Based on the footage we've seen so far, I wouldn't really say he's anymore of a mixup character than your average character. He's more of an all purpose rushdown character. If you're looking for a mixup character, you'd be better off looking at Aigis or S. Labrys [Asterius]. Though I guess Shabrys would count more as setups.

P4U2 Sho Minazuki Combos Part 3 by Hemlock

Based on my personal observations of the overall community since I started lurking here 3-4 years ago, I can't really say I'm surprised by these turn of events. I'm disappointed but not surprised.

I wouldn't say the chances are terrible. P4U2 had a week long loketest 2 weeks before it released. Can't remember how BBCP went but I've noticed in general they sometimes do last minute loketest to test out network functionality as well.

I'll have to wait and see some footage with the buff but I think it'll get a few more people playing Shadow characters but not too much more. On an unrelated note, this week's footage was pretty good. Looks like Okusan and Die-Chan are putting in those hours for Persona Sho. The way Domi uses Shadow Berserk with S. Akihiko is a bit out of the ordinary but interesting. Can't say for sure but it feels like he likes to use the activation to scope out what's going on.

Yeah, you are still a bit lost so I'll give it one more shot to get you back on the right page but then I got to go. Basically, general and specific investments are irrelevant. Remember, the point that other people are trying to make is that you need to make greater investments to specifically compete. So, it really doesn't matter if you go to locals and travel to majors for stuff more general than competing because it doesn't really change the fact that you have to travel to the major to compete to begin with. If you don't pay to go to the local or the major, then you can't compete. Basically, to prove your original point, you need to prove that you don't really have to spend all that much money to compete. Or you could concede your original point and try to argue something else, which is sort of what I think you're doing now. Anyway, good luck with sorting this out.

Just glancing at these last few posts/pages, it seems to me that you may have misunderstood what people were trying to say or maybe have lost sight of what you were originally arguing. It happens. Here's a quick 3 point summary of what just happened so you guys can get back on the same page. 1) You propose having to buy Kokonoe to be competitive is wrong 2) People propose that being competitive already requires much larger monetary investments in the form of arcade sticks, paying venue fees for locals, traveling to majors, etc. 3) Misunderstanding Point 2, You start talking about how traveling to majors is mostly for yourself.

That sucks. Hope you get well soon. Also, February 2nd sounds good to me for the next monthly. Somewhat related question, are we still doing weeklies or is that on hold indefinitely? I don't mind either way. I'm mostly just curious.

poverty is trying to tear us apart ;.; I hope you find a good job soon though. I'm not sure if it's trying to be the most balanced game out there but the latest version, Exe:Late, is trying/seems to have succeeded at being more balanced than the original version, which unfortunately got a reputation for being pretty broken from what I heard.

That's okay. We'll just have to make the times where we do bump into each other that much more epic. I should be at mashfests as well so we'll definitely meet at least once a month. Come prepared to push all the buttons in all the games! If you want? All the Konami drama is over and done with so it shouldn't be too long before SG Encore is on the consoles at Foonzo? (I should actually look into if that is going to happen when it releases as well as ask if I can update that one cab from Vanilla). So we can always find a place to play SG if we need to. But if you want to join in on the SG fun, I'd be happy to play/teach/get into long conversations about how I love this game almost as much as BB with you ^,^ I pretty much don't want to intrude on the Melty action though since that game looks pretty cool and I should play with you guys sometime so I can see what I'm getting myself into when UNi:EL finally releases on consoles.
