  1. Drill yes, Eddie no.
  2. I see what you mean. I'm curious about whether or not flick YRC is a thing that works. On the one hand the reflect frames are all in startup, on the other once you flick you start recovering...
  3. Could be. I think I'd rather flick, though (unless Trishula absorbs on frame 1).
  4. JP wiki says it has some upper body invuln, but details are sketchy. It also absorbs projectiles.
  5. Cincinnati's premiere (only) airdasher/anime fighting game tournament series, at the one and only Arcade Legacy. Admission is $10, all tournaments are FREE TO ENTER. In lieu of a pot, we'll be offering various prizes to the winner. Your admission also gets you full access to Arcade Legacy, which includes all 50+ arcade and console games on unlimited free play. (Though if I have to pull you away from Pop'n Music for a match, I'll be pretty mad.) Main Game List: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core + R (PS3/360) Persona 4 Arena (PS3/360) BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (PS3) Arcana Heart 3 (PS3) Melty Blood (PC - WE NEED SETUPS) Chaos Code (PS3) Special Event: Project Justice (DC)! Bring DC or PS2-compatible controllers! If I'm forgetting any games or you think there's something worth adding to the lineup, let me know. The exact schedule will be posted once we have a better idea of how many people are expected to attend. If you're interested in sponsoring the event or helping out as a TO, let me know. Rules: All games are 2/3 rounds, 2/3 matches. Grand Finals are 3/5. Nothing is banned. Go nuts. (Except Unlimited/EX characters ffs.) Winner of a match keeps character, loser can change. Anyone can change between sets. Arcana Heart 3: Loser can change character/arcana, winner can change arcana only. Melty Blood: Loser can change character/moon, winner can change moon only. Facebook Event page so you can gives us thumbs and whatever.
  6. I understand not using it on block, but on hit... why not? Better than just 5K > 2S > 2D if the stagger guarantees a sweep.
  7. You can't YRC while the opponent is in stun. I will put that shit in dustloop's header if I have to. It is not possible to continue a combo with YRC.
  8. Gigantic Blid's damage is nuts. Way bigger than it's ever been, to my knowledge. Way more than Buster. They've been gunning to make Overdrives more useful... 5P's super high now, 2P's faster (according to FAB) and back to its old self. Probably 5P's intended for anti-air, 2P for ground. Potemkin Buster RC falling j.H, c.S > 2S > Heat seems to be the go-to midscreen combo. I remember seeing FAB land something like... 5K > c.S > 2S > 6K > Flick and it all connected. But he doesn't do it now, so...? I want to see 6K used more midscreen.
  9. Whoops, sorry about that. Boards are now open.

  11. 5C > Crush Trigger, 6C > jc.Overdrive, j.623C~623D, 5C > Red 5D~D, dash 6A > 41236C~236D, 623C, dash 623B~22D RC 2363214C. If you time it right and get the OD version of 2363214C it's 10,065. If you're late and don't get the extra OD damage it's 9365. It's the go-to Challenge 30 combo, I haven't seen anything that hits harder, but I can't say I've looked much, either.
  12. I meant after the throw. Throw > dash 5C > 41236C > 236D, dash 6A > 236[A], 2363214C. 5C has to hit pretty while the opponent's pretty high to get 3C.
  13. If Columbus wanted to run some anime I'd definitely try to make it. (I better see some Columbus at BADC.)
  14. I like it. Wonder if you could use dash 5C > 3C > Miquelet instead for a bit more damage... I'd test, but my PS3 is (hopefully temporarily) out of commission.
  15. I dunno what I did, but I also can't get it to work anymore. I've tried several different revisions, but nothin'.
  16. Beyond those two specific colors, there is no change to gameplay.
  17. More throw combos, because everyone wants more throw combos. Corner back throw, Tager variant Back Throw > 236[A], 623C, dash 5B > 6B > jc.C > j.D 3025 Damage, 21 Heat, 1 Heat-Up. I wouldn't have expected Tager to be harder to combo than anyone else, but here we are. Corner forward throw, meter-burn variant Forward Throw, 5B > 6B > 623C, 41236C > 236D, 623C, 2363214C 4149 Damage, -28 Heat, requires 1 Heat-Up. 4650 with 2 Heat-Up.
  18. It is not possible.
  19. Finally watched some match videos and started experimenting with no-resource throw combos. You can get corner and pretty damned good damage from literally anywhere if you use the right throw. In Corner Forward Throw (opponent in corner) [opponent crosses over] 5B > 6B > Snaphance Fist, dash 5B > 6B > sj.C > j.D 3059, 22 Heat, 1 Heat-Up [opponent crosses over] 5B > 6B > Snaphance Fist, dash 6C > jc.C > j.D 3053, 21 Heat, 1 Heat-Up [opponent crosses over] 5B > 6B > Snaphance Fist, delay dash 6C, 5B > 6B > sj.C > j.D 3280, 23 Heat, 1 Heat-Up Back Throw (opponent in Corner) 236[A], 6A > Snaphance Fist, dash 5B > 6B > sj.C > j.D 3181, 22 Heat, 1 Heat-Up 236[A] > 5B > 6B > Snaphance Fist, dash 5B > 6B > sj.C > j.D 3194, 22 Heat, 1 Heat-Up Back Throw (you in Corner) 236[A], 6C, 5B > 6B > j.B > j.C > j.D 3007, 21 Heat, 1 Heat-Up 236[A], 5C > 3C > Miquelet Capture, 5B > 6B > sj.C > j.D 3020, 21 Heat, 1 Heat-Up Near Corner (at starting position, throw towards closest corner) Forward Throw dash 6A > 236[A], Miquelet Capture, (dash) 5B > 6B > sj.C > j.D 2932, 21 Heat, 1 Heat-Up (this one's hard, don't do this one) Back Throw 236[A], 5C > 3C > Miquelet Capture, (dash) 5B > 6B > sj.C > j.D 3020, 21 Heat, 1 Heat-Up (on some smaller characters, you'll need to step back briefly to connect the 5C after 236[A] Midscreen (between starting positions) Forward Throw delay dash 5C > 3C > Miquelet Capture, dash 5B > 6B > sj.C > j.D 2842, 20 Heat, 1 Heat-Up Back Throw Nothing gives Corner from starting position, use Forward Throw. Edit: You can pretty much treat Air Throw as Forward Throw, but because they bounce back so much more, you don't need to dash for the 5C/6A/whatever. Conversely, you need to be closer to the corner to actually get them in there.
  20. Official tournaments only use the default modes. No alternate modes are allowed. This includes GGXX, GG, Gold, Shadow, and EX characters. GG mode is the only one I've fiddled with. Off the top of my head, any of this could be wrong: you can't Burst or RC. You can charge Tension by holding Dust + another button. You gain a new attack by pressing Punch + Kick; if it lands, the opponent has to input three directions according to an on-screen prompt, or be IK'd. Most moves are jump cancelable. I don't remember if Faultless Defense works, but Slashback definitely doesn't.
  21. It's been a day, fuck off with that. Either find info or comment on what's been found, don't complain. Did you check his board?
  22. time returns to normal once you land a hit.
  23. I think the screenshot for clashing in the System page changed, could someone check and see if the text is any different? The spark on the clash makes me think they might've gone back to the old clashing system.
  24. I can't say I ever recall anything besides a shoddy translation even implying that anyone but Noel was getting a different outfit. (Also if you live in Cincy why do I not know you?)
