  1. So this thread has completely gone off-track with regards to Xrd. (No, discussion of theoretical gameplay mechanics is not relevant to Xrd.) But we're well past the point of splitting the discussion off, so keep on truckin'. Once new Xrd information comes out we'll make a new thread and start fresh.
  2. Their policies are largely unchanged, is my understanding.
  3. Boo. I'd heard good things about you. Maybe next time! Whoo! Whoo!
  4. Specifically, Michigan players appear to have confidence well in excess of their demonstrated skill. Though this is as much an issue of players not traveling as it is actual skill level. Also good shit Luna, it'd be nice to see you again.
  5. The only advantage to hold-to-tech, as the person teching, is that you're infinitely less likely to get an unwanted attack when you tech unexpectedly. (You're also infinitely less likely to get random throws from your techs, which I've done a handful of times. Consider it a trade-off.) On the offense, it makes catching bad techs a little more reliable. A good player will still decide when to tech instead of attempting to tech as soon as possible at all times. So, idk, it's fine.
  6. Only information from ArcSys is that development is taking longer than expected. No mention as to what, specifically, is taking longer.
  7. Fair points all around. If anyone can make it, awesome, but if not I fully understand.
  8. Leaning towards September 7th for the next BADC, any chance of Chicago making it? It's the weekend before The Fall Classic. If the date doesn't work let me know~
  9. A penalty applied to damage. If something prorates 80%, moves after it can only do 80% of their normal damage.
  10. Thinking September 7th for the next BADC, how's that date work for Tennessee? It's the weekend before The Fall Classic, other than that it's pretty clear.
  11. Some of you expressed interest in coming down to the last BADC. Plans changed, but if you guys still wanna make the trip, I'm thinking of hosting the next one on September 7th, the week before TFC. Any interest? Would the date work?

  15. 6K's startup looks a lot like Slide Head, so it can be used to fake out your opponent. It's not great at it, though, since 6K is so slow. (Unless you're in range to hit them, anyway.)
  16. Yeah, I don't think costumes would really be an issue even with this format.
  17. He's referring to the way the animations are displayed: they're presented like sprites, with deformations/exaggerations and everything, rather than normal tweened animations. So essentially the models are being posed to resemble the sprites. Rigged properly this shouldn't dramatically affect creating new outfits, though, and with a limited number of frames to tweak, the little inconsistencies could be solved pretty easily.
  18. If anyone else has any silly questions about VAs or popularity contests, try Google. If you have an actual question, try Zepp Museum. If you wanna talk about Chrono Phantasma, continue to post here.
  19. The PS2 port is faster than arcade, slightly, but arcade AC and Slash seemed to run identically.
  20. Gooood. Leaning towards late August/early September for the date.
  21. Just because j1n's post is funny doesn't mean you can use it to post meaningless off-topic bullshit, people.
  22. If it's green, flick it.
  23. If that Potemkin design ever shows up in his EX Slash palette...
  24. Yeah, man, any time! So long as you're willing to fight I'm happy to do so. Next time I'll focus on giving more advice, though. I plan on hosting another BADC in a few months. Haven't settled on a date yet, but I'd love it if you guys could come up for it. All tournaments are free with arcade entry ($10), with prizes offered if we get a decent turnout. Good chance to get in more games, especially with Michigan, Chicago, and maybe even Philly coming out.
