My point is: his jump is slow as fuck. If you are having trouble then you just aren't reacting fast enough.
-
what jumpins?
-
^ as stated above comman backdash is great. 1-24 INVINCIBLE and airborne.
-
Space him all day. 6B and j.C are great. His backdash isn't that great so just don't be too predictable with your jumpins. j.B should be plety active and easy to cross him up with. Sledge only autogaurds projectiles so 5b that shit on reaction. Litchi's DP is a projectile but if you do it right at the end of sledge you will invul through it and tag him after autogaurd runs out. If he is spamming it in pressure wait for a gap and dp that shit.

It's an Astral Heat, they aren't really made to be practical.
-
Make sure you're doing a jumping chun. I do a back jump 741236 C and it works on everybody so far.

Sounds good. Just thought a thread for just confirmed combos should be made. Character specifics and whatnot all in one place. +lots of videos will obviously be coming out

Qualifier was great. Was some stiff competition. Fighting a good Arakune is really scary. Also fuck v-13. Hate that bitch. Had me a bit disheartened at first. The game definitely needs an update... Not to talk shit about the players though, Goryus was definitely top notch. All in all I think I did as well as I could have considering I had no way to practice. Closest arcade to Kentucky is 5 hours away in Nashville, TN. Honestly if I hadn't dropped combos I would have beasted. I know they recrded the matches not sure if they are up yet. Started doing a lot better towards the end and was able to beat some good players. A great learning experience all in all. So I'm gonna get this game and practice the shit out of it. It's unbalanced a bit at the moment but is still very fun for a new game. Gonna make a combo thread as soon as I can to try and get a definitive list more organized. Looking forward to it. EDIT: vids are up if you want to see some failage. For the j. chun I prefer to do 741236+C for the back jump. Spacing works out pretty well. As far as Tsubame combo you just have to learn the earliest you can dash (was earlier than I originally though and had trouble with it initially) and hit with that 2C before they hit the ground like LK said. 3C [D] timings can very based on distance but is pretty standard, just don't forget to buffer that D. PS. reppin' Litchi this weekend for SBO qualifiers in Austin, wish me luck for the boobie lady.

I was joking, kind of like this whole thread. Jin is ez sauce.

Guys I'm seriously considering changing to Bang. This matchup is TOO hard. :psyduck:

The iad j.s is not really as burst safe against mid-weights as it is against lightweights. But empty jump sidewinders in general are burst safe as hell.

Be prepared to set your console voices to Japanese....

[CT] Bang Shishigami Combination Arts FRKZ MERGED
Brent-quest replied to AtTheGates's topic in Archive
Dunno if this has been posted yet but recent match vid with Dora: Bang Install: (vs. Ragna) 5A 5B 2B 6C j.D jc.D 2B 6C 9 j.B j.D 5C - 4410 damage awesome -
The only real problems I have are when I'm kind of close to the corner but kind of confuse myself on which combo to do so I'll try the j.C > j.C one. What advantages does using 6B have? OH shit nevermind. Just watched the Ueka vids, you can do 6B 2C if they as a distance helper if they are too far away from the tsubame, fuckin awesome. Also I've been trying to work in itsuuA (instead of tsubame) as my throw combo of choice but have trouble doing it on the forward throw. I guess I just have to cancel the throw sooner... EDIT: also, any idea which characters the air throw> land 5C (2) itsuuA combo works on? I'm pretty sure I've seen it on the fatties (rachel tager) and arakune but I'm not 100% sure.

I find that combo works anywhere except pretty close to the corner.
-
FYI: Tsubame Gaeshi combo midscreen: 623D dash 2C j.BC [D] ]D[ air dash BC <D< 6C tsubame 6C. I find the very slight delay when you buffer the D is very important. Like lordknight says they need to hit the ground before you call the staff for the combo to work properly. Also in corner I find j.BC dj. D falling j.C is easier than j.B dj.C D falling j.C.

I was visiting family in Brookings, OR. Spent some time in Crescent City CA. That's the farthest north west you can go. Closest GG is 6 hrs to Portland. when I'm farther south in CA, I'll definitely let you know. 3 weeks back, I spent 6 days in Phoenix AZ. I got to play with Nick (IKRENEGADE) and his entire crew. =) Matt- have you worked out Austin yet? It would be a shame to not see that May around...
-
Uh... hatsu has no invincibility.
-
Dunno why you would ever really WANT to stay staffless. You have no shoryu when it's out and shorter normals.
-
Block BBU> 2D CH > GV is best punish for BBU fyi. Don't have to mash GV at all, is tensionless, and hits at distances 2D CH GF wouldn't.
-
Understandable. Typically in GG terms "grounded" is used to denote a move that cannot be blocked normally in the air. You have to FD it or in BB instant block to be able to guard. I was aware that other moves simply cannot be blocked in the air making them true unblockables. I'm pretty sure Noel's 6C(2) has this property.

Couple comments and considerations/ errors. blasphemy. Max range j.C[m] is retarded good and spammable and j.C is definitely not as good as j.B[m]. j.C staffless is not that great as a poke or outside of combos. as far as "staff2" goes I think is kind of confusing since there is no staff1 being typed. I prefer to use the notation <D< for the returning staff hit. Just to set a precedence for further Litchi discussion. Also: You said "air unblockable" when I think you meant "grounded." You also said 2C is air unblockable as that is definitely not the case. Both TG and 2C can be IB'ed or barriered. Most of the other stuff is good. I will post some more combos and the ones I translated from the players guide.

Hakumen is solid. I definitely wouldn't put him as low as Tager or Carl. The only thing he really has against him are some bad matchups but I'd still put him at B.
