Ray, thanks so much for the sig. I'm technically working saturday, but it's not general lifeguarding. It's some more recertification classes we're stuck doing every spring. like 8AM-5PM or something. There's also things that I absolutely have to get done at some point by sunday and now I have more limited time. But I'm touched that you want me there so bad. If the planets align for me, I might be able to stop by.

Haha ya. I was purposely dropping them at the points when Gabe's been known to burst. OMC > run up 5A > Block lol. I just wanted to finally put some footage here, even if it's a mirror. Maybe next time I'll play Kanji all the way through. EDIT: I did 5AA > j.A > j.B > dj.A > j.214B expecting him to back tech. It's such a shame that stuff like that doesn't really work in higher level play.

Here's a set I had in Grand Finals for a local ranbat. Keep in mind that Kanji is my sub now and this is a mirror match. I would have played Mitsuru (like a jerk, whatever) but since I was in winners, I figured "eh, why not". I baited too many bursts, which I know is a bad thing. The tournament after this next one is on the 31st, which is Easter. I don't know about anyone else but it's very unlikely that I'll go to that. Don't most people do stuff with family or something? It seems like it would be difficult to find 8 people to go for anything then.

Who do you guys think are some good Azraels to watch? It's been quite a while since I had the time to look through a lot of footage and it's too often that the matches I find aren't impressive. Please let me know the names of who you think are good/interesting players who also have some footage available. It's not very helpful to just list the top players, since there's little to no footage for the majority of them.

Wow, that actually means a lot. I can't wait to go get my Italian beef and French fries (they have really good fries). Keep in mind that it's probably going to be really busy, loud, and probably not the best place to hang out for several hours. But it will have food everyone will probably like. And just because I somehow forgot to say this all earlier, Sunday was a lot of fun. GGs to all. Thanks for letting me use your stick, Ruben. Kanji mirrors were not as back and forth as I hoped but still really fun. I feel bad that me and Gabe didn't have a routine in mind for the start of the first round. I remember the last time we did Kanji mirrors; we both jumped, air turned, and batman dived in opposite directions. I really hope I get several days before the next hazbat just to practice Narukami. Doing a whole tournament with him would be so much fun. I just don't want to, you know... get bodied or anything.

Just so you know, most Portillo's serve beer but I heard that this one doesn't. Either they don't have their liquor licence yet or they don't want to serve alcohol so close to the hospitals. I'd love to go with for your first experience there but I haven't got a clue when I'll have time again. Enjoy it. Remember that one will open up at Tempe Marketplace over the summer. My friend brought his copy of BBCS over and I played the tutorial where Rachel is explaining things. I instantly loved her as a character and tried her out but eventually found that her style (most zoners) just didn't fit me. I mained Bang for a while simply out of love for his sheer manliness. Eventually I found that I loved characters that hit hard and got to be creative with their confirms. I loved using Tager's magnetism in his combos and using links and IADs in Hakumen's. Before p4a came out I was maining Tager, but now that I have a better understanding of what I enjoy the most from my characters, I'll be maining Azrael for sure. I still love grapplers but I know that Hakumen and Azrael fit me a little more. Links. Man damage. Fun creative combos with lots of IADs. Man damage.

I use 5D in those same situations, but lately I've been trying to mix it up a little. Many people are in the habit of ducking right after I burst, throw, ect. Sometimes I'd rather use a B Coup, which is safe and plus at that distance. IAD j.D is pretty good too.

Thinking about it, doesn't Azrael's Kamina outfit also look it it could be for Laharl too?
