the way. If they end up working consistently in 1.1, then I'll probably be using them for many of my punishes.

  23. I'll be doing my best to keep everything up to date. If you guys ever have anything you want covered, just let me know and I'll make it happen. Although, I will be a little bit busy for the next week because of finals, but that definitely isn't typical.
  24. I'll be taking over for Zeth as Azrael mod. I've said it a few times already, but he did an outstanding job, so I have some big shoes to fill.
